Man your content is gold, so useful! Just wondering if these would be good after getting inner foot pain from the hardness of the arch supports in the Solematch Bounces?
hey doc, just heard from you that the Ubersonic 4 is out. I was about to reorder a Vapor X when I checked out some different pairs (highlights : Ubersonic 2, Ubersonic 4, Vapor X Air Max 95). I like the fact that with Vapor X i haven't had any injuries, generally i like them a lot considering the design but they feel slow on launching speed into the next rally-sprint. I was wondering if transitioning to any of the other I mentioned will increase the speed without sacrificing significantly the durability of the shoe, and protection of the foot/ankle. *on a side note: i'm loving my Ultraboost running shoes (after the original EnergyBoost release never looked back) so much that I feel like I would like the Tennis-version of them. Thanks!
The vapor x is alittle flexible on the push off so either the 2’s or 4’s will be a good choice but the uppers on the 95 MAY be a good compromise too as they may hold your foot a tad better than the vapors do giving the shoe alittle more rigidity- I have a pair on the way to try so I can’t say for sure but in terms of first step I think the U2’s are probably the fastest
@@FootDoctorZachprobably not, it's not because of the shoe itself, it's because i just bought a pair of gp turbos, and i really like them. PS your review on the gp turbos was really helpful, thanks🙂
@@FootDoctorZach i feel like they really tried to release something that won't make people go back to the ubersonic 2's. I follow very closely the basketball sneaker world and lightstrike seems like a hit or a miss depending on the model or implementation, so I was really curious with this model donde I saw them in Tsitsipas feet a couple of weeks ago. Let's see how it compares with the new Nike Vapors. Great interview with Tweener Head, btw!!
@@FootDoctorZach I appreciate your feedback. You nailed every aspect of the review, by the way. There's so much that is good about this shoe, but they are quite thin in the forefoot. I put them on and off a number of times, and you confirmed my main concern. I'll have to return them. Any suggestions for a beefier, more cushioned tennis shoe? I've tried a lot of shoes but haven't found anything yet that I think will do the job. Thanks again!
@@FootDoctorZach they are definitely a step in the right direction from adidas taking good qualities from other shoes and the past ubersonics and the chunky herring bone meant for sliding reminds me of the solution speeds
Thanks! Hard courts for sure until the clay tread comes out- comparing the 2’s and 4’s is tough because they fit diffferent styles - the 2’s more for MPH/KPH raw speed, the 4’s better for quick side to side movement
Thanks for watching- yeah these are the traxion socks which are great while you’re playing but because of the compression are annoying for just walking around before and after playing - they have an amazing grip though too so I’d recommend them for playing and just get them off right after to avoid the annoyance
Another update after playing for 5-6 hours in the US4. A bit of a disappointment for me who loved the US3. IMO, the 4s are less cushy and they have been giving me some pain under the ball of my one foot. I also think that the inner sole is more slick so I have to tie the shoes super tight to prevent the foot from sliding in the shoe when stopping. Hopefully the shoe will grow on me...
Merry Christmas! I just rolled my ankle in this shoe when sliding which is a first for me. I have never been close to rolling in my ASICS GR8 but the outsole of that shoe is a lot less grippy than the Adidas US4. What is the most stable shoe that you have tested?
I am actually quite disappointed with the Uber 4s. I also got them the day they came out and played a few practice matches and wasn’t impressed. But my biggest disappointment came in last weekend where I chose to play my ladder finals in them. This was a big match for me with trophy and money on the line. I had amazing time with my retired Ubersonic 3 and they were my top 3 tennis shoes ever so I put my trust in the version 4. By the time I got to the third set of my match, my toes felt like I’m kicking a concrete wall every time I stop. I had to really limit my movement and couldn’t set my feet for my shots which likely caused errors. Needles to say I lost. Not sure what forefoot and toe box changes they made but for all the benefits I had with the 3s, I see nothing but faults with the 4s. Maybe the made them too wide and I’m used to medium to narrow toe box shoes that have my foot gradually slow down instead of slamming into the front foot wall. Anyone else had bad experience like me?
I have the same issue sliding forward… mine are still relatively new and don’t think they are quite broken in. If yours got better with breakin, would love to know.
