When it comes down to it, they’re both Aussie icons
yep both iconic for different reasons.
-AU Falcon: Without AUs, Australia stops
-VT Commodore: road line painting services est 1997
@@tmmtmm hahaha
Bubba made this series, good for a laugh! Bring them back for sure 👌
Brodie One thanx mate I hope so too
@@bubbafromeasternats Bubba what did u do with the vt after this was over
I love that you're not going to get rid of them and instead use them for more episodes in the future. Love that AU btw!!
+
"did we go over the 2 grand?"
mate you spent about 37 grand on that bloody commodore.
Yeah... I mean, it's good viewing and all that but it's a 2k challenge not a "use all the gear in your garage and take advantage of as much sponsorship as you can" challenge.
Bubba spend the $2k on bundy and food.
Had to get sponsorship just to stop it being stock 😂
2250$ for ford mods and then a new FREE clutch plus 1000$ free tune* free intercooler piping and ecu lol come off it mate the falcon got way more spent on it.
😂😂 yes let’s just chuck a 30k commy in the 2k challenge to keep the Holden lads happy and erect shall we
That commy is nowhere near 30k nowhere near 15k even or 10 lol😂😂
"They all look the same...SHIT!" HAHA 🤣
You blokes are a riot!
No offence Scotty as I do love this series, but it's not really a 2k challenge if your receiving free parts
If you guys ever cruise through Wollongong you's are welcome to stop in for a BBQ for the whole team. Plenty of tools engine hoists etc for repairs and ill put on half a doz slabs and scotch fillet if ya need a stop over. Luv ya stuff. Keep keeping it fun and on a budget. You guys remind me of how it used to be, couple of mates in a garage making it boogie n baggin the tyres up. P.S. got my turbo barra on the stand now. Hoping for 450 to 500 at wheels.
This was great. I hope Bubba comes back in future episodes, he's good value like a lot of his deals on parts haha.
I hope people dont get too serious about things like sticking to the budget because it feels like they are really missing the point. Its just a bit of fun, enjoy it.
Mat Gee thanks mate :)
very much enjoyed this series, learned new things(barra ecu on the AU engine etc) learned what breaks and comes loose when you put more power into standard cars..
and gives a good example of when you mod one thing, you need to make changes elsewhere to benefit fully (cam = diff change, power = better clutch etc etc)
great seeing Bubba on the show, it's almost like a classic top gear challenge.. better even..
+
the real winners are those who own an AU
😂😂😂😂😂yeah ok 🤣
Well he’s got a point. Au owners now know they can turbo there car on the cheap with ba falcon ecu’s, I think his point is valid
Lol
@@crownsintent6640 Yep, this has definitely got the cogs turning in my head lol. Got an old fucked Au xr6 manual sitting outside right now. Just starting to turn it into togue style racer so haven't been thinking too much about performance as I want to get the chassis, wheels, driver position and suspension dialed in first. But fuck me, knowing that kind of power is that easily attainable... Might just shift my priorities a little XD
I’ve gotta get me one of those free clutches. Goes alright for nothing.
Bubba and Kane made this series so much better, two very loose units not afraid to send it. Scotty and Kian were great too, cheers to the next one!
thanx mate it was good fun . and nothing better the just being us (lose dick heads) lol
@@bubbafromeasternats Loose units...youse r winners!
Haha, every project always goes over budget!
*Just never tell the wife*
Truth. I think the bosses are starting to cotton on as well.
Just tell them this channel made me a street machine reader its money well spent.
Or well its money spent.
Better to ask for forgiveness than permission...
Loved watching every second! Really enjoy Bubba's humour. Hope to see the two cars back at the track in future episodes
Gil Levy thanx mate
I've enjoyed watching this series from the start to the Finish. Will definitely be looking forward to what you guys come up with next for these vehicles
Great job boys!! And a big thanks to Bubba for taking it home for the win!!!!
