My husband dated me for three months and wanted to get married! I was saying it’s too fast and he said I was it. I married him eight months later after months of him begging. We are on our 19th year of marriage now! Update: celebrating our 21st anniversary in November! Thank you for all the sweet comments and discussion! Make sure to love yourself and open your heart to the possibility of finding the right one!
After about three weeks I told my roommate I would not be surprised if I married her. After a few months of dating she met my parents and my dad said, "You better marry her because you won't find another one like her." Before that, my parents said I was too particular. After I married her, they never said that I was too particular. They said many times that I have a great wife. Over 40 years later I believe every word they said about her. I am a very fortunate man. My daughter thought she should be different, but as she gets older she is finding out what a great mom she has. My wife gets compliments all the time about how kind she is. I have never met a woman who is as kind as she is. So many times people have given us things we never expected or asked for simply because my wife is so kind and encourages me to help people.
Times have changed and your generation respected marriage, seeing it as a journey for life rather than a destination and something to do before you’re 30
With a name like Bertha, you can probably cook every delicious meal known to man. I would've snatched you up too.😂😂😂😂😂 Can you cook me some mac& cheese & shortribs Bertha?
😂 Me too! I mean all those people telling their stories it’s very interesting. You learn a lot from other people’s point of view and experiences. I don’t necessarily see life or love the same way but i enjoy reading those 😅
You know she is the one right away. It’s something so special. You will put up with anything and everything no matter what it is because love is so great. That’s all.
After 7months of meeting me my husband proposed, I was just 18 and he was 20. I said no because I knew i wasn't ready mentally for that of a decision. We still dated, we got married when I was 23, he was 25. We'll be celebrating our 15th anniversary this month. God is truly amazing, if he loves you he'll be yours and you'll be his. ❤❤
Congrats. You are blessed one day God will bless me with my husband he ordain for me and bless our marriage. God bless you and your marriage. God is amazing. 👏☺
When I was young I had a number of girlfriends, over a 15+ year time span. None of them "clicked" until I first saw my wife. This was before I even talked to her. I just knew inside. We have been married for 33 years now.
@@falsehoodbasher7240 No, it was not just her looks even though she was a former beauty queen. Very much a vibe thing and she just felt right in my gut. The girlfriend before her was a professional model and I ended up dumping and ghosting her. She liked to use people and had other issues. I have always been a guy interested in the "whole package" and not just how a woman looks.
I'm still waiting for my own love story, but my brother saw a pretty girl in a class in college, asked her out, and started dating. They both decided to wait until marriage to have sex (both are Christians). He waited over 5 years for her. They are married and have 2 kids now. My brother said the right woman is worth waiting for. He told me not to tell her, but he would of waited another 5 if she asked him to. That's how you know you have a keeper. I've only had bad relationships so far, but he helped raise the bar for what I should be looking for.
Hello shellest I recommend you to Dr James he helped me reconnected back my broken relationship and made my home secured from third parties within 2 days, and he can also save your marriage from divorce I advice you seek help from him..
Ur blessed that he really new what he wants in life!!! Most men no what they want but afraid to say they prefer to stay single so they play games!! May GOD continue to bless that marriage. Pray for the rest of us women!!🤗👌👍
I believe in the magic feeling.. I’ve dated many girls before who are even more beautiful than my wife. But I have never felt the same connection & spark with them that I have with my wife. It’s the feeling of everything fits perfectly every moment you are together. Nothing is forced, nothing is awkward. Everything is natural & you just have that feeling that this is the person you wanna be with for the rest of your life despite the arguments or differences. And you just have that genuine love & trust for each other. The same amount or even greater love than your own mother & sister.. The level of interest & concern you have for that person is unmatched. It’s like every little thing she does interests you or you’re curious to know.. 😊
@@hollymccarthy4701 Its his humble way of elaborating to us that the "magical feeling" outweighs everything else all his exes offer more than his wife. Whether they're richer, funnier, more loving, more open or perhaps fit some beauty standard more. At the end of the day, she was perfect for him, and he did his best for her, so now that they're happily married. Where did he cross the line?