@@FootDoctorZach I switched to them from my meh Ubersonic 3. Got flat feet with almost no arc, but surprisingly I didn’t need orthodic insoles at all with the Revolt 3 as it’s more wide. Pretty stable and speedy shoe which shocked me. No booty construction nor gimmicks, just a generic good pair of shoes from my experience.
I loved the original adidas adizero ubersonics, haven’t been able to find a replacement, I use a custom orthotic. Help! I need shoes for pickleball and can’t find a shoe that works as well as the original ubersonics did for tennis.
Great Review Doc, I just have a quick question. From your review these seem very similar to the Yonex Fusion Rev 4. Which one would you prefer between them?
Might go for a future colorway of this shoe! This one looks great, but I don't think I could pull it off ;). Would you say this shoe is more stable than the Ubersonic 2? I love the 2, but I feel like I could do better for stability. Will be testing out the sole court boost soon.
Yeah I got some interesting looks playing in them 😂 but yes the 4’s are much more stable in the mid and rear foot with that cradling heel I never felt like I coming close to rolling even on the suicide test
I think in terms of a light basketball shoe for outdoor courts it would be good- just might not last as long with that thin forefoot- but it would certainly be nimble enough
Hi Zach, thank you for all your videos. Its hard for me to find the perfect tennis shoe so i really appreciate the. One thing thats important for me and I m not sure I understood correctly from the video. Is the shoe bad for people with high arches, or its bad cause it has a high arch. Thats the main problem I had with the 3s and the solecourt boosts since my left foot has a low arch. Thank you again
Bad for people with a high arch due to the lack of forefoot cushion so over time it will bottom out- for a minimalist shoe they actually have decent arch support
Great review Doc!!!Do you think that the all court sole can also be suitable for an artificial grass field or I have to wait for the clay sole?thank you....Hello from Italy
With the more flexible midsole these flex pretty good at their breakpoints in the forefoot so if you’re looking for a more forgiving feel these are great- they are a tad stiff out of the box though so be aware of the break in period
Wow. I also have the Ubersonic 2 and Ubersonic 3. I also preferred the Ubersonic 2 over the 3. I love the Ubersonic 2 and the speed of it and I still have another brand new pair in the box. I am just checking out what the difference is with the Ubersonic 4.
This shoe is so light, i might able to use slightly thicker custom made insole and be ok. My doctor uses FootMaxx company to make the custom insoles. but they have thicker more cushioned version and thinner lighter version with less cushion. I have been using the thinner version and have been very happy with it. But if Uber4 is so close to the ground with thinner cushion, i maybe better off with thicker custom insole ?? What do you think doc ?
I’d first put the ones you have in there, see how they do and then decide if you want to switch - if you have something comfortable now I wouldn’t go changing yet
Is it too narrow on the forefoot compared to the solecourt boost? I am thinking of getting these but I got an average/a bit wider forefoot. I wear 46 eur. Should I go for the 46 2/3 you think?
Hey Doc! First off, thanks for the awesome in depth videos. I wanted to get your advice. I am a vapor x fly knit user, but lately I’ve noticed my big toe on right foot is starting to bother me (guessing from the chunk of rubber) so I am looking to find a replacement. I’m not a huge fan of the standard vapor x’s however. Thoughts? Foot isn’t super wide or narrow
Thanks! I’d go with the GP turbo if you want to stay with Nike or the solution speed ff2 if you want to venture outside Nike - adidas Ubersonic 4 is also a good competitor for the vapor x just with a less forgiving upper, but better on- court performance
Hi Zach what do you think can be done as a quick fix for the thin fore foot midsole ? It hurts. What type of orthotics or modification do you recommend?
Doc, i think i know why it felt so much higher in the heel, it maybe cause more pronounced heel to toe drop in the cushion in this shoes. so at first my feet may have noticed that as feeling higher in the heel. what do you think ?
Hey Zach - so much great content on your channel - thanks!! I’ve tried on 15 different pairs of shoes trying to find something that fits and come down to the Ubersonic 4 and Nike Court Zoom NXT. Ubersonics feel great apart from that crease! How confident can I be that it will go following break in as it’s a killer walking around the house (got the Parlee model which seems a different upper material to the ones tested)? Nike’s are really comfortable out the box and your review was positive but I’ve read the lace eyelets can be fragile. Any first hand experience?
