honestly I'd say the best way to experience the DCEU is to stop right here.... Man of Steel was great... this movie was lowkey brilliant... but... everything else from this point forward is somewhere between trash and mediocre at best. but if you absolutely must go forward... I'd say the ones most worth watching in descending order are... Wonder Woman THE Suicide Squad (NOT Suicide Squad without the "the", which was bloody awful) Shazam Shazam 2: Fury of the Gods and... scraping the absolute bottom of the barrel before you get to the stuff that is completely unwatchable... Zack Snyder's Justice League The Flash Aquaman (shit movie but at least Amber Heard looks good in it) Justice League (theatrical cut) was a complete trainwreck. I wanted to walk out of that move so goddamned bad. It just sucked. The Snyder cut fixes SOME of the stuff that was wrong with the theatrical cut, and slightly improves on some other things, but.... it also makes some things worse... notably some of the edits aren't as tight... they spent a ton of money redoing Steppenwulf and he still looks like shit... and... the original cut is long and boring and tedious and brought down by the fact that they tried to stuff too much stuff into it all at once... but the Snyder cut is much longer... so... yeah... if you're going to watch it I'd recommend cutting it up into four parts and having someone over to give you a blowjob while you're doing it, or getting high maybe, I dunno. Not a good movie, though.
Batman just killing for no reason was a big flaw though. It would have been so much better if he hadnt. Choosing to kill Superman and ultimately deciding against it would have had much more of an impact as well, if this one rule wasnt already broken. Apart from that underrated movie though
"Dicksplash" was actually Pete Ross, who became one of Clark's best childhood friends after the bus rescue. You also see him as an adult in "Man of Steel," as the manager of the IHOP that got devastated. It isn't explicitly shown in either movie, but Pete knew Clark's secret and faithfully kept it from others.
He did call Pete out in the IHOP scene in Man Of Steel when he did his reaction a couple of weeks ago. And yeah, Clark's relationship with Pete is documented pretty well in Smallville. The show was kinda cheesy. But I liked it, lol.
Bruce is right. He has no powers but he's fearless. That's why the Justice League look at him like he's crazy and give him maximum respect. He's mortal.

I came out of the theater happy enough, but it felt kind of off, editing wise. Then I saw the ultimate edition, and I really wished it could have been the version I saw in the theater. He even remarks how easy it was to push Bruce over the edge with his notes and staged disasters because it confirmed what Bruce already wanted to be true. It's something that happens in real life. Otherwise intelligent people falling for obvious scams and false information because despite the information being sensationalized or ridiculous, it confirms what the person in question wants to be true and therefore they fall for it. Same case for Batman.

Doomsday, yep. He appeared in the Death of Superman series back in 1989 or 1990. It was the first official comics I bought explicitly for investment purposes. I still remember and have my multiple unopened black bag and white bag copies as well.

In previous disaster genre movies, for example, the height of the "WTC" twin towers was thought to give them a certain advantage for durability! The scene with Bruce and Alfred talking about Superman going bad is actually way deeper than it is at first glance. Bruce is the only one that accounted for everyone in the Justice League going rogue and developed counter measures for it.

Yes, Ben Affleck is bigger and bulkier. I really like this version of Batman. He's the Batman we all wanted to see come to life straight from the pages of the comics! No other Batman actor compares. What's more, is the warehouse scene going to save Superman's mother. The fight scene with all the thugs is amazing! This is the BEST choreographed fight scene of any live-action Batman film to date! Agree 100%! As a teen I read the Batman comics of drawing legend Neal Adams, in my twenties I read Frank Miller's version of Batman and Ben Affleck is by far the best and most comic accurate version of our hero!
These movies have done what I initially said would happen by now: Age better than the Marvel movies. The MCU was grand, epic, and glorious in it's entirety as an overall panorama, but taken on their own, film-by-film, a lot of the Marvel movies were just middling efforts that were redundant and formulaic. If you saw one, you saw 'em all. The MCU movies all had the same light tone; colorful palette; overreliance on quips and one-liners; underwhelming villains; the mandatory Stan Lee cameo; and the post-credits scene that didn't always connect to the broader story in retrospect. The DC movies have more meat on their bones and heavier concepts that they wrestle with. It really is a tragedy that the #1 DC villain isn't Joker, Lex Luthor, or Darkseid- it's WB studio executives. They've damaged the Justice League more than anyone that can be found in a DC comic book.

Because no way Superman would lose to Batman first of all especially with him focused on saving his mother, and no way he would just let Batman go save his mom, he would’ve went to save his own mom to make sure she wouldn’t die with or without Batman’s help. Great movie still but it has its fair share of flaws.

Doomsday, yep. He appeared in the Death of Superman series back in 1989 or 1990. It was the first official comics I bought explicitly for investment purposes. I still remember and have my multiple unopened black bag and white bag copies as well.

What's more, is the warehouse scene going to save Superman's mother. The fight scene with all the thugs is amazing! This is the BEST choreographed fight scene of any live-action Batman film to date! Hands down!

Agree 100%! As a teen I read the Batman comics of drawing legend Neal Adams, in my twenties I read Frank Miller's version of Batman and Ben Affleck is by far the best and most comic accurate version of our hero!
These movies have done what I initially said would happen by now:
Age better than the Marvel movies. The MCU was grand, epic, and glorious in it's entirety as an overall panorama, but taken on their own, film-by-film, a lot of the Marvel movies were just middling efforts that were redundant and formulaic. If you saw one, you saw 'em all. The MCU movies all had the same light tone; colorful palette; overreliance on quips and one-liners; underwhelming villains; the mandatory Stan Lee cameo; and the post-credits scene that didn't always connect to the broader story in retrospect.
The DC movies have more meat on their bones and heavier concepts that they wrestle with. It really is a tragedy that the #1 DC villain isn't Joker, Lex Luthor, or Darkseid- it's WB studio executives. They've damaged the Justice League more than anyone that can be found in a DC comic book.
