Etrian Odyssey Nexus is the big sendoff or swan song of the series. It's a culmination of a all the previous Etrian Odyssey games like classes from across the titles. I know it's late but when you open the your 3ds or 2DS if you go to the app activity log it will detail how many hours you put into the game. Also any of you have a 3DS or 2DS family of systems any game of 4, 5, or Untold, Untold 2 have demos in case you want to try it out to see if you're interested. In the case of redoing your characters from Etrian Odyssey 2 onwards when in the guild hall there is an option called Rest. You lose two levels but you get to reallocate your skill points for your skills in case you feel you mess up. It's the very first one where is brutal where you lose 10 levels. There's also a couple of changes from 1 to the remake Untold. A significant one is if you do quests from the bar in Untold you are rewarded with experience points on top of the reward. In the first one it was just a reward. I proposed going in this order for newcomers 4, 5, Untold 1, Untold 2 and then finally Nexus only reason is because the quality of life on the mapping tools.
Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection got announced today, can't wait to play 1-3 I started 1 but dropped it in stratum 2 and I started 3 but dropped it in stratum 3 But every game after 3 I have played all the way through and loved every minute of it, so this collection is perfect for me good podcast, hope you do more etrian stuff sometime
@@RPGArchive1 Thank you for the video man. This series is my favorite in the RPG series. The fact of satisfaction in drawing out the map to me is cathartic. My love for this series burns with the fury of a thousand suns lol.
@@Trenell83 Yeah it's a great series. It reminds me of hardcore RPG's on PC, but made infinitely more playable and colorful. Really hoping it finds a way to continue, in some form or another.