Thanks doc! great review as always. I bought this ubersonic in japan, it turns out that they're not true to size. My wilson amplifeel 2.0 is 11.5 (29.5 JP size) and I need to move up to 12 (30.0 JP size) for this ubersonic 4. Will test it on court this week 😁👍
Thanks! That’s really interesting as I found the Ubersonic 4 to have a longer break in than the Amplifeel but to be boxier in the toebox than the Amplifeel - great feedback thanks!
@@FootDoctorZach anyway, I have the flattest feet on earth. Do you have any recommendations for arch support insole or anything that can help? I don't feel any pain now but I'm afraid it will start changing my feet form that will cause a lot of problems in the future.
For over the counter orthotics I made a video on it here: ruclips.net/video/pojJQ-HBYpU/видео.html or if you have a really flat or painful flatfoot and over the counter doesn’t work then I’d look into getting into custom
Thanks for the thorough review. I’m loving your videos. I’m a recent convert to U2’s having worn both U3s and SoleCourt Boost. Would you say these are closer to the U2 or U3? I’m guessing the 2’s won’t be returning (which is a shame) so it may have to be the U4 from now on. Thanks.
Thanks! So they fit like the 3’s - tad more boxy in the forefoot so not as aerodynamic as the 2’s but more than the 3’s - much more feel than the 3’s and more secure than the 2’s
I’ve had these shoes for about 3-4 months now, playing 3-4 times a week, and there is a hole in the toe part, is that too soon for a tear or is it normal for this shoe?
That seems about the shelf life of the midsole but if it’s the uppers that may be a bit soon- just depends on your foot type but that seems on the quicker end of normal for wear - but not far off ( 4 months is my go to for heavy wear)
Doc, after wearing this shoes for 2 months, i am getting some Toe jamming in front of the shoes. This can be bit painful since i have bit of arthritis in my toe joint. I didn't have this issue with Yonex eclipsion original. Did you think Uber 4 had narrow toe box ? or narrow front of the shoes ? I am trying to loosen up the shoelace in the front of the shoe and see if that helps
It’s a shallow toe box from bottom to top that could be it but it also may be because they are breaking down and not holding your foot in properly anymore
Did you ever try the Ubersonic 1's? I absolutely loved those and was a bit disappointed by the "sock" redesign in the 2's. Just wondering how you would rate the 1's against the 4's if you ever had tried them!
If I remember correctly those had the plastic in the heel but mesh uppers and a 3 piece tongue almost like the old feathers - TBH i think those were the better shoe out of all 4
7:59 That is my main concern. I have pain on that area so this shoe is not an option for me. I'm currently using the solution speed ff 2, but the feel mucho slower than the first generation. My ball of my feel is in pain after my morning jogs (btw, im changing my running shoes), but not after my afternoon games, so i am looking for a speedy, decent cushioned shoe. Im thinking about the lotto mirage 100 and the vapor pros. Any thoughs?
They’re measured by the number of holes and your foot size - I have charts linked in my lace video - I couldn’t tell you specifics without physically measuring
Doc, loving this shoe so far. But only negative is the fact that Shoelaces on top is digging into top of my foot and causing some discomfort after a while. Is there a way to alleviate this ? I am not sure those other shoelaces you mentioned like round ones would work with this shoe with that new lacing system ?? Would you recommend i switch out the shoelaces ? would that help ?
I’d either try a fatter lace or do a box lace where you skip an eyelet on both sides where the pain is, or your can put felt or foam padding under the tongue
Dooooc ! What's up doc ? Umm asking if you tried nike court air zoom zero? Cause Im just referring to your reviews only. I will give the shoes to my father and he has a wide foot like you. Please advise. As I can't find other tennis shoes here. thank you sooooo much for your help
Hello, I have hammertoes, and I just bought this pair of shoes at size 8.5. My normal size is 8.5, but sometimes I buy size 9 because of the discomfort some shoes cause me. Do you think this shoe can cause discomfort/not fit well? I use special orthotics. Thanks!
