I like that style of cast. I learned a "wade throw" technique, net and rope all on right hand and no teeth involved and can even throw while wading in water.
I'm moving to SWFL in June, I've been very curious about cast netting for bait. Thanks for the tutorial ! When I first saw you cast I thought " he's a lefty" haha ! Always something new to learn. Thanks !
Adam so wish we could use nets in CA. We pay huge amounts to bait barges that get live sardines anchovy’s mackerel and squid. A recreational trip for small boat $100
Love your videos man problem is I live in Iowa and we're only allowed a five foot net When I used to live in Florida I used to throw an eighth to twelve and bought my kids both a four foot and taught them
you mentioned freezing them? do you sell them or personal use? I would love to do this! I was one of those kids that would constantly be going fishing and catching things.
Im in Oklahoma but would love to visit south Florida if not move there. Im amazed at the size cast net you guys use. Mine is only 8 foot dia. Nice catch!
@@MovinWeightFishing learned this when I lived in Biloxi for many years, wear a pull over shirt or no shirt, when throwing a cast net!if you have a shirt with so much as one button on it,that net will find that button like a magnet!
I love watching your videos I’m a big supporter an I also wonna run a charter business so if u ever need any help I’m the man for the job I live in Houston tx an I’m going to start my own RUclips channel
hey adam watched a lot of your content, me and my friends do a lot of fresh water fishing and in a couple hours and easily catch 20-40 large mouths, with several being trophy’s(8-10lbs.) let me know if you’d be interested to come fish and video it
I’m sorry dude but taking that many baitfish in one sitting is so wrong and decimates the stocks.Imagine if everyone did that it wouldn’t be to long before yourself and the same guys that take so many start talking about how hard it is to get bait. Then you would just say oh so many people are doing it theses days that’s why there’s not many around anymore.Im an older guy and Seen it happen in many places in the past.Bait is not endless.Only take a few.Dont just take shitloads
He said he's freezing them. He'll be able to pull them out as needed to use as chummers and cut bait. My guess is he's a commercial or charter captain and it's called being prepared.
Who the hell says that about dolphin fish? That guy needs to get off the crack. Dolphin is an extremely versatile fish at the dinner table because it isnt soft and mushy like a lot of other fish are. You can grill it, bake it, fry it, etc.. and it's not going to fall apart. It's a very clean tasting fish and of course you put seasoning and/or sauces on it. You do that with 99% of food. He's just a hater plain and simple.
@@MovinWeightFishing thats never bothered me. I can throw a net several different ways but over the shoulder is faster for me and it works better for my swing. Ive used it for nets 8ft 16ft and up to 30lbs
Thanks for watching guys! Please make sure to drop a like on this video if you enjoyed it, and let me know what you would like to see next!

Love my Black Pearl. Well worth the money especially if you throw a lot like we do down here.

a 4 foot net is what you throw?
I got a pair of ocean eyes to and I love them I'll never go back
They're the best
@@MovinWeightFishing oh yea
Get a small chicken dolphin and try salt baking it whole with the skin on, it's pretty good and moist that way.
well see
Do you salt your baits before throwing them in the freezer? Every-time I keep pilchards in the freezer they fall apart when I want to use them.
In this video how many ft and what lenght is the cast net??

Yes man nice job I really like your cast net
What in the Nantucket sound? So many pilch daddys
Beautiful net. I have the issue with my net. Freaking lead always tangled after every throw.
I use to have the same problem, most irritating thing ever as a fisherman , these black pearl nets are AMAZING... ans I’m not just saying that
Whatever you do, don't worry about the food chain. Why do you need to take so many and freeze them ?
How does the net open at the end to the bucket
Awesome video and nice pancakes

There are no videos out with that method of throwing a cast net
You should make a video

Went to pick up my bass boat from the shop and saw some solid 5 inch Pilchards on the ground next to it

Dolphins raggedy. I did a poll on my Instagram and about 600 people think dolphin is also way overrated......
That cast net is expensive
You definitely get what you pay for though quality wise. This net will outperform and outlast its competitor giving it that value.
Why do you have to use your teeth? Watch how Bangladeshi people cast net, it's super easy and you can throw the net very far
Their nets have very little weight ...they are more of a large gill net
I'll never understand spinning around in a circle to throw a net
I’ll never understand loading it over my shoulder and getting soaked
