    Anyone else love these old cameras??? I mean I say old but really its only 11 years of age, and it performs so well still! Even at a measly (lol) 16 mp it takes some amazingly sharp photos!! The Nikon D5100 will always be a camera I keep around, that is for sure!

      I have this camera since 2012 and lately planning to sell it but when i tried it with my vintage nikon f lenses it made me think that its a keeper. Although its hard with fully manual lenses, once you hit the right focus you will be amaze. And also there is an af illuminator guide that helps you to focus in this camera

    I own a Nikon D5100 and I absolutely love it. Every now and then I consider upgrading to a newer camera but I just can't pull the trigger. The reviews I see on newer cameras do not impress me enough to tempt me to replace my D5100. I believe the D5100 is the workhorse of Nikon.

    I have a D5600. I think of the benefits are cheap lenses for the system as you buy modern lenses with auto focus motors from 10-300mm all under £200. I have an M4/3 camera have the lenses are considerably more expensive.

    • @PinkhatPhotography
      @PinkhatPhotography  3 года назад +1

      Oh absolutely, I upgraded to Sony, but I keep the Nikon's around cause they are cheap to shoot with with focal lengths in don't have in e mount

    • @lim9571
      @lim9571 3 года назад +1

      @@PinkhatPhotography I hope one day to upgrade to the Z mount but there isn't an affordable option. With FTZ and kit Lense the price would be around £800. For a minimal upgrade in image quality.

    • @PinkhatPhotography
      @PinkhatPhotography  3 года назад +1

      @@lim9571 yeah I totally get what you mean. The z mount overall doesn't seem bad, the autofocus issues with those cameras turned me off of them when I was looking into mirrorless but it sounds like Nikon has made a ton of progress!
