@@MotionRCBeautiful aircraft, I just got mine yesterday. How come there's no video on how to program and set up your radio for this plane. Oh my gosh; what a beautiful bird Motion RC! I have always loved the look of the F9F all my life and I have an MRC 64mm fixed gear version of the Panther version that I fly the heck out of as much as I can. One little trick I did with that Panther grey/red/yellow bird was to turn it into a 4S from the original 3S you guys sold it as; tons of flight characteristics difference flying it that way! I placed one of your FW 2840-2850kv motor with a 45A ESC in it and no issues whatsoever with it! I love my Panther and someday I may very well buy your 80mm Cougar just to enjoy the gear-up and flaps contingency. You sure did a fine job of engineering on this bird MRC, everything about it looks outstanding! One thing, maybe someday you'll think about it... perhaps someday you'll design a 90mm version; just a little bit bigger but all the presence of the full scale wonder. Given that may be a fare ways off guys... what about a little more oomff with a more powerful motor as one of your upgrade options? Hell of a way to keep this 80mm bird selling like hotcakes! Just saying guys; one engineer to another, you can make it happen!
I would love to see a Panavia Tornado GR.1. Following the same general design and features that the hero fighter and your cougar have: lights, flaps, reverse thrust, etc. Another aircraft that I’d also love to see is a Sepecat Jaguar. I understand it would be pretty complex for an rc plane but I think it would sell out fast. Thanks for reading.
That was one of the best review flights i ve seen around... Very nice all around gentle flying skills... Please keep this man around for the coming reviews 👌

I would like to see it take off from grass - no flaps, to full flaps and see what's needed to get it into the air. Looks like the airframe is even a step up from my AL-37 if that is possible.
I was going to message you guys today and ask why you haven’t put a reverse thrust on a ducted fan jet. Then this video showed up on my phone. This is a great addition and should be great on a short field where you can reverse thrust and slow down your roll out. Now, how about a retro fit into existing models?
Would love to see how it would handle grass takeoffs and landings. Don't have a paved or geotextile runway where I fly and aircraft carriers are in short supply there too :)

Hey guys. I’m sorry if I seem annoying for writing this comment on another video aswell, but could you (maybe) update the 64mm f-16 with the modular wing system and JUST MAYBE more realistic gear like the f22 or f18? The modular wings could be really helpful for replacement. And not too fussed about the landing gear but would be a nice addition. But I think the modular wings would be most wanted in case of damage. Thanks.
when are we going to see a 80 or 90mm Mig-15, 17, or 19? Ive been waiting on it forever and i missed out on hobbykings version so my only hope is freewing. The 64mm mig-15 i got is very limited and not at all what this model could be!
It would be so much better if they had done the blue with yellow wings like the 64mm. Hopefully coming. I hate gray jets for orientation way out like I fly.
To make a Panther? Really wouldnt work. The panther also had a straight vertical stab instead of sloped like the Cougar. It would have to be a full new model
I loved this F9F-8 Cougar 80mm for 6 successful flights before the "ribbon balance connector" on the left wing wiggled loose during flight and I lost all control to that side -- he went down too hard. I consider the shoddy engineering on this very risky as I just described. There should be some clamp or snap to keep it fasted securely not just pressure fit. Buyer beware.
Oh ty god it not a brian phillips 😅.the man is corny Nice to meet u fam!! Love everything about this jet except the gyro. Most jets these days are very well designed, very stable and don't really need a gyro. I'm not saying you shouldn't use one, I'm just saying they don't NEED one. Something I have criticized FMS for over the last few years is forcing these gyros into their planes which are not only pointles and don't even work all that well, but they jack up prices and forces the consumer to pay for something they didn't ask for, and I'm hoping that this isn't the case with FW. I have more FW jets now than FMS and a good reason for that is because they are cheaper or better featured than their rivals, but if this is just another sub par gyro thats gonna jack up pricing, then no doubt there will be a lot of vocal customers out there to let you know about it. But, if this gyro works well and the prices don't skyrocket as a result, then all is good and the world makes sense again. 😁 Either way, can't wait to get my hands on one and test it out for myself. 😎 Really love the look of this plane and the scheme you've chosen. 🤩👏👏
Dunno how this FW gyro works, but Cougar price is rather steep compared to other single engine 80mm EDFs already. And I don't see anything wrong with FMS gyro, it already helped me save the plane and I have it wired to a switch, so I can enable/disable it at will.
There is a reason for having a gyro in it, every cougar has a very strong fishtailing movement so this gyro really is a good thing to come with if I’m being honest if not there would be complaints about that habit. I might be wrong and they might have found a way to stop it fishtailing but every cougar I have ever seen has had the issue it just seems to be caused by the airframe no matter what.
@@alexladell9039 this is the first Cougar I've seen from any manufacturer in the last 10 years, so forgive me if I'm unaware of inherent airframe flaws that causes the plane to be unstable. @@M4rkmcc21 most radio brands have their own gyro receivers or add-ons that you can use if you feel you need a gyro. You still don't get my point - including a gyro that is "optional" means that EVERYONE is now forced to pay for it even if they don't want it. The only way this could be a "win-win situation" is if a) the gyro works properly and b) the planes don't cost any extra as a result of it being included. And we can only hope that if FW continue down this path of including gyros in future releases, they don't put in places that will interfere with battery placement. I recently got the Eurofighter 90mm 8S and had to relocate the board (not a gyro) further back into the fuselage so I could place one of my packs halfway into the back of the fuse in order to get CG. This is common with a few FW jets I've had in the past where these boards or boxes get in the way and need to be moved for battery placement. Let's hope this isn't an issue with these gyros because THEY need to be properly secured and not just shoved in the back of the fuse.
Great Looking plane from Freewing....how on earth do you keep these planes quiet before release.......loved the video, great idea for the nose cone for us grass boys and girls...Well done again😀
So the only choices with this plane is to pay for a gyro i don't want or buy the ARF+ and have to buy my own power system? I see that it has the blue box in either version, which I don't want either. It's seriously not available as an ARF without the gyro? That's disappointing, to say the least. The blue box is a $25 part, the gyro is a $40 part. That's $65 worth of parts that i would be paying for simply to remove before flying. Then add a light controller, $10, I'd have to buy to run the lights once the blue box is removed, and it just seems...............
Sorry Shelby, that's just how this one went. Had we not included a gyro, comments would go the other way. We felt with our gyro, this plane flies exceptionally and will appease most flyers.
