STAR WARS STAR DESTROYER, CHIMAERA, EXPANSION PACK, Ship REVIEW
0:08 nice way to blow a stop sign in a congested area...lol
yea that vid is so sped up it looks like we are going fast but probably doing 5 in some areas
When you have unlimited funds to do a true historic restoration down to the last detail...a masterpiece.
Probably better then when it came off the factory floor. And thanks for watching
Great video!
thanks Glad ya liked
OMG I got 5 for the colonial fleet.
I wonder if they will make more BSG stuff for this Christmas. And thanks for watching
@@RevengeOfTheShow You know my comment above was meant to say, I got to HAVE 5 to recreate the Fleet from the premier. But great channel thanks for the efforts, subbed, and I found a BSG Daggit couple yarns back at a second hand store off St. Marks St. in NYC. Keep us informed for what's coming up for us BSG fans. It's such a strange madness when it comes to BSG merch and companies. Thanks.
@@RichardEKranz thanks for subscribing
One reason why I started building Plastic models was all to do with Boyd. He really made my models come alive. And because of Boyd I went over and beyond. All my Star Trek builds are because of Boyd. RIP 😢BOYD 😢
You and many others
2:50 👍👏👏👏
thanks chuck
Qualité très médiocre pour un prix exorbitant . Une vrai ARNAQUE. 👎👎
His videos on the 1:350 TOS Enterprise was my inspiration to get back into model building. The way he explained things during his builds made it seem as if anyone could build what he was building. He will truly be missed.
yea he held no secrets to building a model kit
Boyd was a nice guy and a great modeler. RIP.
Boyd was a once in a lifetime person. I thoroughly enjoyed his builds and his various treatments over the years. I will miss him.
yes we will
I’m in shock. I knew he was ill but had no clue his time was so near to ending. I only subscribed to his channel a little less than a year ago. His easy manner and clear dedication to modeling won me over with the first of his videos that I saw. His willingness to reply to comments really struck me too- he was incredibly patient as you said, answering the same questions over and over, knowing that it might have been the hundredth time he had heard it but it was the first time the commenter got up the courage to ask. His willingness to share his “secrets” was boundless. He was happy to learn new things too, like about the existence of flexible superglue. I’m rambling here. My thoughts just won’t order for me. I’m going to go and binge watch all of his videos while his channel is still up. He still has a lot to teach. That’s going to be my tribute to him.
Yes it was shocking and still is. I am glad you found his channel and will continue to watch his work and he did really want to show everything he knew about building models.
Hi Bruce. I literally just saw Boyd. On April 24th I met him. I'd purchased his Ultimate Space Battleship Yamato to help support his treatments and went to his house to pick it up. He looked great. He was in good spirits and seemed to be physically recovering and getting stronger. And, I have to say, he was so nice and the coolest older nerd I've ever met. He spent the better part of 6 hours showing me his workspace and his model room while we just talked about everything science fiction and the modeling community. I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear he'd just passed away. I will treasure the time I spent with him, the model he made and how amazing his show was. He inspired me to start modeling again and his videos always had great tips on techniques and experiences shared. I will really miss him. RIP Boyd Crompton.
wow I was always hoping to get out there to his shop and to finally talk to him in person and I am glad to here that you had such a nice time with him. And boy you really got a great model build from him that star blazers ship is so cool. thanks so much for writing what you wrote.
Just found your channel. I remember doing a couple Google Hangouts with Boyd way back when. He was an amazing builder and it always made me feel good to see that something I did caught his attention enough to have hime make a comment. He will be missed. I think I'm going to be doing a Lost in Space build in his honor since I know that was a favorite of his. You've been subbed
thanks and that would be cool when you build that lost in space ship
Boyd was a great inspiration to many, including myself. Sorry to hear of his passing.
I hope I did it right for him in this vid
He will be greatly missed and a great loss to the scale model community
yes he will
Sorry for your loss, Bruce.
thanks. its a loss to the model community.
Im still in limbo man. I still cant put my head around not ever speaking with him again.
yea it sucks I think its just hard not really having closer being we never saw him in person but yet we and especially you and cal, Armondo, and tag You guys probably talked to him more then anyone.any way I hope we talk soon
@@RevengeOfTheShow i tried catching Cal in the hangout night before last but he wasnt on when i checked in. I might try again this coming weekend.
Let me know when you go on
Hello Revenge guys! I am very glad that you do visit these shows because there are folks out here that might not be able to get to visit these cool shows, people like me, that for whatever reason, I am very grateful that you can bring shows like this to the rest of us to see the figures and dioramas and the people that make them. I would, if you pardon me, not putting any of you work down, not at all sir! But if there is any thing that I may ask of you is if you could possibly slow down the video when you are showing the figures and such as to really get a good look and the individual craftsmanship that went into making these pieces. I have always loved knights in shining armour as sit high upon their trusty battle mounts! Over all, again I do thank you for sharing your adventure with all of us whom view this awsome show!
