I'm so careful with my words and conversations I have with other people. Especially someone I am dating. Words are more powerful than people think and they should be used correctly. Saying you love a person while in an intimate interaction and not meaning it can really mess with someones head.

The irony... Alot of women think that we don't feel emotion as deeply because oftentimes we don't express it as often as they do... In reality, we know the gravity of those words, their significance, and the weight that they carry. Hence, we don't typically say such things unless we truly mean them and know that it is absolutely true without reservation.

That depends on what type of guy you are. I personally have been in love with the same girl since I was 17, I've tried to move on, tried getting to know other girls but it never really stuck or felt good.. I may have forgotten some details of the girl because it happens because I forced myself to move on, but she's always on my mind, because she's the only one I've ever said 'I love you' to. 12 years gone, she's happily married, and as long as she's happy, I'm happy for her.

Had a conversation with a friend who was quite educated about love from his wise grandfather. His grandfather taught him that love isn't the temporary excitement you feel when you're in a relationship, and lots of men and women out there start thinking when that excitement starts fading away, it means they are falling out of love, when that isn't true. It's hard to describe love in a perfect way, but the best way to know that you love someone is (based on what his grandfather said which I agree with) when you can't imagine your life without them if there are ever moments that you feel you're falling out of love, or maybe exploring whether you truly love them or not.

Then I realized, if we never saw each other again, I would not miss him at all. Without any apparent reason I broke up with him and true enough, I did not care. I think love does not necessarily come with time. It is true that you can be sexual and romantic with someone but if you can just cut them off, you don't really love them.

Yeah there's something to this. I was dating my current husband years ago, we did the same as this and decided we didn't want something serious cuz we were both tired of being hurt. We were fwb for about 3-4months before I realized I was falling for this man. So I told him, we gotta commit to the or I'm bouncing to find someone to actually date. It wasn't an ultimatum, it was the truth, I was sick of the fwb games and wanted something real. As soon as he realized I wasn't going to accept that type of relationship he knew he had to risk it and commit to me. I wasn't worth him losing and never seeing me again. 9yrs later and we have built an amazing life together. It's not perfect by any means but it works and we both push each other to be better every day.

My dad's used to be a drunkard. When he's drunk he talked like the world's about to end. My Dad's family doesn't support his marriage with mom. And they talk shit about my mom and dad to everyone they met. But my dad never disowned or said they're wrong. It was also the reason he started drinking alchohol. He never talk bad about his family even when he's drunk but would poured out all his sadness and what he don't dare to said when he's sober. It was all along my mother who stood by my dad's side though it was not easy. Not only my dad and mom but even us were treated differently by my dad's side. My parents advised us not to hate them, they're family. They're happily married 41 yrs now and completely sober. And thanks to God, he's also a Church Deacon which we never expected before.

Instead of looking at the divorce as a failure look at it as he tried he failed and he tried again until he gets it right. He adores his third wife and she is his soulmate. Had a conversation with a friend who was quite educated about love from his wise grandfather. His grandfather taught him that love isn't the temporary excitement you feel when you're in a relationship, and lots of men and women out there start thinking when that excitement starts fading away, it means they are falling out of love, when that isn't true. It's hard to describe love in a perfect way, but the best way to know that you love someone is (based on what his grandfather said which I agree with) when you can't imagine your life without them if there are ever moments that you feel you're falling out of love, or maybe exploring whether you truly love them or not.

In a perfect world, yes, men shouldn't toy with women then call them crazy when they get hurt. It's messed up to act like that, and it should never happen! But, since we live in reality, where all's fair in love and war, we have to arm young women with some wisdom so they don't get deceived and can make good choices for themselves.

Yeah there's something to this. I was dating my current husband years ago, we did the same as this and decided we didn't want something serious cuz we were both tired of being hurt. We were fwb for about 3-4months before I realized I was falling for this man. So I told him, we gotta commit to the or I'm bouncing to find someone to actually date. It wasn't an ultimatum, it was the truth, I was sick of the fwb games and wanted something real. As soon as he realized I wasn't going to accept that type of relationship he knew he had to risk it and commit to me. I wasn't worth him losing and never seeing me again. 9yrs later and we have built an amazing life together. It's not perfect by any means but it works and we both push each other to be better every day.

I wasn’t as lucky as you. I was in a relationship with a guy for 4 years. Then I started to ask him strongly about marriage and he broke up with me. Yeah no. I have only told one person in my life outside of family that I love them. The girls I have been with have wanted me to say it and would cry when I didn’t, but my response is always I really like you, but I will let you know when I love you.

My dad's used to be a drunkard. When he's drunk he talked like the world's about to end. My Dad's family doesn't support his marriage with mom. And they talk shit about my mom and dad to everyone they met. But my dad never disowned or said they're wrong. It was also the reason he started drinking alchohol. He never talk bad about his family even when he's drunk but would poured out all his sadness and what he don't dare to said when he's sober. It was all along my mother who stood by my dad's side though it was not easy. Not only my dad and mom but even us were treated differently by my dad's side. My parents advised us not to hate them, they're family. They're happily married 41 yrs now and completely sober. And thanks to God, he's also a Church Deacon which we never expected before.
