Stevie Nick's is amazing 👏
The "Drowning in the sea of love where everyone would love to drown" really gets to me.
Beautiful song.
Me too and that’s some deep loving.
Hay gente que le gusta ahogarse mientras tenga pasta la pena se pasa mejor 👍🏻
No creo que sea Sara que canta Stivie Nicks.
Absolutely! Today it is speaking to me in a way it never has before. Amazing artistry.
how about that opening line " wait a minute baby , stay with me a while ..." nobody's skipping this track 😀
Ive had this song on repeat for 2 days now because of that line. Its been stuck in my head
It’s so passionate but scary at the same time I love music
Named after this song.❤
The lyric “said you’d give me light, but you never told me about the fire” is simply the best lyric I’ve ever heard. Completely captures the essence of the entire song in one line. Brilliant.
I'm still waiting for the person to whom I will dedicate that lyric
Love Stevie. One of the greatest song writers of all time.
Beautiful 👌
That is beautiful I share this song with a high school sweetheart. Who to be honest with you I still love. We were 16 and we decided to abort as we were to young and crazy. I'm now 42 and last yr we reconnected and when we spoke we listened to this song for weeks. I don't know I you know but this song is very close to stevie as it's about abortion.
Henley must have banged her good.
My name is Sara . I am a firm spiritual believer, My father passed away in his sleep without me getting to say goodbye on May 5, 2023 . My Alexa was playing Fleetwood Mac 20 mins before going to identify my father's body ( couldn't afford a viewing or funeral ) And this song came on 🙏 Thank you Stevie for creating this An for anyone taking the time to read my comment .
Simple music can make you sing, a simple hug can make you feel, better, simple things can make you happy, I hope my simple hello will put a smile on your face..
Hello!!! How are you doing today, please
pardon me for intruding into your privacy but I
just wanted to know if you're a fan ? Have a
great day.. Stay Safe
I am crying 😭
May your father's soul rest in peace. I'm so glad this spiritual musical masterpiece was there to help sooth your soul in your time of need.
So sorry for your loss Sara. My mum passed away in her sleep aged 52 and I never got to say goodbye either. Every time she came home from the pub she would blast Stevie. So whenever I hear her I really feel my mum with me smiling as I am tapping my feet. Memories is all we have now is it. Music is the most powerful artform by far. One note can transport you to a moment in your life so fast.. 🙏

I Grew Up, With Fleetwood Mac 🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊
Lindsay Buckingham is a most underrated guitarist. Such a unique sound. The melodies he came up with, amazing....
Absolutely. It’s overlooked somehow back in this time, absolute monster. Just a very tasteful and excellently skilled musician. Took 3 guitarists to replace him in FM’s current lineup. That speaks volumes. Hybrid flamenco type finger picking is just wild.
@@demon_3x yes that's exactly what gives him that sound. His picking style. He also came up with the most at beautiful melodies with it. The way it comes in at places and just blows you away. Always loved him ❤️
themori3 correct! He is also a tone doctor. Knows exactly how it should sound
@@demon_3x makes sense. A great ear. Just a note or two here and there...♥️😭
themori3 sometimes it isn’t the notes that are played, but the notes that aren’t played ;)
When Stevie and Lindsey joined FM they not only brought in their unique sound, songs and talents, they helped Christine come to the forefront of the band. She wrote or co-wrote half the 16 songs on their 1988 Greatest Hits LP. Rest in peace, Miss Perfect.
Never has a last name been so appropriate. Her maiden last name was Perfect.
she bridged both bands and Bare Trees album was quite good but not accepted by the public t the time
@paul morgan I completely agree! Let's not forget Future Games, Mystery To Me Heroes Are To Find. Swas alsowas brought in as a session musician and singer by the late great Peter Green.
She has written, sang and played on every single Fleetwood Mac album except the 1st one that came out in 1968. She even has musical credits on FM albums during her 16-year hiatus. She was the Queen of Fleetwood Mac.
Christine McVie was an extraordinary member of Fleetwood Mac. They all were! I'll miss her as well , but you don't need lessen any other member just to signal her out due to her passing. Great BAND! Excellent lyrics and music and arrangements! We' ll miss her and it will be a bands decision if they decide to ever push on. Any decision they make should be respected by all. God bless her and her family!!
Bob. .
Christie was a genius writer, piano player and singer!!! Lost a super talent today! I'll be crying forever!!
God bless you for your truthful comment
It’s such a shame, I’m so sad 😞 she’s gone
Yep. Bloody sad...