Thanks for watching. It’s always difficult to show everything at the show or rather every table. My next show I may have to show less and give better looks at some stuff. Again thanks for watching
Ring Lardner only got a writing credit. The director changed much of the dialog. In fact Ring Lardner was quoted saying "How could you do this? There's not a word that I wrote in the picture."
Didn’t he win a academy award for best screenplay? And thanks for watching
@@RevengeOfTheShow He wrote a script. Robert Altman ignored it. He still gets a writing credit and any award for the screenplay would go to him.
@@THE-michaelmyers cool good to know
How’s life?-very professional picture,Revenge,
its ok and thanks for watching and glad you like the pics
again... no ships
No ship or boats just space ships. I was torn if I should title it space ships I needed to shorten the title
Where were the ship? I saw no ships only spaceships.
Who built that incredible blue and white ship with the vertical orientation and the empty circle part in the center?!? That one is, by far, my favorite.
I don’t know but it is very cool
And thanks for watching
@@RevengeOfTheShow I found out that it's from the Foundation show from Apple TV and that Adam Savage interviewed the builder on his Tested RUclips channel!
Cool I will have to check that out
The blue and white vertical ship at 15.09 is FANTASTIC. Best in show, as far as I'm concerned. Anyone know who made that? I'd love to track them down and compliment them!
The unknown star ship is the Cerritos from lower decks the animated series
Thanks for the answer and thanks for watching
@@RevengeOfTheShow Np had fun watching.
Glad to hear that
I tuned into to see the Star Trek models and was blown away by the Frasier set.
Yea that was cool. Thanks for watching
Hey, thank you for featuring 2 of my builds…the U.S.S. Alexander and the Space Jockey!
They are great builds and paint jobs I liked them a lot. And thanks for watching
you need to add a summary at the end of your video with the price, quality of parts/level of detail etc
Probably would have done things a bit differently it was a very early vid. Thanks for watching
A pretty good video, but where's the CultTVman table? Steve's a totally great guy (and a personal friend) and he's done SO much to support the hobby; by providing hard to find kits and great connections to the manufacturers, which is a big win for all modelers.
Please stand still!
I did but had to edit people out of the way
DAMN, SO GOOD. I WISH THERE WERE E.E. "DOC" SMITH AND ALAN DEAN FOSTER STUFF, TOO.
Yea cool stuff and thanks for watching
Amazing
Thanks and again thanks for watching and saying something.
Awesome
Thanks and thanks for watching
No shortage of obesity in Louisville
Thanks! Nice to see many of those up close and not just in beauty shots on Facebook.
Thanks i tried. And thanks for watching
First! Fantastic models great video thanks! Get some sleep!:)
Thanks very much. I will get some sleep when I get home from my job. Thanks for watching
I would rather have the Hobby Boss Kit ! IT at least some riveting! Really disappointed with Academy!!
Thank you for the tour for those of us that didn't make it there. Were the B9 Robot Builders not there again this year? What happened to them?
I did not see them. Thanks for watching maybe you will be there next year.
@@RevengeOfTheShow I need to go to one of these some time for sure!
Yea there is a lot of cool stuff at the show the skill the builders have is pretty amazing.
Awesome vid
thanks
Wow dude! I really wanted to watch but, you’re making me dizzy. Movement is to erratic and inconsistent. Sorry dude, I can’t be alone.
To show every table at a show as big as this and with so many people that I have to move around and edit out when they walk in front of my camera, and its still 45 min long, well its a hard shoot and show the whole place. sorry you did not like.
Great interview
and thanks for watching
Outstanding!!!
thanks so much and thanks for watching
Tate should keep his pols to himself but never will... To fellow in charge, who then clapped at Tate's pol comment, was wearing a black T... This should have been a much classier affair - as was the original show.
He was quoting what somebody said at the outbreak of the war between the states
I thought the story was excellent. Its not a complex story, but it is a great example of show, don't tell. Plus all the political maneuvering and scheming going on, except all the politicians are different flavours of insane, homicidal warlords.
Yea I loved it to. And thanks for watching
Cool
THANKS, and thanks for watching
I have the original, from the late 70's.
Cool. And thanks for watching
Great book! The Eagle is one of my favorite Sci-fi ships
Thank You. A big Hug goes your way. Cheers
Thanks and thanks for watching
Oh... my... God... I had no idea this existed, or the Gerry Anderson store for that matter! My manual has been ordered! Damnit, the Stun Gun and Comm Lock model kit is sold out... :( I've put myself on the notification list, I really hope they restock that one. Thanks so much for the heads up!
Actually, the model kit is on Amazon for roughly the same price! Sweet!
