It was the second 80 mm after the intruder that freewing came out with. Whas my favorite EDF of all time because it landed so easy and it took off and landed on grass as well. I had a very aggravating experience with it. I had an old dx6i and the terminals in the battery compartment were not tight so
the transmitter shut off while the plane was in flight and it just flew away. I couldn't figure out what was going on until afterwards when I opened up the battery compartment and saw that it was loose. I actually gave up on the hobby for 2 years I was so pissed. the plane and the electronics in along with the run cam was out over 400 dollars.
Love mine. 1800kv No gyro - - it is a sweetheart 2.30/ 3 + with throttle management. 5000 6S 65C battery

80mm in the RC world, edf jets are measured by the diameter of the fan rather than by wingspan as piston driven models are. Popular fan sizes are 64mm, 70mm, 80mm, and 90mm, but they can be bigger or smaller.