When i first saw my husband b4 i even met him i told my mom see that guy hes gonna ask me to marry him. He proposed 6 mos later and we r married 37 years this june 18th
@@fashionlife5348 you just know. It was very strange and when i was a kid I stood right in front of him at a party that both of our fathers brought us to with their lodge. I recognized his face from his pictures that I saw after we were married. I believe you will meet your other half no matter what. They will cross your path if not once, twice. Our fathers knew each other even tho I lived in Brooklyn and he lived in NYC, he lived down the block from my aunt and played with my cuzn in the local park. We didn't meet till I was 18.
We met on a blind date. I knew within thirty minutes that she was the one. About to celebrate our 26th anniversary this month. Twenty-six years of marriage, four children, and a lifetime of love and joy. Wouldn't change it for the world.
My boyfriend says “we” in everything. Even today he’s getting a new car soon and I said you gonna be riding clean, he always responds with “yeah we will”☺️🥰
Ahhh same we’re not dating just yet we’ve been talking for about a month and haven’t rushed anything at all! No rush, but he includes me in alot of his sentences. “We” need to go look for a truck later online, “you’ll actually have ac now” etc it’s so cute😂 (he’s into trucks a lot so that’s a big deal)
When i was 16, my boyfriend asked me to marry him after only 2 WEEKS of dating. I thought he was insane. I said it was too fast. 2 months later we were walking in a park and an elderly man and his wife approached us. The man said we looked like him and his wife when they were young and in love. He asked if we were in love and we said yes. He told us he was a marriage officiant and wanted to marry us. We said yes and he married us right then and there. 4 years later we got married legally. we now have 2 children.
@Maria Khaled I think if you don't chase a good man (not players and dirty dick Rodney's) eventually you will end up a single mother or mid 30's and desperate. Not being rude just putting my two bucks in.
My nephew said when he first saw his future wife across a crowded kitchen, he knew she was the one. He saw the shadows of their unborn children. One of the best marriages ever.
My Wife & I took 6 months...no sex, just Dates, fun, Thanksgiving with our families, Christmas with our families & Church together...we still married 5 years later...
@@vivlove5221 yes it's possible! Marriage is supposed to be a new phase in your life where suddenly two individual people become one in all aspects of that essense. If you're already doing everything and you get married after, the only difference is that you've now got a paper that says so. There's passion before ofcourse, but I respect the institution of marriage so much that I'm willing to put my desires on hold and control myself :)
I dated a beautiful woman for three months without sex. I was fine with it and so was she. We actually had a great intimate time before and after we had sex. Once we got together our lives were always fun and exciting because we got to know one another beforehand.
My husband told me when, he saw me the very first time he new I was the one. We dated for 3yrs then got married. We have been happily married for 27 yrs and have 3 Kids. Marriage is beautiful!
A man will show you that you’re the one by his ACTIONS consistent action over time. He can tell you you’re the one alllll he wants but if he don’t treat you like then ✌🏾
When my wife saw me for the 1st time, after we spoke on the phone for a few months and exchange pictures thru the mail ... she said he is the one i am going to marry ... When i saw her for the 1st time, i said the same thing, she is the one .. Met in person in Oct 92 and we are still married in 2019, 27 yrs together :-)
@@iamNaniBae i never got cold feet when we got married .. she is my 1st wife and hopefully the only one... I had no reason to doubt our marriage ever. We dated for 10 yrs and i trusted her 100% as i do today ...
Awww. That's so sweet. You sound just like my biological mom and my step dad. They got married in Oct of 92 and are still together. I just love hearing stories like this. Well whatever you are doing keep up the wonderful work.
My Husband told me that he wanted to marry me the first date. he had seen me and observed me for about 3 months(same workplace), but had not really interacted with me. I was very sceptical but we were engaged within 3 months and I asked him to wait for 8 months after we got engaged before we married. This November we will be celebrating 10 years. He’s a great husband and the kindest man I know. Edit: we still hold hands when we are outside or go for walks to the park and he is always complimenting my cooking and says there is no difference in taste between his mom’s cooking and mine. So yeah, we are just right for each other.
