Optic cut or post-purchase?
Optic cut
why do you have a front sight but not a rear sight ?
I have one but I’m disappointed in the case. It’s not the best. One latch broke and the lock won’t lock properly I have to do it so many times and apply pressure
huh no issues with mine. love it

Hiw can i buy this ?!
whats the barrel length?
@@DucomaVet 10.3
9mm or .357 mag is my preference for extra penetration. 10mm is a solid choice
Nice!
The 180g is more powerful
@@dude_mccallaster no
@@ExplorersWorkbench It is though man lol. You can look up all kinds of chronograph testing but even the advertised numbers on the 220 is 703 foot pounds and the 180 is 728. Not a whole lot more powerful but more powerful none the less. Weight doesn’t equal power.
@@dude_mccallaster ya but the 180 are hollow points. Not what the doctor ordered for bear.
@@ExplorersWorkbenchI agree 100% but that’s not the point that was made. I’m not trying to nit pick and I apologize if it seems that way but you told me I was wrong when I pointed out that the 180g was more powerful. Nothing about hollow point, hard cast or bears was ever brought up in that statement. The 180g hollow point is more powerful than the 220g hard cast for a fact and that’s all I was getting at.

Would this be good for car racing or loud cars?
@@NANDO3IS I think so. Not sure if the noise canceling would cut that frequency. But you could turn that off and they block everything
Slick setup! I really would love a 10mm Ronin or Colt Delta but for my first 10mm, since it will be a hiking/hunting sidearm I probably will go striker. I figured - if I have to use it, I'm probably not having a good time and the extra capacity will be a godsend 😄
@@whiskeyactual. ya it’s hard to beat a 1911 trigger, but this xdm is nice. Good capacity, good trigger, grip safety, pic rail for a light, and quite a bit lighter than a 1911.
Great video. I'm curious about the Doubletap 230 grain now. Love the 10mm content.
@@embryedwards4821 I have not heard of that. I will take a look. Thanks!
@@ExplorersWorkbench they also make hard cast bullets and go up to 230 grain.

