    thank you for this tutorial! I used it for making straps for a dress and it turned out very cute and stylish with that houndstooth effect.

    Very nice. Wondering how this would like with a solid color yarn and a variegated or color changing yarn?

      Good question! A solid or variegated yarn would still work, but the stitches may be less visible than with switching between two yarns.

      I think it would look great in a gradient color way where the color changes but very gradually.

    May I ask about the yarn that’s been hanging in the side when we change color, what do we do to hide it?

      I just carried it up as I went and you can't really see it when the piece is finished. It just blends in with the edges. You could also add a simple single crochet border to cover it as well.