The night I met my husband I told my cousin I met the man I would be marrying. We have now been married for 40 years... can't imagine my life without him
A man gets married when he is ready, not necessarily when he has found 'the one'. Most men miss out on the great opportunity of settling down with a great woman because they weren't ready at the time. That's my take...
This is true! My ex wanted to get married when he was 20 and I was 19, but he ended up cheating and then began accusing me of cheating, so the trust was lost. Such a good point you made!
My hubby said he knew immediately when he laid eyes on me, that i was gonna be his wife. We were engaged 6 months after dating... married with our beautiful baby girl, currently working on our son... it’s been over a decade, still going strong. ♥️
My husband actully never proposed to me. He just said "Let's have our wedding on New Years" and we both started planning lol. We're going on 5 years of marriage now. When a MAN wants you in his life he'll be CLEAR. Period! He'll also want others to know you're his woman. So if you're unsure the status of your relationship and he's keeping you secret to important people in his life, that's a BIG red flag ladies.
My man's family don't like me is that a red flag???? He never says anything nice about his mom he told me she's been kicking him out since he was 16 told him never to call an talk to his brothers an sister now that he doesn't they all blame it on me. When I tell him to go hang out with them call ur family over to hang out he doesn't. Is it a red flag or is it my fault.
@@quemc6000 I don't think you should judge a relationship solely on whether or not what you see is considered a red flag. As a person with quite the judgemental, unaccepting family, I wouldn't say that's a red flag anyway. You're marrying the man you love, not his family; If they aren't good to either of you, it's likely neither of your faults. Screw them, you love who you love and they have no right to interfere in either of your guys' decisions to love one another.
@@quemc6000 When you marry someone you're also marrying into their family as they will be a part of your partner's life wether they're toxic or healthy family. However it's about how much YOU'RE willing to put up with it, because you'll have to deal with them to the extent your partner associates with them. If you plan on having kids, think about how his family may impact your future children too. If you're man is not standing up for you when his family mistreats you, consider that a red flag, because a marriage is a partnership. Both of yall should be advocating for your relationship when someone is putting your relationship at risk, weather that's family or a non-family member. Some people struggle with asserting themselves verbally and making healthy boundaries with people in general. Try to figure out why your partner is struggling to speak up. It may be more of a him problem than a you problem. Regardless of his problems, it's about how much you think is worth it because we're not made to fix our partners at the end of the day that's something they need to put effort in so they're emotionally available to invest in cultivating a healthy relationship.
Same for my man he just said let’s get married in two weeks time after being together since 1 year and a half. When you know you know. I wish to everyone to find that special and unique love ❤
@@daivabaniene3815 i believe cracks form in marriage where partners don’t work everyday to be in a happy marriage. Then become bitter when they know how the cracks got their, and stop fighting for the marriage.
Been with my boyfriend for almost 7 years and just recently got engaged. I didn't want to get married while I was in school and so he waited for me. Graduated grad school last year and now I'm engaged. Education first ladies. If he wants/loves you, he'll wait. There's no rush.
New Naturel that is true. My 2 brothers waited till their wives finished uni too. One even paid for all of his wife’s grad school (he is only 4yrs older but graduated college at 19 so he earned early). Both bros hv been married 12+ yrs.
@@ihadtotaketheredpill that makes no sense. If he was insecure, then he would try to marry me as soon as possible. My fiance believes in our relationship and is SECURE in himself that we will be together. As I am secure in myself that we will be together. We love each other and we want each other. And no, he was not dating other females. We are very much involved each other lives. I know his family and he knows mine. We spend allot of our time together whether it's just going out, vacationing, family events, graduation, or simply staying at home. The engagement ring is my 2nd ring from him. The first was the promise ring. It's just unfortunate that you haven't met someone like that to really know what it means to be secure.
New Naturel Why would he wait for you that long when he could’ve been with other females and having a fun time. Yes, I understand some females hold a special place and you know deep down shes the one but are saving her for later. But, it is too risky to do that nowadays. You couldve met someone in school you liked better than him and BAM all that time wasted.
