I agree. I brought the sun stick with me to a beach sunny destination for reapplication and very quickly see how it isn't great because you get clear streak darkening and that comes from insufficient swipes...
I've noticed that when someone recommends dry brushing, they fail to mention that people prone to blood clots should not dry brush. I love your videos and look forward to your new posts each Saturday!
I'm so grateful for your presence on RUclips and the no nonsense content you consistently put out! Thank you for your tine and for guiding us away from all the gimics being upsold to us by the skincare industry. It's hard out to resist the hype soemtimes!!
I would LOVE a video about skincare post big weigh loss, how to care for your body when skin is loose/ sagging. Also an advanced, affordable retinol video would be hella helpful
Can you please do a 'Let's get intimate' on Polyglumatic Acid'? Also I love how you always debunk the trends so fairly backed by facts, experience, and science. You're the best in the game!
I love the Super Saturated with their reusable mask! The reusable mask by itself is pretty amazing with any serum really. It washes so much easier than I expected too. Absolutely love it. It works really well letting it sit under the mask for 10-15 minutes. Mixing it with a moisturizer is a really good tip, I'm excited to try that.
I came here to say exactly this! I've been using their Avant Guard mask for quite some time and absolutely love using super saturated with the mask! I layer several other hydrating ingredients with it and top it with Liquid Gold from Stratia and sometimes have to rehydrate with Avene thermal water or something along those lines before putting on the mask and sitting for as long as I feel like it. Upon removal, the level of hydration in my skin is insane!! I'm glad she enjoyed it even if she had a criticism. I do agree it's pretty sticky but at the end after masking, I usually take a little water and rub it in and then go in with my other skin care and it's totally fine
I like this Tik Tok debunking segment. Pretty sure you’ll have enough material to do this quarterly. Could be a repeat segment. Get Dr Kim in there. :) Aside that, would love to know about alternative treatments to light or laser therapy when you can’t use these. (For rejuvenation, little veins, dark spots and rosacea)
The Experiment serum is a little sticky; but I love it. I spray my face with water to help it glide over my skin and put a moisturizer on top. I also tried, mixing it with my moisturizer like you suggested. That was great. Today I tried it with a thicker Hada Labo essence and it was so amazing.
Could you make a video about the best sunscreen sticks and how to properly use them please? I find them super useful to reapply on the go but had no idea they should be swiped 4 times at least, thank you for talking about it here! Thank you for your videos! ❤
Good morning Dr. Idriss from St. Louis! I am an older "nerd" and look forward to your videos on Saturday mornings. As a fellow melasma sufferer, I am always interested in the latest and greatest treatments apart from the gold standards. I appreciate that you also give products in each price point to fit everyone's budget.
❤Thank you so much for taking time away from your beautiful family to do RUclips ❤. I have learned so much and have watched nearly all of your videos. My son has KP and until your video we were told by two drs nothing to worry about/ nothing to do. We are treating it now thanks to you and seeing improvement. ❤
OMG! Can you please do a quick short video on how you are getting rid of the burn on your forehead (and burn scars in general)! I did not know you could cover burns... I have a huge scar from a second-degree cooking burn on my forearm which flares when I get hot - and is beginning to bother me slightly!
Thank you for the video! I specially liked the portion of the video that you talked about the sunscreen stick. I usually use a sunscreen stick (Shiseido Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF 50+) to retouch my face in the afternoons when I leave the office on my way home. Good to know we have to apply several layers! Thank youuu! :-)
That UV camera is amazing! I'd love to see you do a video using this to show some popular SPFs on the market and show which really is the best for skin protection!
So excited to be here bright and early with you! Looove your products, the serum and moisturizer have transformed my skin into a dewy redness-relieved softness ❤
The sunscreen demonstration. ❤ OMG. Thank you. I had no idea there was such a coverage difference. Can you add the Geek & Gorgeous Vitamin C serum to your list? I'm really curious about it, I was reading how they make it in small batches so it's as fresh as possible.
I've been following your channel for about 6 months now, and my skin has improved exponentially! I did a full reset of my skincare routine and I've been slowly introducing new products. Some of the products that I've added that were mentioned in your previous videos are, Aveeno calm and restore moisturizer, innbeauty project green machine insta-glo resurfacing acid mask, and glow recipe guava vitamin c dark spot serum. My skin is loving these products and feeling better than it ever has. And obviously I'm still working towards skin that looks as amazing as yours. My next step is to go to a dermatologist because I'd like to try a script strength retinol. Of the ones I've tried (L'Oreal 0.3% Pure Retinol serum and the Glossier Pro-Retinol serum), I didn't get much change from either of them. I didn't like the glossier one at all, but the L'Oreal one I used for a longer amount of time. I think I just need a stronger amount of retinol. I live in Colorado, so I'm on the lookout for a derm, but until then, I was going to try the A313 pomade that you've recommended before. I know it isn't stronger, but I was thinking I might see small results since it's a different type of product. BUT I do have a question about sunscreen. I currently use naturium dew-glow moisturizer sunscreen. It's great for days that I don't wear makeup, especially since it's spf 50 pa +++, but when I tried it under makeup, it pilled terribly! So my question is what sunscreen would you recommend to wear under makeup? I try to go for k-beauty or j-beauty brands. I also saw the glossier invisible shield water-gel sunscreen and it's spf 35, but I was wondering the efficacy of this product. Any recommendations would be amazing!
