    Very helpful video. I played last season in a pair of Ubersonic 2’s and realized when I was looking for new shoes that I loved the bootie construction but needed something with better padding and support. These seem to be a great option.

    I just tried them. I did feel a lot of forefoot cushioning, but not so much in the heel though. They are also a bit short as well. I tried 10 size and normally I use 9.5 or 10, but these are a bit on the shorter side.

    Dr. Zach! Huge fan of your videos! I was wondering which shoes would you recommend for hard court sliders? I always end up with holes on the side and the toe area, which gets pretty annoying.

    • @FootDoctorZach

      Thanks! I’ve found that yonex eclipsion 3, Asics court ff2 are the most resistant , vapor cage 4 also has great durability on the medial toe box but is very bulky , and the adidas SCB has a nice tread covering in that area as well

    I greatly appreciate your reviews, especially the look inside. I am a pickleball player who had lapiplasty bunion surgery, i wear the new balance and my foot is not happy. Esp the ball of my foot and the tongue just aggravates the plates. I like the idea of the extra padding in ball area of these, but i thought i’d ask you want you’d suggest. The other thing, i am finding these hard to get here in the US.

      @josephduchene5849 3 года назад

      @@chrisgriffiths8964 I'm not an expert, but maybe get a shoe that has a clay court version? The softer rubber and tread design will help with slipping. Solecourt boost has some serious tread as well.
      Since the FF2 is designed for hardcourt sliding, it's probably even more slick than most shoes on damp courts.

  • @reklaw432

    I normally wear an 8.5, but felt my toes were hitting the end of the shoe in this model. The 9 felt good except for the upper creasing that you mentioned. Is that something that will go away with time, or should I continue looking for another shoe? My wife and I are starting to play more tennis and need to find decent shoes. I have a difficult time with wide feet, a higher than average arch and instep, and a outer heel to inner ball contact when running. Thanks for your videos!

    • @FootDoctorZach
      @FootDoctorZach  3 года назад +1

      That crease is a real pain, I’m not sure if it ever goes away 100% but adding an orthotic to the shoe should help- if you go with the blushield 5 in the same size that would help as would the SoleCourt boost or Asics court ff2 👍👍

    I know I always ask this and you are always gracious enough to answer...but how does it compare to Nike GP Turbo? I like that shoe (curent playing show because of the padding) but would love a shoe almost exactly like it that was a smidge more wide. But not as wide as the BlueShield 4 which my foot swam around in...even with 2 pairs of socks... Is the Fly 3 that shoe? :)

    • @FootDoctorZach
      @FootDoctorZach  3 года назад +1

      I’m not really sure if any shoe is going to be that similar to the GP turbo because Nike owns that technology - the blushield fly has a nice foam stack but it’s still a unique shoe- it is less wide than the 5’s and with a bouncier feel but it’s a hard question