My husband proposed to me after 2 months of dating. We were friends before though. We have now been married for 4 years and love each other more and more as the years pass. Just our experience
Men know what they want. When they do they go for it. My husband I first met when we were in our early teen years and instantly clicked. We never saw each other after that day. 2 years later we reconnected but we were just friends because we were dating other people, but the chemistry was strong and we both were so into each other still. We went our separate ways with no contact. After several years, we reconnected. This time we were older, young adults and both single. After 2 months of talking as friends and getting to know each other more, he asked me to be his GF. After 2 weeks of dating he asked me to marry him. The next month we picked a date. Then we with our families started to plan our wedding. Within 9 months we were married. We have been married for 13 years and still crazy in love with 6 kids. Love is real and when a man knows he knows!
After 2 weeks of dating we said I love you. We started talking about marriage after a month. He told me after college we are getting married. My mom and dad were married 3 months after meeting and they are still happily married 22 years later. There's no timeline generalization.
@@windsofmarchjourneyperrytr2823 why is that crazy? That is just your opinion. But soulmate connections really intensify feelings of love and adoration
I met my mother in law the day after I met my husband for the very first time. He told both of us at the table over breakfast that I was the woman he was marrying and have kids with. I can’t even begin to tell you how I’m that moment I knew I was with the right man for me. She has told me repeatedly that he had dated a lot of women and NEVER ever said anything that he has said about me. When you know, you know. So happy we both found eachother. Shaun ❤
@@selohcin Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My husband, when we met, was 20 years older, gray hair, long beard, pot belly, no money, no job, poor health! 🤣😃😄 So, you tell me! Love at first sight can be a deep, spiritual, soul to soul recognition, not necessarily lust. That is why we have lasted 20 years, and still going strong. 😁👍
My mam and dad met and married in 8 months. They were married 49 years until my mam passed away. Devoted until the end……a true love story. Lost my dad in February. I miss them both every day. They are both reunited now xxx
I was 17 and my husband 18 when we starting to date. 6 months later we got engaged 3 months later we got married lol we have been together for 20yrs and we have two kids. And the thing that we pride ourselves on is we weren't pregnant when we got married. It was for love ❤️. We didn't have a child for two more years. And I'm still crazy about him today. I love u baby 😘.
Met my husband when I was 20, he was 27. He moved in with me 2 months after we met, and got married 4 years later. We're still together after 30 years. 🙌❤️✌😊
I was 17 when I met his Mom. We drove about 4 1/2 hours to her grave and left her flowers, and he told me a few stories he remembered about her. He told me how often family members told him of how much he was like her. He told me that she would have loved me. We’re getting married after we graduate college.
My husband knew after two weeks. He had been with more women than I’d like to admit. But for some reason he said I was just different. He wanted me for the rest of his life. 12 years and 6 kids later things are great.
Men know right away. I agree - they definitley know within 6 months. The couple times I was engaged before - the men started talking marriage pretty fast. I wasn't ready and they weren't the ones but I am happily married now and it's been 8 years. We discussed marriage by the end of the first month and were engaged within 6.
when he first saw me he said he knew I wanted you for my wife.. I was 17, he 22 , met his family after 2 weeks of dating... 30 yrs later we are still on cloud 9! we put GOD first, fuss everyday.. make up all night😉 we support each other and build each other up....and he makes me laugh!
Me and this guy has started talking haven’t met yet planning to but it’s been 2 weeks and it’s like all he talks about is making me happy me being his wife and wanting a family but isn’t this too soon for these type of conversations, he has even went as far as telling me he loves me “ because I don’t try to use him and I’m easy to talk to and nice” but the conversations has me raising my eyebrows a little bit I just think it’s all too soon
You will meet a lot of " not the ones" before you meet "the one". This has kept me grounded. Stop looking to be found. Stop comparing yourself to others. Stop beating yourself up because you think you are suppose to be married at a certain age. If you are keeping Yah's commandments, then you are exactly where you need to be in life.
My husband knew he wanted to marry me right away. He told me he loved me right away and asked me to marry me after a few months...we have been married 26 years...He has been the best thing in my life...when you know, you know!!!