DJ Shaun Reed all good my man lol
Well done be good to see them again around a dry track cheers
Love this series. Was hanging out every week for next episode. Good work guys and very fun to watch. HOLDEN! ;)
Awesome series!! Enjoyed the humour and fun you all had making it. I love holdens so i am happy they won but also glad that you all had fun in the end. Can't wait for future episodes
You Aussies all hating on these old style Commodores and Falcons, while we overseas think they're one the raddest things on earth XD
Haha the big boats going round the track was funny & lol at Bubba's hand signals 👌
Was the best builds and just the best to watch really fun series didn’t want it to end glad that you guys are continuing the builds!!!
Actually really like the sound of the vt! Awesome series guys, been a blast from the beginning. Cant wait to see whats next :)
A great series, and heaps of fun to watch, you guys obviously had laughs putting it together. Love how you got that distinctive......ummmm…..commercial 4cyl...….ummm……..tractor...….hmmm…..sound, from the AU. Looking forward to more vids.
The next challenge should be who can get across Australia on the least amount of fuel. You will have to specify though that you can't have a mates Tilt tray company sponsor you.
i like it :)
Well done scotty and co, that's it it's all about the fun and you sir have found a way to never have a bad day at work.
So, by Bubba's logic of "you guys know I'm building another 308" - Scotty could have pulled the engine and box out of the Taxi, dropped it in the AU (after a quick sump and pickup change) and pumped another 2k into that combo.
Smashed that thumbs up before I even started watching!!!! Love the Ford!!
Great episode guys, really enjoyed it. Had to go and watch a heap of hill climb vids from Bryant Park afterwards.
Nice to see these old ladies getting a good thrash'n! Nice to see they didn't end up being stripped out for parts.
Bubba is a ripper good character! He'd be grouse to have a beer with!
Keep it up. thanks guys!
KourniKovac cheers brother
Awesome series! Loved watching every moment of it, keep it up!
Well done guys - this series has been awesome!!!
LOL @ Bubba trying to push the loud peddle through the firewall.
these 2 cars for me has always been the most iconic pin up ford v holden vehicle rivalry. VT vs AU.
I've owned a manual AU XR8 now own a manual 5l VT SS, I love both.
Excellent episode, looks like everyone had a good time. Keep em coming
@0.37- hahahaha... 😅😅😅 At least your owning it now Scotty. You are a shocker!!!
Bubba leaving bigger skids on the track than Scotties jocks hahaha
Love this series! Been waiting for this video for agrs
Ethan Hubbard bloody oath
VT was a screamer. Nice work guy's
This was a great ep! Mates having fun out on the track :)
Way way better than setting up the workshop! Top video good watching
That was Carnage Plus, and workshop setup is important too, but I put the ceiling hatch in yesterday and didn't film it because people don't want to see it
Good viewing content hope it continues ! Thankyou guys
@@STREETMACHINETV I think all the things you do are entertaining. Cant say I have been bored with an episode yet. Love the Carnage episodes, keep them coming every Friday.
Ha to right i put up 20 ceiling hatches today, so rather watch this challenge than that LOL
16:41 the "know your going to loose option".. Just kidding mate.. As usual top quality..
Great day by all . Sure had some fun. No drinking either , impressive. Ive got 3 mighty au . So im one eyed. All the best for the future
we need to see these 2 back on here and add another 3gs to the budget
"Who calls their kid Chachi anyway" XD
Much closer to a 3k challenge on the Ford.....the Commodore dont even get me started. It's not real world spending one can expect to come across every day.
here come the sooks with the excuses bah aha ha!
@@ianvader4697 There's no need to abuse him for an opinion.
