    Thanks man, I just used this trick for the worn out screw hole on my screen door strike plate. I have small kids who are understandably rough on it and it had stopped latching securely. After your video, I used what I had on hand, the bkttom ends of incense sticks and wood glue, with success.

      @@HowYouCanDoItToo It really made my day to handle something that I wasn't sure I could do on my own. I know I'm a capable person and this was rather easy but I lack a role model to call for assistance. My dad was amazing but he passed when I was 12. Now im a 40 yr old single mom and I don't know who to call. I have learned that not having a protective father figure put me at the mercy of less than honorable men and asking for help can put me in a vulnerable position. Not only did your video empower me to take charge, your kind voice was a comfort. So, again, thank you Tony.

    The screw hole that holds the strap of my electric guitar eventually got big for some unknown reason (maybe because of the guitar's weight or something). I'm gonna try this method later. Thank you so much!!!!
    Update: It worked😃!!!! Thank youuu

    Thanks! Didn't have skewers or toothpicks, so I used the butt end of wooden matches (not the strike end!) and it worked great!

    I have cabinet knobs which are too loose for the antique holes left by the previous ones. This trick worked great! I didn’t use glue tho.

      Awesome!!! You will be more fine. If for some reason they loosen up again you can always add glue then. Just don’t get any on your nice antique cabinets. Thank you for letting me know it makes me happy when my videos help people. Take care...Tony

    Hey, does the glue risk not being able to get the screw out at a future point?

    • @HowYouCanDoItToo
      @HowYouCanDoItToo  2 года назад +1

      Hello, actually the screws come out pretty easily and leaves the threads.

  • @johnwagner4559

    I hope the screw comes out if you need it to. That caulk or glue may lock it in.

    • @HowYouCanDoItToo
      @HowYouCanDoItToo  4 года назад +2

      No, Caulk is pretty pliable and Elmers glue doesn’t glue metal very well. It will leave the screw groove in the whole. But the two will help the plug along with pressure stick to the inner hole.
