Great video. I have a 12' x 20' Trex patio deck with the Transcend rails. It is very important to install the adjustable foot blocks that he demonstrated in this video. Adjustable foot blocks reinforce the rail and are required for every Trex composite rail section. If this step is not completed it will cause the railing to sag and doesn’t offer the structural durability needed for the railing system. I am dealing with this issue now. After a year and 7 months, two rail sections began to sag. I discovered the contractor only installed one section. Thankfully, I was able to purchase the adjustable foot blocks online and this video showed me how to remove the ballasters so that I can drill a hole in the bottom rails to install them.
We added a white railing to our front door and it instantly took the curb appeal up $$$$$. Thanks for the using the template for marking the hardware placement.
Hi. I just saw a comment on an Ecuador utube channel where a couple bought a property. You mentioned you are older and are coming to Ecuador. So am coming to Cuenca ( god willing) in September from Los Angeles … $ 180dlls one way!!! I speak perfect Spanish
We currently have this system on our deck from the previous owner. I want to cover that deck now. Is it possible (and recommended) to extend the height of the posts without dissembling the entire rail system ? Thank you.
what about the bottom of the post. when you screwed in the black mount it pulled towards you. Is the post now crooked? shouldn't you shim the bottom too? I am about to do this and worry about keeping post sleeves plum and true.
Had to come here as a contractor and as many of my contractor buddies DO NOT USE TREX RAILING!! It’s ok to use Trex decking but the rail/stair rail kits are crap. Get a BETTER system at Lowe’s called Dekorators. Really being they have the best application with covers for the application and covering screws.
I assume your rail system was designed a certain length in size and you installed the 4x4’s with this in mind while installing them. I’m guessing 6’ apart. What if you had an odd size like 3’? Would you just cut the railings to that particular length?
I have a complete series of the complete install. Here they are. Kit railings kits are garbage. They allow water to get inside the railing top cap and posts then the Aluminum oxidizes. And falls apart then the railings get loose and wobble apart. I replace these railings all the time at least 10 times a year. Total junk
Bro knows what he is doing. Good

Awesome installation video. Thank you for explaining everything. I’m planning to do the same now I know exactly what to do.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. Have you done something similar for a stair/step?
Thank you for making a video that gets to the point and explains everything!!!
You are so welcome!

Very nice work thanks for the information.
Glad it was helpful!
Nice job. Thank you
Thanks for watching!
How much of 6ft stair rail kit would I need for a 2nd story (8ft) deck?

The amount it moves is usually so small it doesn't matter. If you cut your rails correctly, they will plum when installed.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Why didn't you show how to install the posts?

🙏
Did you use the Diablo Trex blade to cut it? Or is a DeWalt 80T good enough to do the job?
all the cuts are covered up
Agree. How. Do I start? I have a deck, no posts !!
How much does that railing kit cost?
Sorry I got it in Home Depot and don’t recall the exact price. Please like and subscribe
What color is the deck
It is call harbor gray
Thank you

Yes
What is the kit model number? Or link to were we can get this kit?
I think these railings are composite, not aluminum.
How expensive is that railing kit. None of the stores in my area carry it, must be special order. And no clue of cost.
I got them at Home Depo and I think they were are $200.00 Each
@@getitdonehomerepair More like $280 for the cheapest now.
Nice eye protection demo. 'I dropped them and forgot to put them back on.'
Please.

Thanks for your input
Put weep holes on the bottom of the bottom rail.
