There are fans who believe Nux actually made it to the real Valhalla due to his sacrifice. Nux repeatedly tries to get himself killed to get to "Valhalla", which is wanting glory in death for himself. He's successful in his fourth attempt because he sacrifices himself for what he loves (which is Capable, the red head, and his newly formed friends). In ancient Nordic tradition, dying in a Heroic Sacrifice makes you one of the Worthy Dead to go to Valhalla. In fact, there are a few people who noted that the Vuvalini can be seen as the film's version of the Valkyrie and noted the area where Nux crashes into looks like a gate.

He nailed it, too. He's up there with Heath Ledger for being cast in roles that I found to be odd choices until I actually saw the movie and realized that they were perfect.

One of the absolute best action films of all time, and one of my favorites. When it’s available to watch, I strongly recommend watching the prequel that recently came out: “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.” It is an awesome film that shows the start of her journey when she’s taken as a kid, leading up to her getting her start at the citadel. Because Furiosa is younger in this film (starts as a kid and is eventually in her teens or 20’s), she’s played by two younger actresses (including Anya Taylor Joy), and both actresses do a fantastic job. Chris Hemsworth (Thor) also plays one of the main villains in it and is excellent in the film. I’ve seen people bitching and moaning about things they didn’t like about the movie, and at least 90-95% of those complaints are bullshit. It’s an awesome film; definitely check it out.
Besides Fury Road and Furiosa, there are three other Mad Max films, all three of which were made a long while before Fury Road, which is the fourth installment in the series. They are, in order, “Mad Max” (originally released in 1979), “Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior” (typically known in the U.S. just as “The Road Warrior”), and “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome” (featuring Tina Turner as one of the main antagonists). These films definitely have a lower budget than Fury Road, but with the little they had, they still pulled off some amazing and intense scenes, especially in the first two of these three. The third movie is very different from the other two and not quite as intense, but it still has its good moments and is still worth watching. In these three films, Max was played by a young Mel Gibson. For “Fury Road,” they had to recast the Max character, since Max wasn’t planned to have been a lot older by that point in the story and so much time had passed since the earlier films.

I’d love to hear more of your takeaways! Your thoughts after watching this made my heart grow three sizes ❤️ One of my favorite movies of all time (and one of the handful of films I consider perfect) and it was an absolute pleasure watching you enjoy it ❤️

The original trilogy is a cult classic, but its not a bad way to start by starting with Fury Road. This movie stands on its own.

Decided to watch fury road with you and right after watched the New Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga right after.
    It's a must watch.

honestly I thought Furiosa was kind of a let down. Still a good movie, but, nowhere near Fury Road's level of intensity and brilliance.

@@nooneofconsequence1251 doesn't have to be aggressively intense. It's a backstory & more of a lore & world building piece

I've been watching your channel a good while now, and you've done some of my favorite movies. But the one movie I saw the most growing up was the movie that inspired this one: mad max 2, the road warrior. Seriously would love to see you check it out. Old school hidden gem

    1. This movie is *brilliant* , highly recommend watching the original trilogy with Mel Gibson. They provide some context for Max's history and are just great movies overall that make you more invested
    2. This movie legetimately makes me feel *parched* every time I watch it. Really makes you appreciate having drinkable water whenever you please
    Fun fact:
The actor who plays Immortan Joe, Hugh Keays-Byrne, also played Toecutter who was the main villain of the *original* Mad Max movie

32:26 yes blood donors are very valuable. I encourage any one to donate if they can physically meet the requirements. Have a good meal and make sure you’re hydrated, you’ll be fine and save up to three lives with each donation

Furiosa was great and its a damn shame it didn't do well in the box office. Miller said he wanted to keep making MM films as long as he's able to.

They showed it in Furiosa also. They'll bring it back somehow, just to trash it again.
