That cameras don't do justice as to how FAST that car was going
Well done RIMAC
brief shots from cockpit, they really do :)
You obviously haven't seen McMurtry attempt the previous year. That thing is insane on this track and 10 seconds quicker.
Mate, you’ve enveloped yourself with people filled to the brim with passion and one and the same objective. I’m proud to witness every single one of you coming together to realise great things.
the people that say EVs are not exciting are completely ignoring reality.
@@EV3NTH888 reality is, you need to spend 7 figures to have fun in an EV
@@user-pl6hy3km6s nonsense, the Chevy bolt is a torque beast in it's price range. the tesla model 3 performance is a performance beast. that's the reality
There's simply no justification for electric motors making Horsepower. It's a complete joke. People who think otherwise don't understand the physics or engineering.
@@grantmccoy6739 so, is that why you're the richest person in the world due to your genius?
Congrats to our Croatian Brothers from Poland! 🇵🇱❤️🇭🇷

Congratulation! another notch on the wall for this EV beast 💪
Miro drove it for 49 seconds and immediately needed two muffins to recover
😂😂😂
Those are pastries my man.
@@Wellspicedchaffinch Inside US everything from the bakery is a muffin :D
Congrats to the Rimac team! 🖤💚🖤💚🖤💚😊
Congratulations Rimac! This is an important record.
Great to see the 'green Nevera of records' doing it again.
Maybe it is time to have the records decal sticker on this particular Nevera unless more records are on the plan 😉.

Mate rimac just become my big idol since i first time wacthing him in carwow, i just really hope to have the rimac nevera book with his sign in it as my inpiration to be able to buy one in the future❤ ❤❤
Amazing things happen for amazing people! On my way to buy a lotto! Maybe I can get on the list for the next available car. ❤️🇭🇷
At this point, watching rimac breaking a Record is a daily task
Congrats for Rimac 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 From Brazil
Svaka čast idemo Rimac
Nevera looks sick in this livery. It is a throwback livery to BMW e30 from Mate. 💪🏻
Well done Rimac, VERY impressive!
I am waiting for new model. Already it is so good
Such an sick car
Congratulations Rimac 'Dream Team', special to the driver Mr.'Mrgud', profi driver at all.Aplause, 👏👏🔝🆗✌️🍹😉
Congratulations team Rimac!
How long before there's a massive crash into the crowd?
It would be great to know what car was the previous record holder and the time it set. It would give such a great perspective.
50.79 - Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance
@@timeluster From Nio EP9 wikipedia "However, it is not a road-legal vehicle and none of the 16 production model EP9s were ever registered for road use"
@@timeluster The EP9 isn't road legal and there's only 16 of them. Nevera is both road legal and truly usable. The Lucid is a full on luxury saloon, so the fact that it's right there with it is mind boggling.
@@johnracy2871I wonder what the Lucid Air Sapphire is capable of.
@@johnracy2871 It suggests that the extra 1000hp that the Rimac has over the lucid air isn't of much use and on a track like this where top speed never gets particularly high, that the speed off the line is probably the crucial factor.
Gratulation! Hi R. Mate! I wrote an email from Hungary about the next innovation in this market, I'm waiting for your reply!
Congratulations on this rather amazing achievement
Fantastic handling and speed. Yet I just witnessed an action movie without the sound.
What a car🤩🎉 Congrats!!!
1.7 seconds 😮😮😮😮
If I ever win the Euro Millions I will definitely buy one.
it’s a car that might look very outdated in a few years when other batteries like solid states are coming out that are way more energy dense and could make electric cars significant lighter.
Nice one guys
Nevera is moving boundaries and is a technological marvel. But it is not a production car in a real sense since numbers are very limited. And definition of a production vehicle is a very vague term. Non the less is a great achievement for our Southern neighbors. Greetings from Slovenia and keep on the good work.
U think of mass production cars not production cars
What a beast
Rimac is too good
Big congrats guys!! 👏👏👏
Record + faster than WRC Rally cars(Factory drivers), GT2 RS Clubsport, Ferrari 488 Challange....!!! Also congrats Miro! 👍
Rimac should come and shows next week to Jyväskylä special stages on How fast it is 😂
Congratulations on this new incredible EV record but one thing I’ll say is that Jesko Attack might’ve had a record if car was running on E85. It was only 1 second behind but still incredible times up that hill!
And there were 2 people in the car
@@RaouTV Body weight hardly makes much of a difference unless they’re like well over 200 pounds. The biggest differences here is just how much better the Attack handles in comparison plus it’s RWD so less weight.
@Steppenwolfs For the Jesko Attack it really does make a big difference. 1,280HP vs 1,609HP can easily change up how fast the time will be.
To put the extra power on the ground with only two wheels is almost impossible. It wouldn't make such a big difference. One second is quite a big margin. The passenger is more relevant in my opinion. I think both machines are great and the driver should be the decisive factor
@@iceslayer777dude, wtf are you talking about? Even an avg sized person is an extra 60-70kg. That absolutely makes a difference, it's adding 5% of the cars weight. Companies go to extremes just to shave off a KG for performance and you are trying to say an extra 60kg doesn't matter? 😂
I mean, you literally say RWD benefits because of "less weight" after saying the passengers weight doesn't matter. WTF?
1:55 *Editor, who put the BMW in a Rimac promo video ?* 😮
looks like hiden message of some sort.... let's wait till end of the year
Crazy Wonderful
W RIMAC NEVERA
Gotta love it. An electric supercar that looks super next to a Plaid.
Can you add playing cards to the spokes?
Hat off to you Mate and everyone at Rimac! Coming to the showcase event all major production car brands bring their showpony's to and showing them what you can do. And all this from an upstart Croatian car company, who woulda thunk..
I think you're making alot of Croatians proud aswell and it in a way is also advancing Croatia(n industry) into the modern world. Almost like you're stepping into the footsteps of Nikola Tesla (even though he was Serbian born lol).
Very much looking forward to the next steps in your enterprise, especially now that you've merged with Bugatti. (Achievement after achievement, once again hat off to you)
Nikola Tesla is Croatian born*
He finished elementary and High scool in Croatia! Went to USA with Croatian papers and Passport!! Thank's to him, town Sibenik in Croatia has World's 2nd Oldest Hydroelectric Power Plant !!! Only 2 days after World's 1st Tesla's hydroelectric Power Plant on Niagara Falls!! Tesla is also on Euro coins from Croatia!
@@joebeus6886Just to add, Nikola Tesla was in Serbia only for one day in its whole life. He got his nationality from his Serbian father but he also had a Croatian mother. Since he was born and raised in Croatia and never had any connection with Serbia, I would say that he is more Croatian than Serbian.
Tbh, idk exactly where Tesla was born and where he's born I would call his "nationality".
Funny, kinda expected there to comments on this aspect of my general comment. Well played.
(Btw I'm half Croatian, born in NL. I'd say my nationality is Dutch, even though I feel more at home in Croatia. Thought I'd put this out there in the name of fairness in regards to all these remarks).
All in all it's a moot point that doesn't change anything. Just be proud of Mate Rimac ;)
@Steppenwolfs Hey, even calling him American would be more precise than calling him Serbian. Even tho America doesn't create smart people, it imports them. 🤣
That's great, congrats!
How long can it run at full tilt?
(Not a "Cindarella" run)
This car drives at light speed, but generates for the viewers as much emotion as a washing machine would.
Bring back the V8s and V10s of yore.

