Few people realize what an undertaking this is. You didn't just make basic skincare for moisturizing or acne. Melasma and hyperpigmentation is a great challenge. And wonderful that you're addressing an issue experienced by many people with dark skin types.
Wow, as a digital color expert with 39 years in the field I know exactly how hard it was to get that color just right. The color looks perfectly balanced, and the overall look of the packaging is rich, aesthetically pleasing, and has the aura of being very high quality. Long time fan and lurker of your vlog, Dr. Idris! As a med student and a fan of intelligent + honest marketing and product design, your skincare line is just *chef's kiss* , from formulation to the packaging.
I appreciate all derms who take time to engage in vlogging about skincare education, knowing that it's not always convenient for everyone to get a proper derm consult, and there are so many self-declared gurus out there spewing a lot of misinformation on skincare.

How do you know the price?
I'm looking forward to receiving my Major Fade System! An idea for a video (longer version) would be a deep dive into what complementary products we still want to include in our am and pm routines, how to use the MF system with targeted actives, what we don't need to use with it, etc. I for one would LOVE to see the whole breakdown of the system, since it seems it will simplify and eliminate so much from my am/pm routines!!! Thanks Dr. Idriss, you are such a great source of skin care information, I have changed SOOO much of what I do now because of your honest and science based explanations. I appreciate you!!!

Um that serum packaging is absolutely genius!!! I am in the medical field and I can definitely tell that you kept everything in mind that you learned in the medical field while keeping the general population in mind too. That’s so humble! So many dermatologists make products and it’s almost like they don’t care about the packaging which is crazy since that is what keeps these expensive beneficial ingredients safe to use on the face longer! I love the ingredients you incorporated! It’s actually all stuff I can use and I’ve been using products with the same ingredients but when I buy these products….it costs me like $30-50 more than what your whole system does. That’s a huge deal 😮!!! I mean that’s like one less expensive product from Sephora or I could buy a few products from The Ordinary with that! These days we gotta save money idc how well off you are I mean let’s get real lol thank you for bringing some awesome freakin skincare that is beautiful too. Purple is my fave color too so that helps 😁💜

Oohh yeah, purple is my favorite color too! And I agree that the list of ingredients are all ingredients I've tried to incorporate in my routine, but have to have so many products to try to do so which is extremely difficult and expensive to do.

I ordered the full set after seeing melasma and age spots this last six months, all I can say is wow. After one week to ten days I’ve noticed such a difference. this is everything. as a sufferer of melasma/sunspots (half-korean v sensitive to the sun/heat) this has me soooo excited! i really appreciate the thoughtfulness behind the formulation and the packaging. i've been hoping for a while that more brands will start using the pump jars because open jars are so gross. the serum packaging is brilliant! hopefully in pillowtalkderm's future there will be a vitamin c product with this kind of genius packaging. love that you're planning for refills in the future, too. i can already imagine getting my refills and peeling off a foil seal or something and getting excited to put it in the jar/syringe. AND my favorite color is that exact shade of purple-y lilac, so it's just pretty to look at! also can't wait for the hyper serum because i tend to stay away from using the big exfoliating acids (retinol, aha's, bha's) too often since it makes me more sensitive in the sun (no matter how diligent i wear my spf 50 everyday), so i have to be careful and intentional about exfoliating, but it feels like those ingredients are in every. single. damn. product these days. and finally, i love that it's HA free because my skin just gets so dry with HA. i'm very excited and cannot wait!

I just ordered this line. I have been struggling with melasma due to menopause. My doctor prescribed me 12% hydroquinone and it worked like magic but sadly you're not supposed to use it long term. So now I'm looking for something that will work as well long term. Fingers crossed 🤞

I love PtD’s first product releases being a focus on melasma/brightening. I’ve been following you for help with my (dry & aging) skin and my boyfriend’s (acne prone) skin. Lately I’ve been trying to build a regiment for my mom and her melasma from your videos on it. I love that you made that easier with this system, it is MADE for her 🥰
I like the thought that was put into this line. Everything from the colors used on the boxes to the color of the containers to making sure that the glycolic acid serum is in an opaque container to protect it's efficacy to the jar that the moisturizer comes in was all done so well. I really like it when moisturizers have a pump jar. And the fact that you can open it to make sure that you get all of the product out is such a great idea. Also the way the serum is dispensed plus it's color is beautiful. And I like that the serum and the moisturizer come in refillable containers. I give Dr. Shereene Idriss and everyone at Pillow Talk Derm an A+++ for attention to detail, originality, ingredients, creativity and insightfulness. 💜

I cannot say how much I adore the amazing thought process that went into these products my goodness! The packaging makes so much sense! And considering that these products were made by a doctor who ACTUALLY KNOWS WHAT'S UP with formulation and packaging, who hates BS and false information(looking at you Tiktok), I can trust this product line up! Congratulations!! Everything about this is meticulous!! From the packaging design and functionality, to the actual ingredients and product layout. The sustainability is also lovely. I absolutely adore how spill proof and sleek the packaging is, it really is perfect for people on the go. Now I won't feel bad cluttering up the hospital sinks whenever I need to freshen up after a long surgical shift. Im not just saying this because I'm a fellow viewer. I am saying it as someone who is in the Graphic Design industry since just the packing alone you hit off the ball park. Everything is so well thought out and make sense. As for the products I don't suffer with hyperpigmentation. But I would love to buy your future products. I also think in my opinion they are worth the price considering all the work and thought you put into this brand.

Congrats on creating this line - is it suited for rosacea-prone skin and can it be used in combination with prescription retinoids (for anti-aging)? Also, will you ship to Canada? (As I understand it, none of the products contain ingredients requiring DINs so they should all be readily acceptable for shipping to Canada.)
I was really looking forward to this purchase to get disappointed in the end by the price point and no shipping to Canada. I can’t justify 200$ CAD (with MyUS shipping) for the trio as a long term commitment no matter how valuable the products are and I am sure they are. I was also really hoping that early access meant a discount and I think I heard in Insta stories 50% off early access. I am sure the products are amazing and you will have a big success. You can use them with tretinoin provided that your skin can tolerate it.

@@kozmikgrrrl Right now, the only dermatologist that I can totally believe is Dr Dray. She doesn't have any skincare lines, nor does she want to. And she is a advocate for less products with affordable price. Let's hope that she doesn't change like all the other youtuber derms.

I adore the packaging. Purples and yellows are my absolute favorite color combo. That alone makes me want to purchase it. Knowing that these will be exceptionally well made and be effective make me need to have these in my life!