Hey zach, i’ve been using the barricades and loved them. I wanna switch it up and try the ubersonics cause they have some good colorways, is the fitment similiar to the barricade i have a wide foot
New to the channel, really enjoying the reviews thanks! I’m looking for a light fast shoe with comfort but have a narrow foot. Looking between the ubersonic 4 and vapor pros. Which do think would suit best? Thanks again!
In terms of orthotic I have a video on that you can check out- met pads I like silpos, padding I usually just get Spenco foam or neoprene by the roll it’s pretty cheap
Is there a type of shoe out there that would be better built for achilles tendonitis? and / or good ankle stability? or are insoles more important i.e. orthotics? thanks!
I am gonna get ubersonic 3s coz they are the best shoes available here in india. If I have never tried the 2s then do you think I’d be happy with the 3s? Like are they good in the absolute sense even if they are relatively not as good as the 2s.
I’m not a huge fan of the Ubersonic 3’s in general - they really a complete opposite shoe from the 2’s - if you comment on this thread the shoes that are available to you I may be able to give you some recommendations
@@novakjainabhin hie I'm from Mumbai, I would suggest you to buy shoes from Asics, any of the premium adidas tennis shoes or even ubsesonic 3s do not even stand ground (except barricade for its durability) in terms of the comfort, durability and stability offered by Asics Court FF2 or Gel Resolution 8, just go to any Asics store and try wearing any one of these models, I bet you'll be in complete awe of it as even I switched from adidas to Asics 2 years ago just cause of these reasons!😁 Little background : I have tried and tested adidas barricade 2018, gel resolution 7 , adidas ubsesonic 3s, asics court ff2. Court ff2 stood out for me as an all round shoe.
They are durable, you can check out the durability tests in the video to see more but they won’t last for 2-3 years most tennis shoes break down between 4-12 months depending on how much they are used
I think that’s a good assessment- they are light like the vapors with better support and have the wide heel and strong upper like the ff2 - I would try and hold out for the clay treads as the flat herringbone may slip a bit on clay but I think for very good clay you could use them
Great Vid! Do you think that I can play with this outsole on clay as well? Because I would love to buy this shoe but I'm not sure if it gets slippery on clay...
I wanted to ask, I have a bunyion on my right foot, also flat normal width feet, would these suit me? Also with the bunyion would I need to generally go up a size to accomdate it? I do notice within 30 secs if the shoe doesn't work, starts to throb almost immediately, if not these what would you suggest? I appreciate the reply, I also wear custom orthos? I am also normally a 12 US size..
i have a flat foot, i’ve been using the vapor x’s, but i can’t handle the pain anymore. so i recently ordered the solecourt boosts (which is coming soon) in hope for a better shoe since they have a higher arch, and i can’t get custom insoles yet. are they these good for flat wide feet too?
Yep the boosts are, they are much heavier than the X and bulkier so make sure you give them some time to get used to- the arch also takes some time to break in
When you say true to size, do you mean your brannock shoe size, or your court shoe size (brannock + half size)? I have a slightly wide forefoot due to lack of an arch. I'm a 6.5 brannock, but wondering if I should size up to 7. Thanks!
i would say these are pretty cushioned for a lighter shoe in the midfoot but in the forefoot i think the Babolat Jet Mach 2, nike vapor X, NB 996 are more cushioned as is the eclipsion 3 even though its on the border of a medium weight shoe- sorry didn’t see this comment until now

Man your content is gold, so useful! Just wondering if these would be good after getting inner foot pain from the hardness of the arch supports in the Solematch Bounces?
Thanks! These aren’t any sort of recovery shoe so I’d go with something more plus like the diadoras or similar
@@FootDoctorZach Thanks so much! Will try them along with some GP Turbo's - can't resist after your video on how comfy they are!
Adidas Tennis seriously rocks!
Do you like the colorway?
@@FootDoctorZach Well Im split on it, but, dont we already dress boringly enough outside of the courts? I think some flashy sportswear does no harm
I tend to agree- I like some of the more in your face designs just because I wear blue scrubs or solid polo shirts every day for work
hey doc, just heard from you that the Ubersonic 4 is out.
Nice review👍
Thanks! Do you think you’ll pick up a pair?
