Koreans should not forget their old traditions, the traditions are pure, beautiful, and wonderful is a shame and a pity that Christianity is destroying Korea and Koreans

@heeki Insults or not is the fact that Korea's ancient culture is dying because of this foreign religion, Christianity is like a cancer that starts small and spreads rapidly killing everything that goes against their doctrine ignorant.
It may not sound but this is something serious, because the ancient ca korea traditional identity is being slowly extinguished

Does anyone know who this fascinating performing shaman is?
Maybe she has an own website?
This is such a beautiful shamanic performance and shaman that I recommended this video together with the videos of soyou333 to my fellow students of the UNIVERSITY of OXFORD online course about ritual and religion. I am very grateful for this video!

@AKUMARYU666 That's ironic point seeing as how you're the only one using abusive and insulting language. Your personal issues against Christianity aside, what I wrote are empirical FACTS and part of Korean history. Let me know if you want to talk about Korean culture and/or history. Not really interested in trading namecalling and trading insults. Thanks.

@AKUMARYU666 Actually without Christianity there would be no Korea and Koreans ethnic, cultural, national identity would have been destroyed by the Japanese at the end of the 20th century. Most of the Provisional Government members were Christians. Korean Christians were also at the forefront of every social movement be it labor rights, democracy, gender equality for the last 50-60 years. Most Korean universities, hospitals, and social institutions also have Christians origins.

The Korean ethnic, cultural, and national identity has been existing long before Christianity reached the peninsula. We've had heaps of influence from Confucianism and Buddhism towards the Korea and Joseon dynasties.
It wasn't exactly Christianity that did its part in building up modern infrastructure on our land; although religion did have some part in influencing the population's beliefs, it was mostly the technological advancements that were brought upon by the western nations and the Japanese invasion that built up the basis of modern systems.
Also, ideologies such as democracy were brought forth by the leading superpowers of the time, as it was on any southeast Asian country. America was the first to bring democracy while the Soviet Union and China pushed forward with socialism and communism. Again, religion had almost nothing to do with this matter.

The only Korean university with a foundation of Christianity before the 1950s is Yonsei University. This is the one that you're talking about in your comment. Yonsei University is also linked with the Severance Hospital, which I believe you are referring to in terms of being led by Christians.
So no, Korean institutions are only rarely founded upon Christian values / believers. Most of them were just based off methods brought upon from the United States and other democratic nations.

So to be clear, Christianity as a religion itself does not have all that much to do with keeping the ethnic, cultural, and national identity of any Korean. This also accounts for what's shown on the following video.
Please try not to fabricate/exaggerate details without any factual basis, especially since you seem to have very limited knowledge of Korean history.