@@ianvader4697 Hold up, Freddy's actually right. The Falcon is more realistic to the budget, the commodore pulled in favors that would cost anybody looking to replicate the setup like double the cost of the Falcon and it's entire setup lol
No doubt its 2.5k vs 6-7k challenge but yes you could build an engine over 15 years on a really small budget it's just a really long time 😂
ian vader how the fuck can u sit there and call a man who is stating the complete obvious a whinger?? Mate if that commodore really was a 2grand banger... every bogan and his mum would be getting around in one just like it... that commo has had at least 20k dropped on it easy
The ford boys should of stuck to a auto there manual driving is below average but great to watch anyway
Should swap the drivers over for the holden and ford cars see how much difference it makes
Luke Daniels the ford boys need to learn how to drive a manual. Painful to watch!!!
if you are referring to the slow shift times, that t5z is on borrowed time at that power level, fast shifting is a quick way to explode them
More the hole package take off cornering and gear changing but it was great to watch great challenge if they picked a better day and one pro driver to driver both cars then I would say that's far .
@@nz_seafood_safari it's live axle in the wet on shit tyres. It was never going to hook. Launching manual cars is hard enough. But yeah in the dry it would have been much closer.
Mate, they didn't have any balls. Too afraid of loosing it. Should have stuck old mate from the commo in it.
Great episode. Really enjoyed seeing what the AU and VT can do!
Such an entertaining series fellas! Cheers for the laughs
And that's why mechanics work in the pits & teams employ professional drivers.
Loved the camera work here lads, never heard of that track but looks awesome. Can't wait for the next one :)
That was a lovely pirouette at the end 😂
looks like kane and bubba at the end drifting it up, the only 2 that can drive lol
Fulk it was sooooo much fun
Awesome guys. You all look like you had fun, but BUBBA you da man!!!!
Jo Sh thanx brother
That was awesome, I could see the commodore was always in the powerband and putting the power down way better, that falcon needs lowering and an antilag system
Definitely needs lowering and a dry track
Great mini series guys classic 👍 totally enjoyed watching it my only gripe is, I was not there to drive one 🍺🍺 bubba's comment about spending the budget on food and alcohol was tops 🤣
Jaz THA DON lol hahahahaha:)
That number plate tho D-EATA hahaha
Good job guys! Another great vid!
G'day from West Australia, it's all about the fun factor.
That's it nothing else is relevant. 😉🙂👍👍
Nice job guys, really enjoyed the build.
Loved the series need to keep seeing the au and vt love them
Do another 2k challenge!! This is mint.
Well done boys!! Love the budget build, and yea of course a budget's not an exact budget - mates favors are always involved. To anyone watching don't ever pay full price for everything, you'll always know someone that can help out. ... Time put down my beer (Let's be honest, pick up another one) and head to the garage and the XR8 :)
To be fair, I reckon it would be fitting to do another one but with a auto Falcon and manual Commodore.
& a turbo commodore, v8 falcon then holden will win easy
From now on, I want all drag races at Heathcote and Calder to start with 1, 2, 3.... Go!
More like, 1.......23go. Seriously how hard is it to just count in a predictable way.
That AU looked like a handful under boost 😁 would have been fun.
Cheers boys, more Bubba guest appearances please. Funny c#$t!
TawhangaBramley thank u mate
Fridays should be renamed, "F**k yeah it's CARNAGE day!" Always makes the best start to the weekend. 😎♥️👍
As for me, after a false start last weekend (note to self, check website instead of relying on staff member that WORKS THERE!! 😂🤣) and then stabbing myself off camera cutting a ziptie for some tools I bought (safety theme achieved 🤦) I'll be at Benaraby tonight to show the local flavours. 👍
P.S. Now have parts and a burnt wallet, let the build filming begin. 😈
Yeah, we're going try and have something every Friday morning from now on. Whether it's Carnage or Carnage Plus
@@STREETMACHINETV Yeah, seems to work better overall. Too many upload on Thursday, my sub box gets overloaded so it seperates you from the rest. When things get more regular for me I'll work out a schedule for the build...trying for one a fortnight on Saturday or Sunday but this episode will be delayed a week because of waiting for parts.
@@MafiaboysWorld Thursday used to be "the day" according to youtube but I don't think that's the case any more.