@@FootDoctorZachprobably not, it's not because of the shoe itself, it's because i just bought a pair of gp turbos, and i really like them. PS your review on the gp turbos was really helpful, thanks🙂
Waiting for this!!! 😎😎
How do you like them?
@@FootDoctorZach i feel like they really tried to release something that won't make people go back to the ubersonic 2's. I follow very closely the basketball sneaker world and lightstrike seems like a hit or a miss depending on the model or implementation, so I was really curious with this model donde I saw them in Tsitsipas feet a couple of weeks ago. Let's see how it compares with the new Nike Vapors. Great interview with Tweener Head, btw!!
Thanks that was fun to do! Yeah I agree completely that they wanted the attention on a new shoe rather than a throwback model
Really great review. Just found my new shoes for pickleball lol
Id love to see you compare these to the Asics Gel Resolutions or Court FF 2!
That’s a good idea 💡 I’ll do it over on the shorts channel this weekend
Great, incredibly detailed review. I'm 230lbs. Am I gonna crush these? I use a custom full foot orthodic.
Thanks!!
Yeah unfortunately- the orthotic will help but you’ll still be crushing the forefoot

I have been excited for this test you should do a after a month review because I have heard light strike bottoms out really quickly
I was thinking of that as well as it’s nice now but maybe not so much later- what did you think of the shoes initially from the playtest?
@@FootDoctorZach they are definitely a step in the right direction from adidas taking good qualities from other shoes and the past ubersonics and the chunky herring bone meant for sliding reminds me of the solution speeds
Yep for sure- I actually felt like these were a more forgiving solution speeds
Great review! Would you recommend them over the ubersonics 2? What surface do you think they will play best on?
Thanks! Hard courts for sure until the clay tread comes out- comparing the 2’s and 4’s is tough because they fit diffferent styles - the 2’s more for MPH/KPH raw speed, the 4’s better for quick side to side movement
If you compare them to SoleCourt Boost?
I will be doing that sometime in the future after I play in them for a bit
I loved the 2 and echo your point 100%. Looking to try the 4.
🤙
Zach you do great reviews. What do you rate these for sole durability out of 5? Thanks :)
Could you review the Lotto Mirage 100, they are doing a lot more sponsors in the US and many juniors will be curious to see how they play.
I’ll be reviewing them during the wintertime for sure
I miss my Uborsonic 2s
They’re still for sale here and there
Thanks for the review. I like the color. I think it’s unique and it’s good. Did you like the adidas socks you were wearing? any good?
Thanks for watching- yeah these are the traxion socks which are great while you’re playing but because of the compression are annoying for just walking around before and after playing - they have an amazing grip though too so I’d recommend them for playing and just get them off right after to avoid the annoyance
@@FootDoctorZach got it, thanks. They are pretty expensive too. Even comparing to Thorlo socks.
Yep that’s for sure a downside - but they will last a while
Another update after playing for 5-6 hours in the US4.
I’ve actually been liking mine more as I’ve used them but you’re right that forefoot is thiiiinnnnn
Merry Christmas!
I just rolled my ankle in this shoe when sliding which is a first for me. I have never been close to rolling in my ASICS GR8 but the outsole of that shoe is a lot less grippy than the Adidas US4.
What is the most stable shoe that you have tested?
Probably the court ff2 and solecourt boost
It took me about 3 times out to to break that weave in- but now they feel really nice - but yeah I had a similar experience
I have the same issue sliding forward… mine are still relatively new and don’t think they are quite broken in. If yours got better with breakin, would love to know.
Thanks for great review I bought these shoes for pickleball based on your review.
Hope they work well for you 👍👍
lovely video i will buy ubersonic4 How size differ from ubersonic2? can i go same size?
Thank you, yep I would go same size as the 2’s
great review. will grab a pair when non zebra colors come out!
Haha the zebra is really dividing the community
Nice content as always Doc! Have you tried the Head Revolt 3 btw?
Thanks! Not yet but I will be
@@FootDoctorZach I switched to them from my meh Ubersonic 3. Got flat feet with almost no arc, but surprisingly I didn’t need orthodic insoles at all with the Revolt 3 as it’s more wide. Pretty stable and speedy shoe which shocked me. No booty construction nor gimmicks, just a generic good pair of shoes from my experience.