When you can, please make a video on dark patches on knees, elbows, etc. I know that people of color are more susceptible to this. I have them on my knees & don't know how to get rid of them. I find myself envious of people who have nice even tone knees. I would appreciate it and thanks for being you!
Thank you for another excellent video. Could you do a video on the efficacy of hair growth products? I’m seeing so much marketing lately for hair growth serums, lights etc, and knowing Rogaine is effective, what products/procedures are legit worth the money? Flip side, what hair removal devices/products actually work? Thank you! 😊
Your thoughts about Sunscreen stick should be preached! Thank you. I'd suggest to write this on video title too. No nonsense, straight forward Dermatologist you are! Seriously love your content.
@@ScentCity yes. She should make a short atleast with that sunscreen stick section. After applying 12-14 times on the same area she got to see the desired protection which she got by applying the sunscreen moisturiser once on the other cheek. I'm sure now many so called influencers will start talking about it after seeing this video. But she's the FIRST to preach. So I want the credit should be with her as well as more people will get to know about the stick related protection.
@@knowledgehunter_ ok I think I interpreted the word ‘preached’ as ‘praised’ or something so that’s where I was confused. But I’m not a native english speaker so my bad :)
I didn’t realize I wasn’t applying enough sunscreen until I started watched you and Dr. Stephens. Who knew!? I was wondering if you would consider doing a long video on post treatment products? Like products that you should use following laser or microneedling treatments? As always, thank you! Love your channel!
I love your videos Shereene ans I’m going to buy the Beauty of Joseon stick because some sunscreen is better than none and it’s going to be perfect for reapplication !
Hello Dr. Idriss. I love, love, LOVE your videos! I know that in some of your short answers you said that for seborrheic dermatitis we should use prescriptive meds. But I would like to know what non-prescriptive products and routine would you recommend to someone with mild form of seborrhea and combo acne/blackheads prone skin with discoloration on top, both face and body. I watched almost all of your videos, but I'm a bit lost to put together all the best products for such disposition so I would love to see you approavhing this topic separately. ❤
I’d love to hear your take on those powdered collagen supplements that are advertised all over the Instagram. Do we need collagen supplements ? Do they do anything ?

Hi Doctor! I've had rosacea with pustules for years now, and I was wondering if you can recommend any products? It's hard to treat and wish it would just go away :(
You should do a video with this camera using different sunscreens showing the actual coverage and the amounts used. I mix my 50SPF sunscreen with a toned moisturizer, hoping to get at least 30SPF. Also, it would be interesting to see hour by hour sunscreen's deterioration on the face, cause, lets not kid ourselves, who's really reapplying😆?!
Yep. I used pure Vegetable Glycerin diluted with 3 sprays of rosewater...based on a video from another country. I found out the hard way...that three sprays of RW was not enough dilution. I used at night for 2 months, until I noticed the blisters. It went from decent with occasional pink irritation spots to tiny pustules with white center allover my face. Now...every time someone mentions using vegetable glycerin or products containing glycerin...I am horribly triggered. I've been trying to fix the blistering for 3 weeks now. Looks better, but still tiny pustules appear...scattered around my face. Those white centers do "pop" like a pimple. I just try not to pop them...but sometimes they will not go away unless I DO. What a mess I've done to myself! Never use undiluted Glycerin...is the moral of my story.

I feel sad but glad that I found this video. Sad because I'm a big fan of stick sunscreen and I'm guilty of 1 swipe. Glad because I'd rather find out I'm using insufficient sunscreen now rather than later! Back to lotion sunscreen for me.
I love your videos. I live in Europe so some products that used in USA is not allowed here. I have mixture of oily and dry skin, plus sensitivity and acne so products that I use that are not too harsh on me are of Chrissie. I wish I could use cheaper brands but no luck with that as my eyes so sensitive. And I have fair, light skin so I use sunscreen a lot, it is so good to know about new products and trends
I would love a post about the Supergoop! glow stick! A lot of product seems to be dispensed with only one swipe, so I'm curious how it would show up on a UV camera. Love your videos !!!
That serum is quite interesting. When I heard high glycerine content, thought it was fab (I think I could use it as a mask along with another moisturiser, thanks for the tip!). However, when I heard polyglutamic acid, I thought of natto (fermented soybeans with an fascinating sliminess in a good way, and pretty tasty, but everyone's mileage may vary) and seems like it is prolly the thing that lends to the serum's texture. Natto can be quite tacky, and would form that strandy gooey stuff when you stir it with chopsticks before consumption. :D Also, polyglutamic acid kinda sounds tasty? Glutamates and its apparent synergy with salt and inosinates make good umami base for food maybe?
Can you test that Beauty of Joseon sunscreen you love? I bought it, used it for about a week and got hyperpigmentation as if I had not worn sunscreen at all!
Hi Dr Shereene, thank you for this informative video! Can you please comment on whether or not Shea Butter in face moisturizers can clog pores? Some say it’s comedogenic and some say it’s not.
Thank you for doing this. Maybe it’s just me, I have a very hard time trusting anything that has gone “viral” on Tik Tok. I am not surprised about the sun stick tbh. With sunscreen i really see people under apply even with their first uses in the morning. This is really the product you really want to put more than not enough and with those kind of products it is easy to have a false sense of security i feel.
Finally, someone talks about the amount of coverage from using a sunscreen stick.
I agree. I brought the sun stick with me to a beach sunny destination for reapplication and very quickly see how it isn't great because you get clear streak darkening and that comes from insufficient swipes...
