This is the first proper edf I had when it came out with the out runner 🤙🏻 it’s the first one I pull out the hanger when I haven’t flown in the of season. Beautiful well mannered plane that just makes u smile great fun ❤️🇬🇧
I have the old version and it also sounds very nice, it was the reason I bought it. My only EDF jet. Funny how this version also wants to yaw and tip up on take off.
LOVE mine. This was my first edf. I recently put the high performance motor in and it is a good improvement. Just do the tail sit test for cg and your good to go. Great info on the RC group forum. Good flying James!
Hi there James (and the rest of you). I always like your flying -and the footage overall. Oh yes, motionrc eu has sent me a lot of stuff... Greetings from Finland.
Very nice jet,James, been thinking about this for my edf maiden flight, have the FW A-4 and an F-4,but don't want them to be my first jets to fly.Thank you!
It's always a hard question to answer as all grass is different. But many fly their F-86's off grass for sure. If you can fly other 80mm off your patch, you should be able to do this one
Just bought the edf with the esc. Wanted to hear the sound. Putting in the other guys 80mm F-16, just hoping I can throttle calibrate with the freewing 100a esc with my flysky. Have problems with the smaller ones
Is there another option out there? I see one site selling one with a 3658 1857kv motor 12 blade and 100 A. Are ther 3 versions. This one, the 1857 one and the HP one??
I have no flight parks withing a hour of where I live, I can only do grass landings at school fields, any suggestions of how to upgrade to a better plane with smaller landing gear?
So I see you have the 10 channel Rx plus a satellite Rx, not gonna lie that 10 channel Rx looks kinda crazy near all those servo wires lol which leads to my question, you have the Satellite Rx forward in front of the battery does the signal from the Tx only go to the Satellite Antennas? Or does it go to both the 10 channel Rx antennas and the satellite antennas? Also can we get a video on mounting the Satellite Rx, like where to best mount the antennas to get the best coverage
@@MotionRC Awesome thanks because I just bought like 3 Satellite receivers and 3 10 channel receivers I just wanna make I get the antenna placement right for best signal reception 🙌🏽🙌🏽
@@kingrc6865 I doubt we'll have the video in time for you but what you are trying to do is mount the satellite as far from the receiver as you can, and then you want to tape all 4 antennas down in 4 different planes all 90 degrees from each other. Obviously being mindful of noise like touching wires, or carbon reinforcement. And also making sure your LIPO never can block all 4 antennas in a given aircraft position relative to your TX.
I really want to work under you and learn about rc aeroplanes but the only problem is am from another country but if i could get a chance then i will definitely work with you to learn 😄😍...love from India 🇮🇳
Nice flight! I just picked up a used one. My wife asked, "what does the Native American picture mean on the jet?" I tried to Google it, but nothing came up. Any guesses why its on there?
It's the symbol of the 335th Fighting Squadron called the Chiefs (still active today). The Chiefs flew P-80 Shooting Stars out of Andrews AFB, Maryland, until 1949, when they moved to Langley AFB, Virginia, and received the F-86 Sabrejet, which they took to Korea on 10 November 1950. By the end of the Korean War the 335th led all squadrons with 218.5 kills and had become a part of the "MiG Killer" legend. The Chiefs also added 12 aces to its rolls, more than the combined total from the 334th and 336th. The Chiefs remained in the Far East until 8 December 1957, when they moved to Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina, and converted to the F-100 Super Sabre. In May of 1958, the Chiefs were sent to Eglin AFB, Florida, and tasked with operational testing of the new F-105 Thunderchief for the next three years. In May of 1959, the 335th became the first squadron in the Air Force to receive the F-105 Thunderchief, and the transition from F-100s to F-105s began. The squadron returned to Seymour Johnson AFB in November of 1961.
It shows that the elevator should line up flush with the back of the fuselage (behind the rudder). When you line the elevators up with the fuse part they now have the up elevator you want for your neutral. Conversely, If you line the elevators up with the rest of the horizontal stabilizer than you wouldn't have any up
@@MotionRC LOL!!! One of my favorite jets because of it's ability to wheelie with the right CG; balancing the jet so if you push down on the tail as the jet sits on landing gear the tail comes up very slowly. ruclips.net/video/RquFUXuGShQ/видео.html
I can definitely tell you the stock motor and Esc in the Freewing F-86 is completely Gutless and Anemic for Power take every inch of geo tech runway to get lift off...Every Retract on mine pulled out of its pocket from lack of glue or just poor quality glue. the nose wheel retract grub screw came loose and i lost steering on it. This is one of the worst problem prone EDF,s ive ever purchased new from Motion Rc its an absolute Lemon. and the 64mm Freewing F-22 was a Complete Slug as well....So Far im not at all impressed with Freewing Products out of 4 of them wish i had returned them all for a Refund.
Love my F/86, always gets compliments at the field when I bring her out
Love that sound of engines getting far with such a big speed!

