    I keep a moisturizer in the shower and use it while I’m damp. This is what I recommend for everyone regardless of skin type. Just make sure its fragrance free and good quality. Works like a charm.

      This is actually how lotion is SUPPOSED to be used... Always applied to damp skin, so this is def a great tip! 😀 For folks new to this, think about how much better your hand lotion absorbs when you apply it right after washing your hands... Boom, same thing for body.

      Watch out for skin fungus from not drying your skin thoroughly

    • @justRoRo

      @@anikajoy5739 that's not really a bodywide issue and not applicable to all (whereas how to apply lotion *properly, is,), however, you'll want to pay special attention if that's an area of concern, to spots like feet, and where there are folds of skin like under breast etc. But it's highly unlikely to have skin fungus issues (for the average person) on just extremities and torso 🙂

    Im all about minimizing products into one that does all so if anyone else is struggling with multiple/all of these issues I strongly recommend the CeraVe moisturizing cream for psoriasis. My dermatologist recommended it to me & it has become my holy grail lotion. It has 5% urea, niacinamide, 2% salacylic acid, ceramides, & lactic acid. Basically all ingredients that can tackle the issues in this video.

    Bioderma Shower [Oil] is my #1 loved product. I have a box of eczema/anti-itch products, all of which I use at any time everyday. I've almost scratched my feet off at the ankles; gone to town gone to town on fingers, palms of my hands. I use Bioderma for handwashing and showers.

  • @justRoRo
    @justRoRo Год назад +78

    I use the bioderma shower oil, it's amazing and altho anti-irratant it does have a light scent I love but folks should know. Also if you're on a budget - it DOES come in smaller sizes, so if you can't do the $30, they also have a $9, and $20 size. Luckily, a little of this oil goes a long way, so it will last a long time no matter the size. ❤

    • @Soireb
      @Soireb Год назад +6

      Would you say that it could work as a first cleanse to remove sunscreen? I have a good oil cleanser for my face, but the bottle is small and it won’t last if I’m using it in the entire body. Do you think that this Bioderma product would work in that scenario?

    • @justRoRo
      @justRoRo Год назад +8

      @@Soireb I use it for body primarily (I use la Roche-Posey products on face most times). Although you can definitely use it in face also. However, you use it on wet skin, unlike a face oil cleanser, so if you're trying to use it on dry skin for the oil massaging first, it's not meant for that, but does definitely remove sun screen and makeup regardless

    • @Soireb
      @Soireb Год назад +2

      @@justRoRo Thank you for replying. I definitely want it for the body. I’m between Puerto Rico and Florida, so I use sunscreen on the body too. I have a face oil cleanser that i like but it is also about $30 in such a small bottle, that if I use it for the body too it will become extremely expensive to buy. So I’m looking for a body alternative.

    • @Soul_midwife_tarot
      @Soul_midwife_tarot Год назад +4

      The smaller sizes are usually more expensive for the amount though. So if you can, get the big one because it’s cheaper for the amount you get.

    • @justRoRo
      @justRoRo Год назад +8

      @@Soul_midwife_tarot my comment was for people who literally can not afford to spend $30 but can afford $10. ESPECIALLY for something they've never tried before and don't know how their skin will react or even if they like it, they may not have a "spare" $30 to waste for a month and my comment is helpful. If that doesn't apply to you, that's fine, then it wasn't meant for you or your budget. If you have problem skin, but are also low income, those options matter when trying a new product.

      For the products you do recommend, there are a lot of them that contain certain ingredients such as PEG's, propylene glycol, and other ingredients on the certain so-called " dirty list." Ameliorate lotion is another great option for KP. It has been the only thing that I've used that through consistent usuage that decreased my level of KP and skin started feeling smoother! It can be bought at Boots in the UK but I think online in the US as well.

    I don't really get how cellulite is the first thought when it comes to anti aging for the body... I would have thought loss of skin elasticity, crepiness etc. would be the main concerns. Body creams are really lacking in targeted and active treatments especially here in Australia. I haven't found one that actually does anything other than moisturise (which is great but i want to treat my body like I do my face). I've started using tret once a week on my upper body and booty... so far my skin is tolerating it.

    I have, or have had, the dreaded chicken skin on my upper arms. Wish I had seen advice like yours for it many many years ago! Now it´s almost gone, when I don´t eat gluten and generally eat a very clean whole foods nutritious mainly plant based diet. Since I started yoga I´ve also seen big changes due to lymphatic flow improvement. My prefered products for the body are pure almond oil as mosturizer after shower, dead sea salt scrub with essential oils especially for feets and lower legs, mud masks (like Guam, very common here in Italy) even though it´s very messy and not fun to keep for 45-60 minutes with plastic wrap over it......

    I have a lot of itching on my body but it's not eczema and the redness comes and go away naturally, all the doctors I went could never guess what it is. I use the Bioderma oil and Isdin Ureadin Bath Gel (but the texture is actually of a cream) for showering and afterwards I use Cerave or Fisiogel body lotion and it helps a lot with the itching.

    My skin doesn't handle physical exfoliation and ends up aggravating my KP and skin's dryness.
    My KP has been noticeably improving with using a toner/ essence and immediately following with a retinol body moisturiser mixed with some raw shea or cocoa butter
    I'll be trying an Amlactin lactic acid body cream soon - my face loves lactic acid but oddly glycolic acid has no effect on my skin at all - hoping lactic acid helps my KP as well.

      Curious if you’ve tried applying it but not utilizing the ‘scrub’ feature. Essentially applying it, let it sit on skin for ten minutes. Then rinsing it off. I do this to avoid accidental over exfoliation. Get the benefits without harming uppermost layer of skin.

    For KP, I love love love ameliorate transforming body lotion. It is surprisingly rarely mentioned in kp videos and I don’t understand why because it is awesome! It really works, my skin is now so smooth, and also it is so delicate for my sensitive skin and very moisturising too. I swear by it. I can’t believe still the effect that it had on my KP. Alternatively Cerave SA smoothing cream is effective too but a little aggressive in my opinion. It makes me peel all over. Ameliorate never does
