Same. 6>5, don’t know why people like 5 better. Pokémon effect? Liked the expanddd class changes from 3, and much better story implementation than 7 (more is not always better!)

i always thought dq2 was way under rated. i love dq2 its art is the best in my opinion (if you play it on nes) i love all the monster designs in 8 bit and while its grindier than others i never got bored. the atmosphere was really superb
Most dragons, I think I am with Teddy I fear the Dragons in Dragon Quest II so probably that one even though it only has Green Dragons. You seem to fight multiples of them in the cave to Rhone. I also think Dragon Quest 2 is underated. It improves on Dragon Quest I and most of the complaints come from the NES version. Dragon Quest VI is also super underated. Yeah I am one of the people who does not like Terry. Milly is great though and so is the Hackasaurus that Terry fought. Terry, nope stay in the wagon.

@@PapiPoliteRPG Ha Ha , Sure I will send him you're way. You will have to level him up a bit though. A few Job classes, but make sure to make him and keep him as a mage for the final class just to spite him 😄
@@igotkings Haha sounds good bro! I'm trying my best to picture Terry as a Mage and I can't seem to do it. I feel like he would just beat the poop out of the monsters with his staff instead of firing spells lol.

I agree with the fact that 6 is the most underrated DQ game.
It seems strange hearing that "the community hated this game", as it feels that basically no one played it/cared about it :D and it's a shame because it's actually a very solid DQ game, especially gameplay-wise due to its great job system. Its main issue, I'd say, it's the story department: both it and the characters, while not bad, are rather forgettable...
Also, it's squeezed in between two very famous entries in the series: 5 is easily one of the most memorable games, and it features the best DQ story (which is why plenty of people - myself included - say it's their favorite in the series). 7, on the other hand, is one of the biggest and most famous/infamous for several reasons. Even within the Zenithian trilogy itself, 6 is the less talked about...it's truly the forgotten DQ game.
Maybe they didn't care about it in Japan...if you think about it, both 4 and 5 were remade in Japan before the DS version (4 on psone, 5 on pstwo). Even DQ2 has been ported/remade several times in the past (msx, msx2, superfamicom, gameboy color). 6, on the other hand, has received nothing besides the DS remake. Further proof that no one cares about it :D