Awesome, I’m pumped to try them
I loved the original adidas adizero ubersonics, haven’t been able to find a replacement, I use a custom orthotic. Help! I need shoes for pickleball and can’t find a shoe that works as well as the original ubersonics did for tennis.
Great Review Doc, I just have a quick question. From your review these seem very similar to the Yonex Fusion Rev 4. Which one would you prefer between them?
Toss up tbh
Outer sole lasted about a month and a half. MIght switch back to the K swiss Ultrashot 3.
They’ve been having all sorts of durability issues with recent colorways - something’s up
Might go for a future colorway of this shoe! This one looks great, but I don't think I could pull it off ;). Would you say this shoe is more stable than the Ubersonic 2? I love the 2, but I feel like I could do better for stability. Will be testing out the sole court boost soon.
Yeah I got some interesting looks playing in them 😂 but yes the 4’s are much more stable in the mid and rear foot with that cradling heel I never felt like I coming close to rolling even on the suicide test
do you think it would be a good outdoor basketball shoe?
nowadays basketball shoes are made for indoor use
@@FootDoctorZach Thanks!
👍👍
Great review Doc!!!Do you think that the all court sole can also be suitable for an artificial grass field or I have to wait for the clay sole?thank you....Hello from Italy
Thanks! I’m not sure id trust them on field turf/ grass/ artificial grass- I’d probably wait for the clay treads
It looks like the the bounce
Similar foam, just not as springy
How is flexibility of this shoe? It does look as if the forefoot does flex. I sometimes feel like Frankenstein in some shoes that don't flex.
Its definitely more narrow and stiffer than the SCB
I’m really considering these but have a wider foot. What do you think?
I’d probably go up 1/2 size
@@FootDoctorZach thank you!!
🤙
Is the ubersonic 4 more comfortable than the barricade and asics ff3?
WOW, you look like you are moving as well as Diego Schwartzman in those shoes.
Thanks... I wish!!
Could be hard to tell without examining
Hey Zach - so much great content on your channel - thanks!!
I’ve tried on 15 different pairs of shoes trying to find something that fits and come down to the Ubersonic 4 and Nike Court Zoom NXT.
Ubersonics feel great apart from that crease! How confident can I be that it will go following break in as it’s a killer walking around the house (got the Parlee model which seems a different upper material to the ones tested)?
Nike’s are really comfortable out the box and your review was positive but I’ve read the lace eyelets can be fragile. Any first hand experience?
Yep they’re minimalist so there’s always a chance that kind of durability can be an issue - not sure about the LE Ubersonic as I’ve never worn them
the performance seems really good, but i'm gonna wait for other colorways. the camo looks ugly for me.
It’s... distinctive.. that’s for sure
@@FootDoctorZach Designed after Wilson's BOLD edition racquets? Looks even more busy on a shoe... too busy.
There is quite a bit going on with them that’s for sure...
Thanks doc! great review as always.
Doctor, i am going to buy new laces for this shoes, but not sure how many inches these laces are ? What do you think ?
@@FootDoctorZach would some of the round lace work with this shoe lacing system ?
I would think yep
Hey Zach. Any long term thoughts on the durability of these shoes? Heard a few horror stories but some saying its fine as well
They are not durable in the long term like the solecourt boost for sure- along the line of the vapors
Dooooc ! What's up doc ? Umm asking if you tried nike court air zoom zero? Cause Im just referring to your reviews only. I will give the shoes to my father and he has a wide foot like you. Please advise. As I can't find other tennis shoes here. thank you sooooo much for your help

Hello,
I have hammertoes, and I just bought this pair of shoes at size 8.5. My normal size is 8.5, but sometimes I buy size 9 because of the discomfort some shoes cause me. Do you think this shoe can cause discomfort/not fit well? I use special orthotics.
Thanks!
Hey zach, i’ve been using the barricades and loved them. I wanna switch it up and try the ubersonics cause they have some good colorways, is the fitment similiar to the barricade i have a wide foot
i have a wide foot and the ubers are good
New to the channel, really enjoying the reviews thanks! I’m looking for a light fast shoe with comfort but have a narrow foot. Looking between the ubersonic 4 and vapor pros. Which do think would suit best? Thanks again!
