    Thanks for the shout out, guys!👊🏻
    The "sleeve" in the top of the knuckle is actually your camber sleeve. I've heard there's going to be different variations coming out so that you can dial in camber if you so choose. Also, I picked up a ball joint adapter kit. It has a couple different braces specifically for solid axles, so it's a lot easier to press your ball joint in straight. Glad these joints are FINALLY available, but I agree. THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN OEM! Great vid as always, guys!!👊🏻🤘🏻

      Yea... I was already in the Instal.. I didn’t want to go to the store again 😂. That is actually cool... ability to adjust camber without fancy ass ball joints... I dig it.
      I’m sure I’ll be hearing it from a handful of clowns... “stop whining” 🙄
      Facts are facts... oem should of been metal on metal.. sure... don’t include the grease fitting... but plastic DONT BELONG in ball joints... unless they gonna be $100 to swap all 4.... oem joints... right now... $285 for 2...
      Glad to shout you out... u have a great channel man!

    mistakes happen, hell i've done it... tip... to get the unit bearing off put the brake rotor back on backwards with a couple lug nuts loose. use it as a slide hammer and it'll pop right off. also when removing the steering links, put the nut on till it is flush with the top of the thread and wack it with your orange dead blow. less risk of smashing the threads and ruining the end! keep on keeping on man!

    • @JLLIFEOFFROAD
      @JLLIFEOFFROAD  4 года назад

      Though I would agree FCA made the final call.. I really have a hard time justifying it taking dana 2.5 years to put out the better part.. even if it was a ‘time exclusive’ company like dana should have the fortitude to not bow to every demand... it’s their name on the part... and good possibility this is what’s causing a lot of the DW for jl owners...
      As long as the masses remain quiet... this is the type of stuff tht continues 🤷‍♂️
      But thanks for watching my friend! I’m always down to wheel!

    Hey.... Long post... Sorry ;)
    Glad you mention the jack stand/tire/jack...and the safety of that. I remember your comment on another video of a car falling on a person you knew. A error that's potentially not recoverable.
    Ok hitting the hammer directly vs using a block of wood?
    Make sure no on hits the bread peddle (maybe cut 2x4 in there just incase)
    First time I'd seen that type of zerk fitting... The bottom one be Leary of stuff settling in there ... Wonder if you can swap to another type.
    Maintenance removing surface rust great thought... Maybe light coat of ... Oil or rust-o-lum (sp?) paint?

      @JLLIFEOFFROAD  4 года назад +1

      Ooof... a lot to unpack here... 😂
      Yes... mistakes happen.. I more so got ahead of myself thinking about the video... and planning what I was gonna be doing... i could of refilmed. But.... decided I’d bite the bullet and show my mistake... will help me remember next time.. and let’s people know I’m a straight shooter...
      Despite the mistake... I am redundant with safety measures... and HATE being underneath a jeep without tires on

    • @JLLIFEOFFROAD
      @JLLIFEOFFROAD  4 года назад +1

      So hammer hitting the knuckle... I’m fine with that... the steering.... I probably should of hit the knuckle there... not the stud... 🤔 one thing I love about YT... even thou I’m the one making videos.. I learn a lot from people who watch... honestly... love it

    • @JLLIFEOFFROAD
      @JLLIFEOFFROAD  4 года назад

      Bottom grease fitting... a sharp 90degree firing may fit... I would need to look... I assumed a regular fitting would of hit the u joint... as it sits now... I’ll need to pull the axle shaft to grease... which ain’t a bad thing... helps me keep things maintained

    • @JLLIFEOFFROAD
      @JLLIFEOFFROAD  4 года назад +1

      So when I did reassemble her stuff... I actually used a thin layer of lithium grease on the mounting surfaces... wasn’t sure how it would turn out... so I didn’t mention it in video... Another thing, Dana should know Wrangler owners hit the trails, add weight to their jeeps and just overall have fun so yes they should’ve done a bit more research. O well, hopefully the other company’s come out with some better ones.
    I will take your advise with the safety check that if I’m jacking up the Jeep to rest it on the jack stands and not let the jack still be the primary holder. I’ve been under my Jeep enough and other vehicles and fortunately haven’t had the vehicle come down on me.

      Same for Mistys jeep, testing the old ones on the jeep, they seemed fine. Nothing that should of caused DW. Misty has upgraded everything under her front end, BJ were the only stock part left. However we couldn't really do much as nobody had aftermarket ball joints. Synergy keeps saying they are coming, but they were saying December last year back in October. We were getting tired of waiting. These were a huge upgrade and fix the DW. However I will not shy away from saying this should of been the original design from Dana and FCA.
      If you swap em, and it helps. Let me know will you? im curious about these stock ball joints causing so much DW for so many people and nobody being able to figure it out.

    • @JLLIFEOFFROAD

      As the ball joints and TRE flex offroading... it will force out grease out of the boot. another’s reason its only a matter of time before the joint starts getting dust.. dirt and other foreign bodies in it... adding new grease helps push those out of joint... prolonging the life of the joint.