It's not definitive but it is a sign. Just like doing well in school is a good sign you will be successful but it isn't definitive. Doesn't mean it means nothing however.
Yep, that's what it is. My husband felt like "home" right away. I am looking at one of his long love letters to me as I type this. I got super lucky. (And got a real babe, to boot, a ripped athlete with an artist's soul).
I married my husband 3 months after knowing him that too in long distance relationship..we are happily married for 6 yrs with 2 wonderful children ❤️.. both of us are from different cultures..different countries...different faith..yet we ❤️ each other a lot..
The correct answer is you have to go through things with your person and see how they react to different situations. Good times, Bad times, in need of support and etc. Then you can determine if she is the one
You don't know the person is the one, until you've been through enough situations in which they are tested. 1. Attitude 2. Outlook 3. Behavior 4. Respect 5. Communication Are a few of the qualities that are imperative to a long lasting, happy and respectful relationship filled with love. There is no time limit to make sure you're right for each other. Especially l, if you plan to have children.
I know from experience that it doesn't matter who you meet within his family and how much they adore you once you're in. Majority of the time they'll lie in your face to cover his past, current, and future tracks 🤷🏾♀...
Yeah, I met the last one's extended family. When one female cousin tried to pull me aside before we left a family gathering, he quickly intervened (even making a little scene). Yeah, I was into ignoring red flags back then.
Yup, family won't give you the scoop cuz you're technically an outsider. Maybe if the family member hates their own family they might spill the beans but that's about it lol
It's so true, they know. Tell these women to wake up lol! I've been proposed to on multiple occasions without having to pressure or coerce the man I was dating. #THEMANKNOWSWHENHEKNOWS LOL That's why I'm not all about pressuring or forcing relationships! We could be hindering eachother from our ultimate blessing, heavenly soulmate etc. Lol. People better WAKE UP!
@@BrooklynBaby100 You're right, proposed to doesn't mean anything unless you're walking down the isle with the RIGHT man. Walking down the isle for the sake of just saying you're married carries NO VALUE in today's world. It's about the long haul baby! If you've been proposed multiple times, like me, shot them down on my own accord because I felt like the guys were not the one for me, well then a bullet was dodged. That means a high probability of divorce and an unhappy marriage.
Having no morals/ethics and values, poor upbringing, dysfunctional families have all contributed to this. I think this is very evident in western nations. Where I am from, marriage is still very much sacred. People value finding the right partner. They don't do everything and anything with their girl/boy friend only to break up and move onto another person. Far too much "experimentation" and carelessness.
U E I agree!! Waiting until marriage allows you to see someone for who they really are without all the feelings of sexual desires that can blind someone from making the right decision.
I agree with my grandparents sentiments on marriage . One thing that I remember my grandfather saying to me is that marriage is when you are together for so long that you fall out of love into deep dislike and back into love but for a totally new reason than in the beginning . I think my grandparents know what their talking about , married for just under 51 years and passed on 3 months apart . Be more optimistic otherwise ur negative outlook will surely bring negative outcomes ..:D
My husband proposed to me when we were 15 years old after a couple of months. I said yes- we didn’t get married right away because we were underage but now, we’re celebrating 20 years and we have 4 kids together. He’s the love of my life and my best friend.
This is weird. If he is not sure you’re the one, then he’s also not the one for you. It‘s simple. Women allow themselves to be graded while the man passes with flying colors. If he is not decided on you, then he is also not right for you. It’s not a match. 🤷🏾♀️
Allen Reynolds slow down and read carefully. Nothing about my comment says I know how a man thinks. Lol. The video says how does a man know if “you’re the one?” The question suggests a woman can “tell” at all, right? If at any moment I can spot the “signs” a man is not serious about me, by that logic that would mean he’s not for me. Why would I be attracted to, or looking for a future in a person that does not want the same? How are we even attracting each other? What is our conversation like if I’m planning a future with him in my head, but in his head he’s not doing the same? People who are right for each other do not have misaligned intentions. So if a woman is being let on, meaning regardless of what a man is thinking/not communicating verbally, that is intuition for a woman that he’s not ready or willing to go forward. And if she wants the “one” she needs to look for someone compatible. Not pine away for the guy that through his actions, is not fixed on having her for a lifetime. I think you just challenged me for the sake of it lol. I don’t need to know if I’m right about what’s in your head. My point is if actions speak louder than words, as Steve is suggesting, I should be having that same energy. A guy is not the one for me if I’m not the one for him.