Devastating loss. Voice of an angel.
RIP Christine McVie, one of the most talented singer songwriters & a genuinely nice lady. Fly high.

Stevie Nick's sang this song. Not Christine McVie.
?? The OP doesn't say that Christine sang this, but she is in the opening shot as she starts the track off with her piano playing that forms the backbone of the melody. The whole group does a good job here. Y @@the1burf
This song is so beautiful and her vocals are like angels singing from heaven - such a lovely expressive voice.
An angel indeed
Apparently it's about a baby she would have had with Glen Fry. But she got rid of it.
I agree 🙂
@@onesunnyday5699wasn't it Don Henley rather than Frey? I know Stevie dated two Eagles at different times but Glen wasn't one of them.

I heartily agree!
heartbroken on hearing this terribly sad news today 30th November 2022, rest in peace Christine McVie 🙏🏼🕯❤
Yes that's so devastating indeed! I looked up to her every day of my 8th grade year, and my heart is just so undoubtedly broken now that I've found out that she passed.

Sometimes Music Touches The Deepest Part Of The Human Soul. 😇
Music for me, is what triggers memories long forgotten. It "teleports" me back to places I've not thought of in a long long time. The nostalgia is a powerful force that can be overwhelming at times. Take care.✌🏻
My deceased father named me after this song and it's all I have left of him. 💕
I'm so sorry for your loss ❤😢... I was named after this song and hall and oates Sarah smile - love my mom but she's outrageous ❤❤she passed it down to us ❤

I am also named after this song … my mom told me this and I can’t tell you how many times I have listened to this song wondering about all the different meanings and what she was feeling as she was listening to this song.
How Beautiful Sara, What A Wonderful Memory ❤️ 💖
Growing up in the 70's and 80's was so amazing, especially for music. Damn, we were so lucky.

yes !!! sadly i was born in 2002 but im in love with music from the past
Yes I was definitely born a decade too late
100%. Best days of my life. What a soundtrack.

One of the greatest songs ever. One and only stevie nicks. A voice that reaches out to all
Really the first time i took interest in fleetwood mac the day i was listenong in my car and they played the long version. The part where she says when you build your house call me. Stuck with me 2022 still here
Yeah the song "reached out" to her DEAD BABY that Don Henley demanded to be "gotten rid of". Henley is just waiting for the kharma of that and other even more egregious acts of barbarism against woman and underage girls that will take him straight to HELL in a few years.....I have a feeling he won't be "Taking It Easy" down there......
Actually not really NO OFFENSE BUT she sounds like a troll when she sings she doesn't hold a candle to Grace Slick.
Sarah jobe
One of the greatest female voice in a generation, nominated into the Hall of Fame twice first with Fleetwood Mac and as single artist. What talent.

There will NEVER be another band to grace this planet such as Fleetwood Mac! They made magic together. Stevie Nicks is the best female vocalist ever!
Pamela sorry. . ...
@Andybetz.99 hey
Ok
One of the greatest groups of all time forever and ever
Fleetwood Mac had the best chemistry as far as harmonies and vocals go. Their sounds were so addictive, at least it was to me. Much love and aloha to Christine.
Agree. IBetter than even the Eagles, which is saying a lot since I think they're 2nd.
Chemistry proven at 2:30.
Also, instrument and vocals between Lindsay and Stevie as well as Christine and Stevie.
This is by far the most magical song ever, ever written.

