  • I will show you seven different falcon model kits that are out there and give you a idea of what you can expect from small kits to large kits. (And I know I made some spelling mistakes in the vid) From cheap too expensive. help by being a Patreon. / rotsohimmf

The thing with these kits is the MPC kit you are showing is old, back then in the late 70's when produced it was state of the art. Now days with 3D modeling, scanning etc the kits are so much nicer. What I like about even the older kits is the history of them. Build them, display them and you can have on your shelf a wonderful showing of what is arguably the most famous and coveted ship in Science Fiction. Great video also....

I had I believe an MPC kit that had a light up feature back in the 80's. I built and and loved it until a friend stepped on it. :-( Then there was a kit that had a opening for the main cargo area from the 90's that I almost bought until I realized it was incorrect as the "inside area" crowded into the gun turret area and just looked bad.

Speaking as an old mean, it was ice to see the original red on silver Jedi packaging.

Nice. I am in Japan so have easy access to the Bandai stuff. I just did the 1/144 after the 1/350 for practice and it was great fun. I can't quite justify the 1/72 yet, so I am probably going to get an AMC one to do a dry-run and get my paint technique down.

  • @Hellothis584

you need to add a summary at the end of your video with the price, quality of parts/level of detail etc

Bandai 1:144 kit. 3 versions, 1 for each of the sequel releases. No “original trilogy version”, but each version comes with all the parts that came with the previous version(s), so the Rise of Skywalker version has the round AND rectangular dish, plus figures from all 3 versions and corrected mandible sidewall parts that the Last Jedi version first included.

When hobby lobby has their occasional model kit sale 40% is a good time to get the bandai.

Great vid nice to see the comparisons. You mention that the Bandai decal sheet looked a bit thick. That's because you have the standard version, that comes with stickers not decals. The lighting kit version comes with the decals 👍

There was a Master Replicas Falcon, it wasn't a kit but a very fine repro of the studio model

Great video! There's a background hum though that's pretty annoying. 😊
