If i would describe it in one word it would be Amazing. The best and best value of your money. Quick shifter up and down, colored TFT and 6 Axis imu, Comparing to my 2017 MT-09 it is a bit mature but still insane and hooligan. The last thing MT09 needed was more torque 😁 I am the most satisfied perosn on earth and completely in love with my MT09 ♥️ ride safe.
@@batman7286 I love my Sp too, however I would say that yamaha really needs to step up they build quality. I've changed from 2019 CBR650R and I was very disappointed with yamaha in regards of their build quality. Simple things like weightless side stand, 0 space for storage (CBR650R can fit tyre repair kit, essential tools, and lock chain!! under the seat cowl), can't even fit tire repair kit which is essential in my opinion and really ugly visible brackets under the seat just makes it feel a little cheap and not very well designed.
Regardless of theses small issues the engine, suspension and electronics are just amazing. You quickly forget all the minor issues as soon as you start riding it.
I'm currently designing a short seat and passenger seat cowl to sort out storage issues, as don't really want to use back pack. I'm also in the process of creating windscreen matching the style of the bike.

@@LEGITLONDON Hallo, I got standard version, Im not racer and roads around my place are not perfect. Therefore standard is ok for me. It can be also adjusted to soft settings and Im really happy how suspension works on bumps. But you know I got only 200Km on it so Im breaking-in engine, therefore I cant judge yet. But what can I say, quickshifter is smooth, bike is very comfortable, Im 187cm and not even small problem with ergonomy, bike fits like good suit. Also it is very agile. Overall Im very satisfied, only really small thing I noticed is rougher (not bigger) vibrations around 5-6000 than my 600 4 cylinder had, but thats nothing unusuall, Im speaking about barely recognizable vibrations. Its my first three cylinder and even I had no chance to pull it full throttle yet, I can say it behaves like angry dog. On sport throttle settings it barks ant howls really strong. Sound even with original muffler is angry and loud enough. It even fires to muffler sometimes. On other side if you set less agresive throttle response, bike is very friendly and behaves almost like beginers bike. Overall it gives you chance to prepare for its full power slowly and safely if you have patience. True Jeckyll and Hide...
I put the carbon akroprovic exhaust on mine and it sounds like a completely different bike. Absolutely amazing

Unfortunately this badass black colour didn't come to my country. We only got gray and blue. That's the only gripe i got for my new MT-09 😉

I'd buy it if they change a few things... the cables hanging out the headlight, maybe a bigger headlight? also, the reg/rectifier exposed is horrible. And a few other things... Nice review buddy. see you at the next service!
It hurts me that the day I was gonna order this bike the guy said the price rose by $11k TT dollars. Now they're asking the equivalent to $14,500 US dollars. The heartbreak I felt.

Not a fan of the headlight, but then again, never been a huge fan of the transformer style of the mt09s, they look a bit tacky imo, but that's just my opinion, they are obviously quite popular, unfortunately especially amongst thieves.

If you're 6'4" and go on the motorway on a motorcycle with little wind protection while wearing a peaked helmet, you're gonna have a bad time 😁
Yamaha’s biggest failure is it’s failure to get this bike supplied to its customers. I had to buy a Trident because no dealers had this bike. And guess what- they still don’t have any. Epic fail.

A shoddily executed, unfinished bike, widely hated even by Yamaha fans... Never seen so many dislikes on any Yamaha unveiling video, not even the Niken got as much flak. Just look at the footbrake, horn, wiring, lambda sensor placement, dash, rectifier, bar mounted reservoir, etc. Oh, and that butt ugly headlight!
and yet, every single person that rode one, absolutely recommended to buy this bike since it´s such a hoot to ride.

@@LEGITLONDON I have the 2019 MT-09 and I couldn't be happier with it as a daily commuter and track bike. The 2021 offers about the same experience with less of a character, with lower quality parts and a clearly worse design... Oh, and at a higher price.