Rimac 👌👌👌
Hopefully someday could ride the Nevera on Mandalika circuit - Lombok (Lombok's MOTO GP circuit)
I really want one 🤩
“Pretty competitive” bro didn’t even know what the previous record WAS😂
No.1🎉🎉🎉
OP
Nio ep9 did a 44sec this did 49sec. Not sure if ep9 is a production vehicle though probably had some no production parts on it.
❤
where was Mate ?
Test the Nevera at Pikes Peak!
Congrats 👏👏 Leave some records for others 🤣
I like how RImac is always including other brand in their videos. Ferrari, BMW,... 😁
Great job Rimac!!!
But I am off form the standard people so let me ask you something: do you compare your "RECORDS" with the price?
If I have to make a comparison with other EV SUPERCARS I have to start from TESLA PLAID, an it costa les than 1/10th of your car, but it doesn't run 10 times slower than your
A dacia is 10 times cheaper than a lambo, lambo does 0-100 in 3 secs, dacia does it in 13. So you mean a dacia is a better car?
Driven by, none other than, Ricardo Hammondo!?!
Its mind boggling that the McMurtry Spéirling is TEN SECONDS faster

Yep that’s what I try to spam
Slicks, 1000kg weight and over 2000kg of downforce at all time but illegal everywhere
Yeah something was off in GW this year perhaps due to Jaag wheel flying to the crowd. As last year track times was 39-43s average. So 49s sounds weird to call it record.

