Oh yeah and despite Nebraska playing all these ridiculous RBs in one year, they finished 80th while Kansas, who played a mediocre group of rushers outside of Perine and Linwood, finished 108.

Erik Zaragoza LEGit tho! This is why you cannot base NFL potential off of college stats, epsiclalt dudes who went to schools known for amazing offensive lines and run dominance. I mean Alvin Kamara and his 500 yards junior year compare not to well to Perine and his close to 2000 yards but look at them in the pros ya know? Monte Ball, lamchiael james, I mean the list goes on and on man. Shit even Saquan was only 37th in ncaa in rushing the year he came out, but you have to look at all factors like his line play and stacked boxes and stuff. You don’t get the kind of holes in the NFL even once a game that you get in college on over half of your carries. That’s why you have guys with amazing speed and nothing else have huge college seasons but do nothing in the pros. You have to have vision, catching ability, pass blocking technique and IQ, shiftiness, durability, acceleration AND speed. And tbh even if you don’t have amazing speed, as long as you have quickness or power, you can make it in the league. Kamara runs a 4.53 clocked! And he’s known as a faster RB by causal fans. He’s just so damn quick.

Less carries, yep. Less time played, nope. Gordon came in the game at 14:48 of the 1st quarter and his last play was as time expired at the end of the 3rd quarter = 2688 seconds. Perine's first play was 11:32 of 1st quarter and his last run ended at 12:16 of the 4th quarter = 2656 seconds. Gordon played half a minute longer. If they each would have played the rest of their games at the clip they were running at Gordon would have ended up at 544, Perine 545. Theoretically. That's with Perine coming into the game when he did. If he came in when Gordon did he ends up at 576.