Rip Christine, the best music and years of our lives
Christine - gifted. Thanks for the music and rest in peace.
Never get tired of this song, and when I chip away at beautifying our own little house, I think of this song often :). Stevie is beautiful in so many ways, with an incredible and highly unique voice, but then I think of Christine, her diverse talent and voice as close to an angel as you will ever hear, and her loss is just too sad. 💔
For sure how many of us would love to drown in the sea of love, what a beautiful metaphors Ft starfire

This is simply a track of pure beauty.
Stevie Nicks voice is truly the "Spirit of Ecstasy" 🧡

Stevie Nicks...when singers had heart, soul and talent, not auto tune. Beautiful woman, beautiful song. ❤️
You should remove your hearing aids if you think the current crop isn’t just as talented. I love Stevie Nicks too, but come on, there’s talent out there. You just got old.
@@LozadaPR ha! I am old. But the "current crop" sings crap and uses auto tune to record. And if they perform half naked nobody notices that they don't have any talent.
@LozadaPR : With the new female singers out there who pretty much use auto tune in there live performances with a few exceptions, Stevie Nicks and her generation were among the best female singers ever. Stevie is only one of two female singers to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame twice. We maybe old, but we know what good music is, and it's not today's autio tuned crap.
@@RafaelSale ok Boomer... you're right, everything back in your day was better stronger and faster. your generation was so great we can only pale in comparison and can only hope to lament the fact that we didn't share in the glory that you were. i can only hope and pray that we are half the adults you are. may God have mercy on our souls.

Amazing song. Everyone overlooks John McVie, plays the perfect bassline. Not the hardest but just perfect everytime.
Her aura is so calming she’s such a beautiful angel in this
Her use of the microphone is an art in itself. The way she tilts her head away and replicates the background vocals (on the recording) during the “undoing the laces” part. She does it again at the end by using Lindsey’s mic to sound like the fade out. Impressive!
It's hauntingly beautiful
Lindsey's mic was either turned down or turned off.
RIP Christine very beautiful talented creative lady ❤
A breathtaking performance and not just Stevie. The sublime nuanced instrumentation. What a band.

Stevie Nicks inspired my whole style to this very day! As a child I thought she looked like a Fairy Queen. So as a teenager, I wore the long flowing dresses, I sewed most of them. I would kill to have her wardrobe... Love it!
Wow this is so cool. She was sure a style icon. There is a video on RUclips when she was very young. Maybe 17. Pure talent and innocence.

Her parents would load-up her Harley Davidson Minibike, & drive to my house. I lived in a very nice Lakeside area. With tons of Open-Space. We would get on our Minibikes early on Saturday morning, & ride them all day long. Home by dark was the ONLY rule! NO HELMETS! NO CELLPHONES, & NO WATER BOTTLES! Lyrics:
Wait a minute baby
Stay with me a while
Said you'd give me light
But you never told me about the fire
Drowning
In the sea of love
Where everyone would love to drown
But now it's gone
It doesn't matter what for
When you build your house
Then call me home
And he was just like
A great dark wing
Within the wings of a storm
I think I had met my match
He was singing
And undoing
And undoing
Ooh, the laces
Undoing the laces
Said Sara
You're the poet in my heart
Never change
Never stop
But now it's gone
It doesn't matter what for
But when you build your house
Oh, then call me home
Hold on
The night is coming
And the starling flew for days
I'd stay at home at night
All the time
I'd go anywhere
Anywhere, anywhere
Ask me and I'm there
Yeah
Ask me and I'm there
'Cause I care
In the sea of love
Where everyone would love to drown
But now it's gone
They say it doesn't matter anymore
If you build your house
Then please, call me home
Sara
You're the poet in my heart
Never change, and don't you ever stop
Now it's gone
No it doesn't matter anymore
When you build your house
I'll come by
There's a heartbeat
And it never really died (Ah)
Never really died (Sara, ah)
Would you swallow all your pride?
Would you swallow all your pride?
All I ever wanted

How are you doing today/
Talk about owning the stage...she ain't even trying, yet no one can take their eyes off her. Greatest rock singer of all time. She could front any band from any time, male or female, and steal the show
I wonder what Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, J-Lo, Beyonce and others like them think when they see Stevie. She totally takes over a stadium crowd fully dressed, with no back up choir, laser lights, stage fog, pyro-techniques, glittery show girl back up dancers etc. Just her, some well written songs, and four other very talented musicians.
@@joeherald7319 absolutely agree with you. Her presence is astounding, all her little face moves and body movements on top of that haunting voice, are so natural and unique.