Chinese-made Holosun on an American DD Mk18=🤢
Thanks for the video! I have their takedown bag, but want to upgrade to something bigger. I think I'll go with the Urban Warfare over this. I like how the mag pouches are on the side of the pistol compartment on that one. This one gets a bit thick when all compartments are occupied.
i will check that out. Thanks for tuning in!
Do you think they could fit under a high cut helmet with the padding removed?
Don’t know anything about high cut helmets. Sorry!
Yummy. Besides the Chinese crap on top.
Its called the CARTER WISE CHOICE 24
Thank you!
I'm really curious. I thought DD changed the gas port size? In all the MK18's being produced after 2017.
Ya they did, which makes it more reliable but more gassy
is this the mk18 pistol?
Great video. Very straightforward. Thank you for giving me the confidence to mess with my trigger and upgrade it. My new trigger came out perfect👍
“Baby” SFX9, no light, no pic rail.
Nice!
Great Review!!!!! HOWEVER comparing the EOTECH & the HOLOSUN...Theres one FACT about it & thats you don't have to worry about changing the battery every other week with the HOLOSUN & it does EXACTLY the same thing as the EOTECH!!!!
Ya no complaints here either
What butt stock are you using? What would I need if I go from a pistol brace to a true SBR butt stock if I follow the correct steps to register this with the ATF? Was looking at the Magpull STR and the LMT DMR. Thanks 😊
I like the B5 sopmod. Very sturdy.
SFX9 pocket carry no optic. I’ve also Got the 10rd. Version in the works gonna go baby SFX too. 😭
Ya the baby sfx9 seems like a great setup
I came across your SFX9 video and enjoyed your content. I was pleasantly surprised to see that you are from Potter County. I am a native myself. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the kind words. I live in south east PA. Most of the year, But our family cabin has been in Potter for the last 25 years. It’s our happy place. Gods country!
Got one in 10mm
How do you like it?
@@ExplorersWorkbench Love it, but t's more snappy than .45acp. I know why colt calls theirs the "rail gun" now.
@@Chris-wn3vr nice!
What holster is that?
amzn.to/3XKnQEt
I am running a Vedder LightTuck® Kydex IWB with a claw wing, wedge, and Ulticlip for a Glock 42. I will be getting one for my P365.
Nice! I’ll check it out
Popped up in my feed. I like Wilson Combat. i have a SFX9 and a SFX9L among others. The X Line is unique. It is not a 1911 a new "Hybrid?" It is not a 2011 either. The SFX9L is my latest, the full size is a different shooting experience. Everyone has their preferences. I got to shoot and handle a EDCX9. For me, i don't like the grips on it. I'm considering a SFT9 and or a single stack Experior. These things are fun to shoot with the SFX9 being a very comfortable carry. Good information.
Ya it's a great pistol. Thanks for tuning in!
Like the overhead view.
Thank you!
What kind of knife is that
All I know is it’s a solingen hunting knife. Got it from my dad when I was a kid over 25 years ago . Wish I knew more..
Love the rug man
Appreciate it
Don't know what gauge you're using but my p365xl was 5lbs out the box
Ya I misspoke I think it’s 6.5 lbs
What barrel length?
10.3
What buffer are you using?
A2
I wish we had a 3d model of this gun with the same texture color like in the video ;-;
Make one!
I've had mine about a week and I absolutely love it!
awesome!
i mean if your reference is 1911, then any true carry gun is not going to compare well......they are all plasitc, they are mostly hard to load fully, they are all top heavy due to almost weightless lower... the grips arent great becuase they are designed to be small, not shoot like a 1911...
very true
about the only video I could find of this holster with a 1911, very informative and thank you for making it
Sure thing!
The wobble is from the law tactical folder or from the brace you have ?
Ya the braces have a little play. You can use electrical tape to tighten the gap, but it’s not really a big deal
Not the folder that’s rock solid
I have the fde version......look up springer precision. They make mag extensions and parts for these.
Nice. What are your favorite accessories they offer?
Short barrel for a recce rifle
16 is pretty standard
Stayed for the chill music, happened to learn cool bushcraft tips along the way. I like your taste, sir
Thanks for tuning in!
Better to tie a small fixed knot instead of melting it so you can easily use the paracord in a survival situation
Thanks for the tip!
No offense, but why in the Hill didn't you get the 257 Weatherby in the Talon??????? The 257 makes the 300-win mag look like a 30-30. No comparison. I have the Talon in 257. Mark 5 Deluxe 257, next one will be 30-378 Weatherby for big bears and moose and bison long distance. Roy Weatherby's rifle was a 257. He killed Elephant Rhino, Hippo, Giraffe etc. etc. Every Animal I've shot dropped like the hand of God touched it. Never #1 step, just hit, flop, dead. The 257 Weatherby is kind of an open secret. You have to own one to understand. I shot a deer at 200 yards hit him dead center between his front legs, he flipped head over heels and lay in a twisted mess. I was dumbfounded, mouth hanging open surprised. I had a 300-win mag, too much recoil and bruised my shoulder shooting the hot stuff. Sold it. A 300-win mag comes straight back at you. Like a 45 acp does. If you've ever shot a 45 acp you know the thump. I much prefer a 30-06 over a 300-win mag. You can do a lot more with a 30-06 as far as loads and bullets too. Your piggy bank ever gets full again, you buy a 257 Weatherby. You'll never own or shoot a better rifle you can go very long, and it will kill about anything that walks Ron Spomer killed the record black bear with his. Still might be the record big black. 300-win mag is mostly hype. Not many use them anymore. They are finicky and after they heat up, they start walking the paper. If you're serious about accuracy and going long. I'd sell that and get a 257. Ask around. Peace.
Haven't heard much about the 257. I prefer a heavier grain for elk. I'm sure the 257 could do fine, but not much room for error with the smaller load. Will look into it though. With this muzzle brake I could shoot it all day if it wasn't so expensive. The recoil isn't bad at all.
@@ExplorersWorkbench Trust me if a 257 Weatherby can kill an elephant or #3000 lb. hippo with one shot I feel pretty sure it'll kill a big ole elk. People shoot Moose and brown bears with them so, maybe just maybe it'll work, I dunno though. The Yaquis shoot Walrus with a 30-30 rifle all the time and they weigh in over 5000 lbs. Don't get caught up in the it's too small game. Fred Bear killed one of the largest brown bears in the record books with a recurve bow and arrow 125 fpe/ In todays world it's all about bigger and bigger and bigger. And a 30-30 will kill anything on earth. Been doing the gun thing from 6-64. Best rifle ever made is the 257 Weatherby. Flattest, hardest, Deadliest rifle out there. Check the bullet drop at 400 yards and do energy. Then borrow one and shoot it. No muzzle brake required. Yes, I'm a fan boy. But I've owned almost every caliber there is. between my sons and my wife we've owned about every caliber made . And we all agree the 257 is the shytes. Or you can be like me and go through about 40 of them ,before you realize the 375 hurts and the 50 Beowulf is to big. Peace.
@@thebigfellar7178 I trust you. Sounds like a great round. How is availability of that round?
@@ExplorersWorkbench You can always get ammo for a Weatherby. Not many people shoot Weatherby rounds. They used to be a Rich man's gun. Still are unless you think 2-3 thousand is not bad. The one I'm getting next is the 30-378 Wby it's a flat shooting S.O.B. and it literally hits like the hand of God. Kept the longest shot record for 40 years in a row. But the gun is 3k and a box of 20 rounds is $100-130 a box. But as in any round you can reload for any of them. the 257 is $49 to 100. If you directly from Wby. They have other brands that are cheaper made by federal etc. I only shoot 100 grainers from Wby. in mine. That's what they are scoped for. From polar bears to deer you're set with a 257. You can even ground hog hunt with them if you want. But they just Poof when hit. A zillion pieces going a hundred directions. You want to go long either of them is 100% ready, willing, and able. You can get the 257 in the Vanguards Weatherby. From $800-to 2k I just bought a Talon from Sportsman Warehouse for $1300 after tax. Being trying to get it for over a year. Everytime it came up next day sold out. Did the same thing this time. Except I didn't wait a day, I bought it as soon as I saw it Available. My suggestion to you is buy the Talon just the stock alone is like $700-800. It's got the twisted barrel ,Brake, cero-coat etc. It's a hell of a deal for that price. I think. Most bang for your money. You can look at them and price different ones 30-378 is on there too. $$$$$$$$$$$ Pricey, but actually cheaper than any FFl. You'll never go wrong with that Talon though. Peace Brother. Holler back you look through them. That Talon will be here this week, can't wait.
@@thebigfellar7178 Heck ya! Enjoy it!
Nice review! I considering this model in the somewhat near future. If I go with it I’m thinking in 257 wby. Or a 7mm wby in the mark 5 Live Wild model. Decisions decisions 🤔
Nice! I’m still very happy with this rifle.
I think the stock on this rifle is much better than what is on the Live wild. Price is pretty close, I found a great deal for 1,200$ on mine. I guess the main decision would be if you want that Mark 5 action, both plenty accurate if you find the right load.
Its inaccurate