At 0:53 he starts he starts to give a tip to women on how to spot signs. But the point is, women should not be decided on a guy being the one for her if he doesn’t demonstrate likewise. Relationships (good ones) are consensual and mutual. If I can tell a man is not looking to build, it will be obvious sooner than later and I will not have attraction to him as “the one”. It’s not a match just off that energy alone. Many societies seem to think all women are “ready” for a man whether he’s kind, a jerk, an idiot, mean, emotionally unavailable... lol. I’m not open to a man simply because he is standing there lol. There needs to be a desire to commit from both people at the same time for there to be a healthy match. One person can’t (shouldn’t) be like “oh he’s the one!” while the other person is like, “nah. I’m cool on her.” 😂 That’s poor judgement.
Allen Reynolds dude... I’m not giving men advice. If you cannot read in between the lines lemme make it clear: 1). My comment is my assertion. 2). My comment is directed towards women.
Allen Reynolds and my whole comment is about how Steve’s advice makes no sense. I don’t take any of his chauvinistic advice. I don’t know why you are coming for my comment when you don’t understand what I’m saying in the first place lol. You would have seen that we actually agree in part. Read and comprehend.
Allen Reynolds dude again... lol. It’s not advice to women about men. You think way too much of yourself my guy. This is about a woman’s judgment. When women stay in toxic or unfulfilling relationships it’s because we are not being honest with ourselves as much as we can be. Women can develop a relationship with themselves by understanding their own needs and desires before shopping around for someone to supply them. Steve’s whole advice catalogue is based around women being chosen or placating men’s behavior. This comment is about women being introspective for their own sake. Not what to do to Think Like A Man, or any of that. Some things are self-reflective and having knowledge of the people you attract.
My fiancé knew in 17 days. Gave me an heirloom promise ring in 21 days. Proposed with the diamond 2 months to the date that we met. Getting married in 6 months...July 2020.
Flower power- it might be luck, but honestly it’s God. For years the Holy spirit was telling me that he wasn’t right for me. God was telling me to stop fornicating with him and letting him waste my time in a pseudo-relationship. I wasn’t obedient. The soul tie was SO strong. I finally prayed to God for the strength to leave. I prayed to God to break the soul tie, and He did. The spirit said if I could die to the flesh my husband would find me. And he did, and I’m staying chaste until we are married. Feels so much better doing it this way.
17 days?? Did you run a background check? Because i SURE TF would. Marry in haste, repent in leisure. You don't get to be old by being stupid; just trust us older people.
Winds of March Journey/Perry tribute band- thank you for the advice. Background check has been done. I’m 42, and divorced before so I’m grown. I stay prayed up and am always asking God for discernment. Thank you for your care and concern. 🙏🏽
In my case, I married my husband after 9 months of first meeting.. he met my family and friends prior to our wedding but I didn't meet any of his family members (not even video calls) due to our long distance locations. Nevertheless, I chose to trust him because I could see in his actions that he sincerely loves me regardless of my flaws and imperfections. And now??? Yes, we finally got married and I finally met his family after a few months of marriage and everything turned out great!!! Note to self: when choosing a partner make sure it's pure LOVE and not lust! You can never go wrong with LOVE 😘.. never! 💓💓💓
After I kissed my fiance for the first time he said he know I was the one as well i felt the same. We had been hanging out for a couple weeks before I kissed him and I just lend over and suprised him with a kiss as he was talking and felt something I never had before, a true connection. I will be 40 married, sadly to say, 4 times and never felt that when I kissed them. I flet nothing most of the time saying I didnt want to kiss. We knew at that moment. He later after the New Year a few months later he asked me to marry him. We have been together 2 and a half years and I feel happier in life then i ever have with anyone.
