Only on the 22 975 nightster the left and right control module stay on and drain the battery with the switch off. There is a service bulletin. I just went through this and got my bike Saturday. The parts are on back order until December. My dealer did a down bike with Harley Davidson. They pulled the parts off the assembly line.
This bulletin informs dealers who are experiencing a battery drain issue on 2022 Nightster vehicles of a repair process. An issue has been identified where the Left Hand Control Module (LHCM) (Part No. 71500552) and Right Hand Control Module (RHCM) (Part No. 71500543) may keep the Controller Area Network (CAN) Bus awake after turning off the vehicle. This issue is more likely to occur in elevated temperatures. This is mainly what the bulletin says and gives the updated part numbers.

Great info, thanks. I still had a persistent no start issue, which is the biggest reason I got rid of my Nightster.

H-D should be praising your name for staying calm and explaining your issue. So many people loose their minds on the service personnel. Probably why service can be sour at times.

I’m in the same boat I bought my nightster in 2022 and my only problems have been with my local dealer service.i just only bring my bike in when it’s something major.

Harley believes they're own press. And the Bruthers are willing to pay for that name and abuse

What did they do to fix the start issue?

No joy. If I attempt to crank up in Neutral, it seems to start every time. In First gear, it's hit or miss. I hate dealing with H-D, so I refuse to take it back unless it is a hard no-start issue. It's weird. I love the bike though.

Isn’t this a software update issue?

Good question. Yes and no. They updated the system and changed the left controls, but I still get intermittent no starts, especially on cold starts.