@@STREETMACHINETV For the weekly ones like MCM it's still the same but we are all going differently now. Fullboost usually go on Tuesday, you usually go on Friday. I think Saturday or Sunday makes sense personally too as my week is usually filled with family life too. 👍 Loving the episode. That F'n T5 gearbox....what a pain in the ass. 🙃
I have been loving this series. Hopefully you can do something like this again. I've never clicked so fast.
it was a lot of fun
@@bubbafromeasternats It was indeed Bubba. I don't have a lot of mechanical car knowledge but the nostalgia of the AU and VT and watching the process was a lot of fun. Love the Xr6/Xr8.
Go back to the track when dry and with more suitable tyres
good fun series top work fellas
Enjoyed the series boys!!
Loved the odd go karting shoes, what a good mate 👍
Awesome series Scotty really enjoying it and please keep it going. How about top speed challenge or a rolling start challenge or a power cruise run or a burnout challenge or more budget on suspension or a dyno challenge where the winner is the one who makes the most over stock? Just a few suggestions to keep the series going.
This was awesome! Good ford! 🕺
Yep, that was a great weekend, was out on the Bike through it all...
yep next is the best drift action and timing, lol :) great stuff so averaging holen time was around 48 seconds and ford was around the 52 seconds mark, but wet roads as well, well done guys. :)
God damn that VT sounds good when bubba’s in it
mate all shirt a side you cant beat the sound of a holden
And the old 308
BUBBA medlyn a side piped 6 cylinder was never going to win in the sound department let’s be honest haha but you also kill it with the savage driving style aswel, great entertainment
Bubba definitely has a No Fucks Given driving style
We need to see more of Bubba in upcoming episodes. He reminds me of the evil twin of Gus lol
Thanx mate i hope so too i enjoy it :)
You added the comic relief we needed.
justin williams thanx brother
Awsome episode as always gents. Enjoyed the content thoroughly.
I’m a bit late but this series is amazing
Yeah we need to do it again
Glad your keeping them 👍
I was never a hater, I merely questioned the moral integrity of the deal. But it was explained at the time that it was all above board, so we are all good on this end, Ive even subscribed to the channel.
Dodgy Brothers Engineering and I’m thank full for that but there where some emails also about the same thing. How are you any way hope all is well
@@bubbafromeasternats Going well on this end thanks, really enjoying the Volvo build. Actually that's not 100% true, my cancer is back... but other than that little thing, things are going fantastic.
Top job guys!
Wet weather, cars that handle like boats and a bit of hp.
Funest way to spend a day.
Did bubba think he was at powercruise? 😂
I’m impressed the commy didn’t spin out with the locker tbh.
This has been a lot of fun to watch. I reckon bubba will miss that vt.
Never late in a 308
But its a 304? What can you do with that,
Swear to god i love you's both! Seriously, make more challages together!!!!!!! Turbo taxi vs BABA's V8's!
Great thing to watch after school
the whole idea is fun!!!
I love the 2k challenge
Yeah, the Au's LSD and suspension also needs changes that would ensure drifting is it's forte. Maybe modify the most controversial AU of the lot the AU Forte. The Ultimate Taxi Driver's Delight.
Great stuff
Love this $5000 challenge
what an awesome challenge loved it, the vt won today's challenge easy.... the au needs a better boost controller to me it looked like the boost was kicking in to hard to fast just wanted to rip n spin that spool sounded mint tho. good stuff boys looking forward to the next challenge !!!! ((( VZ SV6 LY7 VS BA/BF XR6 ))) they are a good match up
Yeah, it's all or nothing at the moment
High beams on lol 💯
How about lowering the Ford's rear just for starters? Higher centre of gravity = no contest.
Bubba 2019- with all the entertainment, ahh...... Of building the car
LOL!!!!
thanx my man i had a heap of fun
Ripper episode guys!
What do we want, volvo! When do we want it? Now!