I knew my wife was "the one" when she took care of my family as if they were her own. She always showed me respect and defended me, even when my friends were playfully insulting me (as men tend to do).
Yes tell more! Because I have a guy right now telling me he loves me and we only been talking for 2 months and we haven’t even had a date yet..he says he knew from the first moment we spoke..I’m confused because I never had anyone tell me those things so fast it’s always been 6-8 months with at least 2 dates and of course sex for them to say something
Same! I've been dating with my boyfriend since i was 17 years old in highschool. Now we've been dating for 8 years and he asked me to marry him next year.
hahhaha i was just gonna say. this man let diddy date his youngest daughter and we heard zip😩i kno i mess up with women but god forbid me to mess up on my child. when that day comes up u gotta boss up and protect
It might take 6 months, but people should still date for at least 2 yrs to be sure. You need to see how the person reacts and responds in the face of adversity. That is most important. Everyone can behave well in good times, but bad times really test a person. And marriage is all about ups and downs.
No way. 4 seasons maximum. I would never let a dude “date” me for two years. Time is our most valuable resource and once it’s gone, you can’t get it back. One year is long enough for: A tough life situation (better or worse) Some type of cold or health issue (sickness and health) And some type of financial hiccup (richer or poorer) And if after that one year he isn’t sure about marrying me, he wouldn’t get another. 😂🤷🏽♀️ I firmly believe when a man is GENUINELY into a woman and feels like he has won the lottery, he will NOT drag his feet.
I had been friends with a man for a year We were both engaged to other people. We were talking one day and he said we get on so we'll, we should be the ones getting married. I said yeah we should. Two weeks later we were married. That was 31 years ago. 😊
I had a ex we dated 4 years met his parents .... his parents loved me and were good people.. but my ex cheated and cheated in the end dumped me for another girl. He swore he would never leave me for another girl but look what happen he left me for another girl. 😐
I made my request known to God, He honored my prayer and sent this fine, handsome, gentle, considerate, easygoing, generous man my way. I'm 60, he's 59. We came together last year at our 40th class reunion, we started seriously dating July of this year, about a month ago he proposed to me. Planning to be married in February, having ceremony in September 2023. He still skates, and helping me to get back into it, my mind told me that I could, 😂 my legs said we gave this up a while ago. I do intend to continue until we're skating together.
Preach! I'm sick of seeing women being left after years of dating the same guy. If he doesn't make a move after 12 months, what's he waiting for? He's just hitting it while looking for something better in the meantime.
I met my husband in September and married him in January the following year. 4 months later. We were married 20 years before he passed almost 3 years ago. 😍
My ex boyfriend really thought I was the one. He introduced me to his family and did almost all these things. Yet somehow he wasnt the one for me. Everything was too fast for me and he wanted to get married so quickly. I feel like a criminal for leaving him but I knew it was the right thing for me to do at this particular point in time
@@Sofwan786 yes I did. After I broke up with him he started to show his true colours and it wasn't pretty. He was pretending to be nice all along but he wasn't. One of those guys who knows how to "charm" a girl but actually has a whole hidden dark side. Still, I hope he is well these days and I don't think badly of him. I just can't be near him for many reasons.
shamein carter 😂🤣 Just means he made a lot of mistakes... but he learned something and now he writing books about it😂🤣😂🤣 It’s said that experience is the greatest teacher 😂🤣🤔
Easter Tatum I’m wit shamein carter! Yes. Life is a good teacher! Steve can give advice on some things relationship-wise. BUT what he cannot do is make hard an fast rules about “the one” when he’s had several 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️. Now if he’d said you can have several “ones” in your life for a season, a stay, a purpose, or whatever, then it’ll be cool. Ain’t nothing wrong wit mistakes. But I think much of his audience is oblivious or forgetful that he an Marjorie is not his first time at the rodeo. That means a woman needs to rely on her better judgment on if he is the one for HER. Going by Steve’s advice will getchu looking like the last two ex-wives 🤷🏾♀️
Allen C Allen C nah, it’s not jokes to the women that buy his books and pack his audience out. Although I have a suspicion some of his audience questions are plants, most of the people there I think are really looking for advice, not jokes.
