Hi Motion RC, nice flight and review, I really enjoyed. May I ask you, which receiver from futaba you are using in this setup. Thank you in advance Angel
One of my favorites but does need some improvements. Are they planning on upgrading the 1700mm A10? I'll end up buying the ARF one for 90mm and 160s apm for 8s
yeah, that system where would you put your speakers? On my P47 and P40, I cut open an area behind the wings and used glued carbon fiber board to mount a speaker. Then I cut a screen glued it in and painted it and you can't tell the difference. It's loud like I like it plus the gun sound is cool
They are cheap enough now days too. Amigine the vertical climb out with close to 7Kg thrust Edit. I've always wondered if counter rotating fans would cancel out any torque roll
Very nice flying!! I love this plane, it was the reason why I joined the US Navy in 1988.. It’s a very nice model. But, I am having very serious issues with my F-14 in the building process… When I am trying to install the rudder assembly the holes don’t line up.. I have tried just about everything. I even made a trough for the wiring to sit in. But, still the holes don’t line up properly. It is getting frustrating to work on it. I really want to get this plane done so that I can fly it around so my father can see it fly also. Even though this plane was built after he got out of the service (air force). I will keep trying to get the screws in but, I am afraid that I may break the rudder assembly. Which will make me really mad.. Anyway, very nice flying..
i imagine by now you have finished for me. The rudder holes on the inside didn't line up either. I ended up just pushing the little piece of plastic with the hole down with a toothpick while screwing it in
I would like to see if you have a step by step on setting this F-14 up. I have a 70MM F-14 from Motion RC. I would lik eto see a detailed step by step please please please.
I wanna take the highway to the danger zone 😭...any ETA on the ARF version? Don't want the schmedium fans and motors. If I'm spending that kinda money, I'm going straight for better quality stuff.
Well, another problem just popped up. I got my new batteries for this F-14. I took it out in the front yard and into the street just to taxi it around. But, only 1 of the engines is putting out thrust, and wow, it will probably fly with 1 engine. But, I would like to know what in the heck is going on. I am not a electrical guru or genius. Do you think what might be going on here?? Both of the batteries are brand new and both were charged up.. Thank you from scratching my head and pulling out my hair guy..
I am hoping someone in the comments can help me figure out how to best wire this jet. I have a 10 channel receiver, so no issues on places to plug in wires but I'm so very confused on how to set it up. First, I have been able to get everything else working, the flaps, gear, sweep wing etc. The one issue I have is I cannot get both motors turning. I get thrust out of the right side but not the left side. In my current setup, I have the 2 ESC's both running to the receiver on a Y cable and the middle wire of the ESC from the Left Motor has been disconnected as I was instructed to do from another source. The ESC's both have additional wires coming off but as far as I know these are only used from programming and I should need them to be connected to anything during normal use. I understand that it does matter in what order you connect your batteries. I have been connecting the first battery to the ESC where the middle wire was removed first and then the other battery as I was instructed to do it this way from another source. Keep in mind I don't have to use the Y cable as I have channels 9 and 10 on the receiver still open for use. I would just need to know how to mix those channels together to create the one throttle option. I was hoping to be able to get it revere thrusting once I figured out how to get both motors going forward first. Any help is greatly appreciated.
@@rgr4475 all servos need their own channels. Retracts can be on Y's, but it flies best with scale surface deflection. The power system is also lacking. I'd get a set of the new FMS 80mm's for optimum thrust.
One of my favorites but it absolutely needs some improvements.
Number 1 being those landing gear plates :p
Beautiful plane, outstanding flying, perfect landing. Nice.

@motionrc Wes awesome flight, made it look easy. Will freewing be making a upgraded model or another sized F14?
Can't wait to get mine done and maiden it
Great job Wesley 👍 you made it look easy!
Thanks 👍
Nice! My favorite!!!

Way over doing it with 90mm. Doesn't need it.
I still want to put in new 2 ESCs for 8s. I'm just trying to figure out where to put my sound system speakers. I like to pimp out jets and planes😂
What sound system are you going with. I use Model Sounds Inc. Shockwave 3.

Great plane!!
hope its landing gears will be better in its next version.
I’d love this so much 😍😍😍
Realy nice model an such incredible flight bro can you tell me your battery information of this f14?
That is wonderful, howbto learn flying rc plane like this?
Great flying but sure make it great with those landing gear plates
All u need now is a miniature Tom cruise
Is there any upgraded landing gear
Looks very cool man...😃☕️👍💡
hermoso!! de verdad esta genial!! cuando tenga uno hace un video review 😉
What is the mix to deactivate alerons when the wing's swept back?
Wes, you said you flew the standard 6 channel setup. Did you have any issues transitioning to the sweep position as some people have inferred?
Stock configuration needs updates. Better inrunner motors for starters. Like the video though. 😎👍

@@russcole5685 counter-rotation does counteract a very small torque roll. It is unnoticeable unless you are kicking out of a stall with power.
@@cwwisk thank you.
I don’t know why this model is still being sold?? It’s outrunner motors and the lack of reinforcements to the retract mounts is insane
How do you go about checking the center of gravity on the Tomcat
How much does it cost?

What’s your glasses brand?if don’t mind 😅
Heat waves from Cleetus McFarland
Can you takeoff and land that on a grass strip?
Yes feel free to look up other RUclips channels that have flown the model from grass.
Great flying Wesley! Just wanted to ask if a controller comes with the F14 or if you have to buy it separately.
Separate.
This is crazy
Only 6 channel setup?? I’m assuming the ailerons aren’t being used?
7 channel Wes misspoke when he was flying.
the eflite version is 2 times smaller with the twin 40mm
the eflite version is 2 times smaller with the twin 40mm
(Edit should probably fly these together)
Can you build a Grendizer Spazer RC model pls

Nice flying Wes. Congrats with the Motion RC deal. Skip
Thanks Skip!
I wish we could get a Tornado edf in similar spec. No offense, I like the tomcat, but I'm british so prefer the RAF's variable sweep craft.
Oh yeah I'm getting another one lol yes
Could I possibly add a 6s 6000mah battery?
It does fit and CG. But it’s better on the 5000
Where's kenny loggins in this video xD
wow - its still in use in iran xD
Looks like a rabbit flies like a turtle
not true really. i am gitting speeds of 130. now with the upgrades im going to get 150 at least!
@CaptainMax25 i respectfully acknowledge your results with upgrades... i was commenting on the stock version in the video
You should consider using a microphone next time!
Definitely not a plane to fly stock.
it flys ok stock actually, but an upgrade makes it fly a bit better.
What upgrades does it need?

wes is proving that you dont need a gyro to fly a model
Too complicated, I need a college degree to do what you did.
naw man, just a few years experience!
Motion... you need to go bigger. 80-90mm just isn't exciting enough anymore. Look at the competition.
Overpriced for a foam model
Nice plane. The jerky video made me nauseous 🤢