I’d rather have the vapor pro personally but they’re both decent shoes - thank you
Thanks Doc, I was leaning that way so vapors it is!
Let me know how they do for you
Being that the forefoot cushioning is pretty thin, do you recommend a aftermarket insole with a thick front and a thin back?
Great review by the way! Thanks for taking the time to create this video!
Thanks! Yes I would put something in there in terms of an orthotic/ added padding/ met pad to stop that forefoot bottoming out
@@FootDoctorZach Any recommendations? Brand? Model?
In terms of orthotic I have a video on that you can check out- met pads I like silpos, padding I usually just get Spenco foam or neoprene by the roll it’s pretty cheap

Is there a type of shoe out there that would be better built for achilles tendonitis? and / or good ankle stability? or are insoles more important i.e. orthotics? thanks!
Insoles are a big part of that but I like adidas solecourt boost for any heel pain / ankle instability issues due to the foam, shank, and wide flange
I am gonna get ubersonic 3s coz they are the best shoes available here in india. If I have never tried the 2s then do you think I’d be happy with the 3s? Like are they good in the absolute sense even if they are relatively not as good as the 2s.

@@FootDoctorZach Thx Zach, great video
The width compares to cage 4 please. Which one is wider?
The U4 is a boxier / wider toebox and has a wider midfoot - it isn’t as plush though so will take a bit to break in but overall U4 wider in my opinion
@@FootDoctorZach I’m waiting for for a new color, I saw another yellow one. It’s great
Oh that’s cool I didn’t see that one
Is it durable? Can i wear it for 2-3 years?
They are durable, you can check out the durability tests in the video to see more but they won’t last for 2-3 years most tennis shoes break down between 4-12 months depending on how much they are used
How about the Nike Air Zoom Vapor Cage or Asics court ff 2? Will they be more durable?
All 3 have very similar durability profiles - all will wear around 4-12 months, the Ubersonics treads maybe a little sooner
so, is this shoe something between the asics court ff 2 and the nike vapor X? Do you recommend these for clay courts?
I think that’s a good assessment- they are light like the vapors with better support and have the wide heel and strong upper like the ff2 - I would try and hold out for the clay treads as the flat herringbone may slip a bit on clay but I think for very good clay you could use them
Great Vid! Do you think that I can play with this outsole on clay as well? Because I would love to buy this shoe but I'm not sure if it gets slippery on clay...
Thanks! Yeah ive played with them on clay several times and had good success- just get ready to slip a bit on drier clay

So these are a boxier forefoot so maybe 1/2 size up would do well- the solematch bounce may also be a good shoe to try in your regular size
i have a flat foot, i’ve been using the vapor x’s, but i can’t handle the pain anymore. so i recently ordered the solecourt boosts (which is coming soon) in hope for a better shoe since they have a higher arch, and i can’t get custom insoles yet. are they these good for flat wide feet too?
Yep the boosts are, they are much heavier than the X and bulkier so make sure you give them some time to get used to- the arch also takes some time to break in
@@FootDoctorZach is the ubersonic 4 another good option for flat feet?
I think so- it’s light but has a pretty robust arch
When you say true to size, do you mean your brannock shoe size, or your court shoe size (brannock + half size)? I have a slightly wide forefoot due to lack of an arch. I'm a 6.5 brannock, but wondering if I should size up to 7. Thanks!
Court shoe size for sure
Doc, how is this compared to the solecourt boost? From a person who used ubersonic 3 and developed plantar fasciitis?
SCB is a completely different shoe, much more maximalist- check out both teardowns and you’ll see what I mean
This or Vapor pro?
I’d personally rather play in the U4
Thank u zach!
👍👍
Sre there any other sneaks with same or better support and lightness but with more cushioning?
i would say these are pretty cushioned for a lighter shoe in the midfoot but in the forefoot i think the Babolat Jet Mach 2, nike vapor X, NB 996 are more cushioned as is the eclipsion 3 even though its on the border of a medium weight shoe- sorry didn’t see this comment until now
