    Just shot my new 3.8" Elite 10mm yesterday. If anyone complains about the grip safety, which I never even felt, they probably don't like sex, with woman, either. This is my first time in the 10MM market and it's going to be an acquired taste with this spicy round. The first few shot my testicles ran away for a bit but when they returned I was shooting much better. Seems the testicles and flinch reflex are connected...... But I'm good now and can't wait to reload some more and get back after this round.

    I just recently got an XDM elite 10mm 3.8” barrel. I haven’t got to shoot it yet but man this gun feels good in my hand. UPDATE: I’ve run about 120 rounds or so through it. No failures of any kind. This is a fun gun to shoot.

    I carry the 3.8 inch version of this every day as my EDC. It handles the 10 mil cartridge very well, I can shoot it accurately and fast and you have like you said a size to power to capacity ratio that you really can’t beat. You’re carrying more rounds than a revolver, you can’t really conceal carry a desert eagle, so you’re basically getting the most powerful cartridge that you can really conceal and carry every day at your fingertips. I absolutely love this platform, I think it’s awesome. Vastly underrated I was carrying a Glock 29 before, and this gun is much better than that is, not to mention much more options and a better trigger out of the box.

    I have the same exact setup with the tlr1 hl and talon grip. I recently acquired a kenai chest holster for it👌
    Super underrated firearm imo

    My favorite 10mm handgun. Thanks for the review and I look forward to your future reviews on it.

    You got the best 10mm striker fired out of the box handgun. I could give you a lot of reasons but i'll just state the most important one and thats chamber support. Glock and FN do not have chamber support. So you made a great choice.

    • @ExplorersWorkbench
      @ExplorersWorkbench  6 месяцев назад

      Awesome! Could you explain Chambers’s support?

    • @embryedwards4821
      @embryedwards4821 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@ExplorersWorkbench well Sir, proper chamber support is when the brass on the bullet is fully covered when sitting in the barrel. Some guns leave a tiny bit of the brass showing where the bullet rides up into the feed ramp of the barrel. This presents a weak spot where the pressure of the bullet can escape instead of escaping out the end of the barrel. The pressure comes out at the grip of the gun on your hand and sometimes your face is hit with debris from the blow up. This is most common with P and P+ bullets, and reloaded bullets. But it has and can happen with any bullet. How common is this occurrence? When it is mentioned in in the comment section for these kind of videos somebody almost always speaks up about a blow up they have had or their buddy had one. Glock guns were invented for war and reliability to have no failure to feed bullets was increased with a little tolerance in the barrel for the bullet to get into the barrel every time. This also allows the bullet to move a little bit in the barrel. You can grab the bullet while it sits in the barrel and move it from side to side with your fingers more than a barrel with a fully supported barrel. Because glock had huge success with no failure to feed guns many other companies copied the gock platform. With ammo companies increasing the amount of powder in bulletes, P or P+P, and people doing it on their owne with reloads, problems emerged with high pressure rounds. I've read that Smith and Wesson has full chambered barrels but has failure to feed with 10mm. Not everybody has issues and some have learned to fix it with stronger springs etc. Sig Sauer has other issues with guns going off when dropped. Glock, FN, Canik and many others do not have chamber support. That leaves only one striker fired pistol that I know of that has chamber support and does not have failure to feed. Springfield has really done their homework to create a safe and reliable gun. Look up "Glocks blowing up", "glock smile" " glock bulge" "chamber support" etc. It is a dangerous situation but for some reason everybody gives glock a free ticket on this. I am a huge ameteur on this and just got into pistols two years ago but have done a lot of internet research. After my research Springfield XDME was the only choice for striker fired bear protection pictol. There is an abundance of videos on this subject so do your research. People that are new to pistols need to know. Maybe another video for you?

      Glock 20 gen 4 and back are extremely safe and reliable. The 40mos is a tremendous bear gun. As far as the chamber just use good ammo not reloads and you'd be fine with any glock. Or buy a xdm elite, like I did. 👍

      @@JAnder-kw8yw well actually hot ammo like Buffalo Bore and Underwood in hard cast ammo at 220 grains and above is dangerous in nonchamber supported guns.

    The xdm 10mm is my Montana woods carry. Tac light and chest holster. The underwood 200gr is the way the go. 220 is quite a bit snappier and I don’t know if the specs are that much more impressive. That buffalo bore ammo is super expensive and the specs aren’t even close to underwood’s. I’ve shot everything with my xdm and the buffalo bore was disappointing to me. I actually ended up using a brand called Blazer 180gr. for range ammo. It’s clean and pretty accurate. Unfortunately underwood range ammo is impossible to get.