My parents went out on two dates and decided to move in together. Both said they just knew it was it. Two months later they got engaged and three months after that they had their wedding. Still happily married 24 years and counting! When you know you know
I was moving to another state for graduate school and my husband said back then "nothing can separate me from you". He proposed and we have been married for 19 years. I ended up in school in the same state as my baby.
My husband and I both had plans with our friends that had fell threw. We ran into each other in the hall both with an open night now. We decided to go out to a club together. Later down the road we discussed with each other how we both had the thought that night of ditching each other if we had found someone more fun then the other. But like some magnetic force we were just drawn to each other. The ens of the night I remember we just sat at a bench and talked. I dont remember the talk all I remember is it made me think differently about him and wanted to actually take it serious as it did him. He was the biggest gentlman with me. Months down the road I had got orders to be stationed in Korea. When he reenlisted just to go to Korea too to be with me(on his own free will) that's when i knew he was the one for me along with so much he has done for me physically, mentally and spiritually. 7 wonderful years with my darling and I can't help but love him more everyday.
My husband and I were good friends first. I guess not everyone is a love at first sight lol. Although I do distinctly remember the moment I looked at him and said in my head “hey when did he get so hot? Huh! He looks really good!”
Look one thing my mother always told me when I was a little girl “ a boy tells you he loves you a man shows it to you”

@@quemc6000 Sounds like a toxic family and nothing to do with you, you're just an easy target. Similar happened to my friend.
Excluding all of the bitter comments, the comments about true love/soulmate connections are so beautiful.
I agree, but as every second family is separated, people have a lot of bitterness in them, despite that we still want to believe and be positive.
Bitter comments or realistic comments?

Only insecure men would wait that long for a female UNLESS he was dating other females while he was “waiting” for you
Bad Bunny explain why insecure man would wait that long?
Best advice: ask God, put him first in everything, lastly live for God with your body, mind and soul. He will give you the desires of your heart.

Hello fbi yes this right here

17 and 22 that's low-key pedk

The correct answer is you have to go through things with your person and see how they react to different situations. Good times, Bad times, in need of support and etc. Then you can determine if she is the one
You don't know the person is the one, until you've been through enough situations in which they are tested.
1. Attitude
2. Outlook
3. Behavior
4. Respect
5. Communication

People have changed over the years. Love has grown very cold...
You hit that target right in the bulls eye
Having no morals/ethics and values, poor upbringing, dysfunctional families have all contributed to this. I think this is very evident in western nations. Where I am from, marriage is still very much sacred. People value finding the right partner. They don't do everything and anything with their girl/boy friend only to break up and move onto another person. Far too much "experimentation" and carelessness.
U E I agree!! Waiting until marriage allows you to see someone for who they really are without all the feelings of sexual desires that can blind someone from making the right decision.
True
Not all these ‘signs’ are SIGNS anymore... these days🤔
R. Macdonald you need to have discerning of the spirit mate.
Exactly, these outdated ass signs lol
True
Right,, Right sure right
Exactly !! A man can still take you to meet his wholeeeeeeeeee generation and still not be "THE ONE".
Some things are self-reflective and having knowledge of the people you attract.

locdsongbird Jackson- Thank you!! I waited 7 years for the wrong man. Broke up with him and met my soul mate a month later!

It might take 6 months, but people should still date for at least 2 yrs to be sure. You need to see how the person reacts and responds in the face of adversity. That is most important. Everyone can behave well in good times, but bad times really test a person. And marriage is all about ups and downs.
Arya Stark this is the truth
Yes!
So true
No way. 4 seasons maximum. I would never let a dude “date” me for two years. Time is our most valuable resource and once it’s gone, you can’t get it back.
One year is long enough for:
A tough life situation (better or worse)
Some type of cold or health issue (sickness and health)
And some type of financial hiccup (richer or poorer)
And if after that one year he isn’t sure about marrying me, he wouldn’t get another. 😂🤷🏽♀️
I firmly believe when a man is GENUINELY into a woman and feels like he has won the lottery, he will NOT drag his feet.