Love the new upgraded versions!! Sounds great and has gobs of power!!
I love the "Tonnes of room for Activities" when referring to the battery bay lol. Nice flight, oldie but a goodie!
James. Great to see you take the vintage aircraft out for a spin. Love the scale details on this model. 👍👍😊
I've never owned the 86 but I always recommend it as a great starter edf jet!

Thanks so much for that! Much appreciated
Looks great in the air and sure sounds.good
Awesome!!!
👍😊 Oh yeah, one of those - when I grow up ..
Nice upgrades, especially with some nice retracts. Nice James 👍🏻
She still sounded good on the outrunner but the inrunner sure has woken her up! Mine is night and day with the 2 motors
Very nice demonstration flight! Cant wait untill I am able to fly My standard version. Maybe an upgrade in its future!
Nice James. Smoooooth.
MRC like the High Performance F-86, My Buddy really made the OG F-86 look great in the air, Jeff in LA USA
What livery?
@@MotionRC it was just the stock livery but it really flew great and at the time the OG F-86 had the best sounding EDF too.

Great plane and video👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Nice!!
Mqn that flies sooooo much better with tge new power system!!
Really, really need a MiG-17 to battle that F-4. Tell Freewing to get on it!
Looooooove this plane!
Just ordered it
Beautiful, Would be fun to modify into an FJ3 Fury like the turbine BVM one I used to have.
So cool wish I could afford one!
Impressive looking/flying high performance Sabre! Love that greaser landing holding wheelie after touch down!
Nice Plane. Is it able to start and land in grass or has it not enaugh power?
How does it handle grass runways, no hard surface runway at my field down under?
Great flight and review James.

Adding the satellite just give your an extra 2 antennae to provide more diversity. All 4 work in unison.
We can make that video for sure

@@MotionRC okay so all 4 antennas need to point downward and not touch anything? That's what you're saying
Can this jet go unlimited vertical? If not, can a 90mm fan be put in?
Looks like a combustion turbine I liked
James, Great flying as always. How does this plane handle grass? Does it compare to the Avanti?
hard to say as I don't have a real grass field to use. But I see plenty of videos of people flying this off grass. But not all grass is created equal
@@MotionRC #truth
Can this be landed on a trimmed grass field?
Maybe a dumb question, but how fast will this go???
You need a Mig 15 up there to for some Dogfighting maneuvers.
Hi, do you guys know a 70mm edf with an TWR of over 1? I want a Jet that can go vertical right after launch.
I don't no. Thats a tough ask from an EDF. It would probably have to be a depron/epp foam construction. Wouldn't look great, but would be lighter
Maybe look at the FW Mirage 2000 high performance? It might not have the TWR ratio of over 1, but it looks capable of pulling off what you want.

What is the top speed of the f 86 HP?
can you put 2 3s turnigy 5000 in there??
Is that a jet engine in there I'm going to maybe buy the smaller 64mm version
It's an electric ducted fan. (an electric motor powering a prop inside a shroud)

Most of us fly from grass runways
Why don’t you guys show more of that?
Can't control the field we fly at. Our grass isn't really runway grass, lots of divets and holes.
Pnp??
Any adversary for this one? Ahem! Mig-15.
Maybe one day...
The book states dialing in up elevator, but doesn’t show how much? Just a cheesy pic. Anyone dial in up elevator?

Exactly who spends $325 for their first EDF?
Many. What's expensive for some is cheap for others. All relative.
