Hey guys, today I went out with CJ to catch a bunch of live bait to penn up for this fall. We ended up catching pilchards, greenies, sardines, cigar minows, and a croaker, and I'll show you how to keep these baits alive for years! Hope you enjoy.

Y’all did good. Keep on keeping on.
Love all your vids man normally I’m always one of the first to watch the vids but I’m a little late! You inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and make a fishing channel!
That’s awesome Brock!!!
Adam these are your best videos really super good love your show this is what you need to show people really
Your pen looks like a little boat, love it. Awesome video Adam
Ahahah thanks derek
As I said before that your best show yet educational shows your talent you are the man love your show
Thanks Adam. Can you expound on what depth you look for bait, what kinds of structure, etc. Thank you
Any type of structure ! And from 15-40 ft
The exact video I requested! Thanks big dawg!
Yewww!!!
Great info again. Showing the details is appreciated. Where do you sell the fish that you catch?
To a fish market!
Hi ..you guys rock ! .
I'm new to this ...
Questions:
Whay depth is the best to look for them .
Do I have to ancor, find structure ?
Tide is important?
Once again our man is the star of Vik's channel. With his parents. And, I gotta say. His dad is a fussyesque eater. Jeez.
What does that mean?
Love the videos
I fish out of Boynton. Can you recommend any spots for bait fishing ?
I used to get bait right outside the inlet and still do but it’s getting less and less.
Have also been to lake worth pier and found bait.
That mystery fish that you caught is a silver perch
Sweet thanks
I have a question what about the trap that you’re putting the bait in where did you get it what size is it how many beats Overholt then how do you feed your best to keep them alive
Thanks for the info bro 🔥🔥🔥
No problem 👍
BRO, that editing game on the first one minute was awesome!
Glad you liked !!
Great video. I'm starting to cast net for ballyhoo while on the reef when they show up. It's kind of a pain in the ass & I might get a ballyhoop net instead. But I'm having trouble finding pilchards and sardines. Any help would be appreciated. I fish out of Port Everglades if you can suggest an area there or what to look for. Thanks keep the vids coming.
Yes!!! Out sardines and pilchards and greenies hold on FAD’s! Any type of structure or rock between 15-40 feet will hold bait
Do you use #8 sabikis for the threadfins and dines also? Another great vid 👍🏻
Yes!
Good video bud .. like the bait well .: y’all are blessed to live the way you do , although I’m sure you already know that ..
Do updates on the bait thing it’s cool … I wanna see 1,500 baits In that thing !
Nice video! how long could the pilchards live in the Net thing without you feeding them??
Honestly... they eat stuff naturally so I’m sure they could make it fine for as long as they want.. but I like to keep mine fat and healthy!! I feed them fish roe about twice a week
5:40: "Jay is on a silent tear". Better than Jay being on a Silent Bob!😁😂
Ahahah
Thanks Adam ... quick question, I Just moved to SE Flo and trying to learn the ropes. I'm originally from the Jersey Shore so never even seen some of the fish down here. I bought a dozen pilchards from the live bait guys in Manatee Cove last week. Only used a few that day and put the rest in a bait pen I bought at the Snook Nook later that day, all were alive and well. 24 hours later they were all dead and a couple had their eyes missing, LOL! Any idea wassup? Thanks!!
Hey man. Been coming to marathon every year since 1985.. love to fish but am really just trying to learn the area and how to go about catching stuff
Coming down in October and my son in law and I wanna do an overnight night stay at the hump in marathon on his boat. Weather permitting
Tips on catching pilchards?
Looks like more fun than actually fishing.
Great video!
Thanks!
Did u prepare this Rig or is it ready made? Can u show me how do u prepare it? Thx
It’s already made!
Pilchards, herons, sardines, cigars, are all really tasty! They're snack food!
MOVIN BAIT. Sick video. How do you feed and maintain them??
Also lets see that sabiki stick, must be pretty long to deal with them doubled up 'bikis
It’s just a 7’6 rod and I feed them fish roe about twice a week!
Great video
Nice tear man, very candy esque baits
Veryyyyy candy esk
What brand of sabiki are you using? Did you fish for bait at bullshark?
Yes I was! And tsunami !
How do I know where to stop for baits? What’s the area I’m looking for what depth ? Like what’s the key to finding bait when heading out ? Aside from ballyhoo!
By the way,the video with periwinkle snails, the fried looked awesome!try that white wine butter aromatics concoction to do them in,u will love!
Thanks todd
How are you feeding them?
Dude you're the best sardine fisherman I've ever seen
Thanks
It's called being a master baiter.
No doubt Keith haha
Yea you can also make bait pens with chicken wire and burlap sacks too. We call it the poor man's bait pen but they work great!😎👍👍
Ahahah
I'm sure you knew it, but since you didn't mention it. :) One huge benefit of having that pump above the water line shooting water, into the water like that is constantly adding new oxygen to the tank.
Yes Erik ! That is the reason we did it like that
I assume that there is a screen cover over the tank to keep it from being a bird feeder???
Yes! And to keep anything from trying to get them ,
When you walk into a bait shop does anything sway your opinion towards a particular brand sabiki? Or it really doesn’t matter like you mentioned
Yes! I like tsunami flourocarbon number 6 is the most all around sabiki
Movin Weight Fishing thanks 👌🏽
What depth are you in? North or south of the inlet? Any landmarks of where the bait is?
North about 30 deet
What do you feed them in the holding pen?