Definitely wasn’t Richard Hammond driving 😂
It's delightful to see the potential of electric motors, high RPM, consistent torque and produces the same power while being far lighter than combustion engines... There's no doubt, Nevera is the fastest electric vehicle right now, with unparalleled power and acceleration.
That's only because you don't really know enough about how motors or engines work. Motors do not make Horsepower, they only make torque, regardless of rpm. It's like an engine that cannot accelerate, and can only ever produce 1 iteration of force.
Imagine stepping on the gas and never making any more power than what the engine is capable of at idle. That's called torque. Horsepower is multiple iterations of torque, in the same amount of time. It's impossible in a motor. It can only produce 1 amount of torque per unit time, regardless of rpm. You can't use more electricity because the motor is spinning faster. The power doesn't change. People who think electric motors should be fast are totally sleeping on diesels. It's a joke.
The reason the term horsepower is not simply called torque, or just an aggregate, like 800 lb ft, is because as rpm increases, the distance increases, averaging out the torque. So an engine that makes 100 lb ft, can never make 800 lb ft, but it can make 800 lb/8 ft. Instead of saying 800lb per 8 ft, they use a Horsepower number. It's not really related to horses, but electric motors can not do that.
So if the number 800lb/8ft is the same as 100lb/ft, then isn't that like an electric motor making 100lb/ft of torque? No, because those 800lb/8ft all happened in the same amount of time as the 100lb/ft. As the engine accelerates, it can create more torque. So given the same amount of peak torque produced, and engine is capable of producing far more power.
The reason it's able to do this is called mechanical advantage and it is because of the transmission and the gears output ratios. If you can put more force down in a smaller distance, you can accelerate quicker. Electric motors can't take advantage of gear ratios because the force is constant, and irrespective of rpm. Basically, distance isn't a factor. What seems like a disadvantage, 800lb/8ft compared to 800lb/ft, actually ends up being and advantage because you can leverage distance in your favor.
Electric cars are supposed to be economy cars, left of diesel, not high performance, and certainly not highest performance.
Not only that, but even the batteries are fake. When a battery uses its charge, it's power decreases. A 50% charge has 50% power. But Li-Ion batteries don't lose their power when they use their charge. It's like an air tank being filled with 80 psi and that pressure not reducing as you use it. It's totally bogus. Just like the idea that you could put 100kw of electricity in a battery from home, and get more power out of it than the 110v supply you filled it up with. You can't fill up a battery to a greater amount of power than it's supply. The most you'll ever get is 110v or whatever. It's like filling a water reservoir from the bottom up. You can only ever fill to the maximum pressure the pump produces, otherwise gravity will stall the pump.
At least Hamster wasn’t driving it this time 🤪🤣🤣
Well done! But only 1.7 seconds faster than the Caterham 620R which is a fraction of the price 😉
and 1000x more fun to watch hearing the engine hitting the limiter and banging through the sequential box.
Tesla failure to deliver on Roadster 2.0 has been great news for Rimac absolutely. Same with Cybertruck delays for both Rivian *"gear tunnel"* Full Size truck and Ford "Lightning doesn't look like Cybertruck "Dumpster" as design motif. Definitely setting up for big time price wars in this massive market segment of every type pure BEV, Hybrid and ICE to include SUVs as well now given how dominant the Tesla Model Y is for vehicles sold in North America beat out now only be the Toyota Rav4 which looks set to be dethroned in a huge way both in the USA and globally and with *AUTHORITY.*
I want to see what the Nevera can do on the Nürburgring!
7:05 lap time
After knowing what happened to the first Rimac on a hillclimb in Sweden, I was waiting for this one to go down the side of a hill too.

Dont let Richard Hammond anywhere near it !!
i wonder why NIO EP9, with 600HP less than nevera, could do 8 seconds faster and didnt got the title of fastest production car on this track
Not a production car

Congratulations but we all know that the real one to beat is the Nurburgring.
Jesus the Speirling is 10 seconds faster than this LoL
That's not production car and fan car is a separate category
@@UrCheckMate its still 10 seconds faster
You can't compare a vacuum car against any other. They generate huge downforce in corners regardless of the speed. It's like driving on rails in an amusement park.
It did a 49.3 with a 3.5 second 0-100 km/h, so the start was very slow.
0-100KM/h was 1.7 seconds not 3.5
@@kelvinkeme9397 No, look at the video, 0-100 was 3.5 sec. It can do 1.7, but it didn't here, that's the point. Just the bad start made it lose 2 seconds almost on the run.

Hill climb in a Rimac... and ptsd for Hammond
On one hand, it is not a serious record, most manufacturers are just running there for fun, not to chase records.
On the other hand, this is the worst track for a car like Rimac. Narrow, twisty and slow. A big heavy, but very fast car would feel much better on a wider and faster track. Being fast even here shows its potentialz
It is all acceleration based and a lot of corner cutting.
Ah I get the post.. it’s not a new record, but it’s a new record for Remac them selfs.
Its 10sec slower then the real record.
It's super quick. However, it's pretty misleading as McMurtry was 10 seconds quicker. That's in another league compared to Rimac!
The McCurtry hit 39 sec last year. 49 wasn’t even the fastest if 2023 Whack was the McLaren solus I believe. Or did I misinterpret the nature of the post …?