Usually roe from fish we catch
When can we see the video on how to make CJ's livewell! Need to build a pressurized one for my boat!
Thanks Adam. Ricky
Of course ricky
Do you have to feed them while they're in the pen?
Yes, I'll show that in a future video!
Thinking of moving to the area. What are your thoughts on Port St Lucie. Looks like 30 min from Jupiter
Nice
Do you have to feed them?
No you don’t have to feed the bait if you only have them for a day👍
We feed them about twice a week
@@MovinWeightFishing What do you feed them? Thanks.
What kinda weight do you have on that sabuki
4 ounce dipsy
What do you feed them and how often do you have to feed them
Fish roe and about twice a week
What do you feed them
How about a land based pen? Do you think it’s worth having one at home? For instance to keep mullet?
Mullet don’t pen up sadly, they get super raggedy,
.
@@MovinWeightFishing it’s a good thing you told me that. I was about to turn an old jacuzzi into a bait pen.
How do you know where to stop for bait when you are in the open water or was that in the bay?
Open water .. and we have marked fads where bait holds up
Thanks bud keep up the good work
@@MovinWeightFishing do you know of any good bait spots that I can try off of the Boca area. Please have been trying everything
What do you feed them and how often ?
What size sabicky and color. Great video.
Size 6 red red
Once they are penned do you have to feed them at all??
Yes
We shake a little bit of powdered coffee creamer in our bait tanks and it gets rid of all the foam and doesn't hurt the bait
Thanks for the tip.... I’m gonna try it
EXCELLENT VIDEO😎🤩🤩🤩🥳🤯🤯
Glad you enjoyed it
We get cigars that size off St Augustine all the time. NICE though!!
Thankss
What bait do you use?
All that bit we can have a damn fine fish fry Sun
*HOW often and what do you feed them?... Thanx* ..gw
About 2 times a week and I feed them fish roe but honestly they will eat about anything
@@MovinWeightFishing *Thanx* ..gw
Live bottom with chum net? What depth?
Where did you aquire that pen from bro? Dope video!
I made it!!!
@@MovinWeightFishing can I pay you for some information? I don't like anything for free but I'm obsessed with finding the right live well situation, it's all I do all day! I don't Much about social media or how to use it but I'm Dave at 650-704-0307, I can PayPal you or whatever
You ain't fooling me! All these Pilchards are going to Landsharks fish fry. They are going to be the appetizers for the main course of almond crusted Menhaden.
Lolll I love it!!
Do you have to feed them? If so what do you feed them
I like to feed mine yes! And I feed them fish roe but they will eat almost anything
Looking for a marina in the Jupiter area to put my boat, any suggestions.
Jupiter pointe !
@@MovinWeightFishing I'm on the waiting list, thanks for the tip!
That opening song is a jam.
It goes hard
It is the new movin weight song!!!!
@@MovinWeightFishing must be trying to reel in the teenie boper audience.
Must be nice living in Jupiter, try that in many Stuart canals and end up with 442 stinkers.
My only question is: at the end of the video. Were you looking into the microphone, instead of the camera lens? :)
Yes I think so lol
Can I do this for brims and Cichlid for fresh water
Yes
Thanks
Cool Video!! Keep it up! SpinFish1
Thanks spinfish!
CAN U PLZZZZZ SHOW WHERE U GO like how far of or like how many ft down??? Plz
NIce didnt know they would keep this long
Yes!
Looks like a great washing machine
BROOOOO!!! Wasn't there a vine or meam video of you falling with a taco or something 👀😂😂😂
Lmaooo what??? Def not me aaaha
How deep are you fishing for bait and where
Secret
442 bait fisherman numbers tho so 420 ish in reality 😂 great video man should have shown what the bottom machine looks like over a bait rock tho
I feed them about twice a week
Sorry wrong comment lol... and I will do next time
Hey why don't you guys use cast nets
We do! But to pen baits up it’s not great to cast net them...
Well whenever I try catching a shad to keep some alive they all die right after a few mins after I catch them for some reason
These resemble some we call yellow bill , here in jamaica
That's a freaking Bullhead
I was never a big fan of cigar minnows. Never had much success using them in Miami and the Keys. Pilchards, threadfin, sardines and goggle eye’s have been my baits of choice.
Thanks
You live closer to the intercostal ?
Yes
Movin Weight Fishing I try to keep some bait a live the only ones is blue runners
Someone explain to the northeast boy why you don’t pen up gogs
We do not use gogs... a giggle eye compared to a sardine isn’t even worth fishing!!!
Pen goggle eye and drive them up north for the bill fish tournaments, $120 a dozen last I heard.
No thanks !
It's called a sand perch are related to the croaker and a weak trout
Sweet
You hype for snook season?
Of course
I don't know if those baits were stoked enough
Ahahah
All are cigars are that big in St. Augustine
Nice
That's a huge pen
Yessir
maybe dumb question. sry i am not fisherman :). why you need to store so much bait?
To catch a lot of fish!
14:50 we call them yellow tail we know they aren’t yellow tail snapper but thats just what we call them
Bruh💀😭
Can I buy some bait? Or go fishing with you guys?
You can book a charter with us!
Butterfish
Maybe you should just become a bait salesman
what hurricane?
Lolll right!
Do u sell bait

Hey bro! Check out Key West Waterman. He's got a great Channel just like yours. A lot of great spear takes. If you're not already I'll think you'll enjoy his channel. Moving weight yeah!
I’ve seen his videos!!! He kills it
40 gal tank times 8 lb per lb = 320 lb
Sweet
:)
