Wow! Love this beautiful pattern and colours! I’m a beginner. May I ask why should crochet a single crochet at the beginning of the new row? What is it for? Thank you!!
Hi Sandra! While I love the feeling on cotton (especially this Pima Cotton) I use it mostly in the stitches because it’s crisp and shows off the stitches so well :) I also love cotton because it’s hypoallergenic and renewable/natural (but will use acrylic for my blankets and you can certainly use it for this stitch :) )
I made a big afghan with this stitch the other month and your comment really has me thinking! I think it probably could, as long as you have the right multiples for the foundation chain. I think or this could get tricky, but not impossible is figuring out how to accommodate the multiples for the foundation and the tension in combination with each other. The way I could see it working is by obv starting with chain st, then your sc rnd, then starting the diagonal stitches. Doing it in the round would impact the color changes too. It may be a good idea to use a stitch marker and to experiment with it, avoid making an item with increases and decreases that’ll affect your stitch count in each round. If you deviate from the stitch count in the round, the stitches won’t be pulled to the side like they should. I went into way too much detail as I was mulling it over in my head, but I hope this helps. It doesn’t hurt to test it out
So many options for this stitch - hot pads and pot holders, bags, coffee cozy, and even a toasty wool afghan.... very warm for this winter.
I see pot holders and a bag 🛍️ in my life with this pattern! Thank you so much for sharing this! 🧶 💕
I will use this for my next baby blanket!! Pink, blue, and white! Thank you!!

Does this require lots of yarn ? If i wanted to do an afghan? It's gorgeous!
Wow! Love this beautiful pattern and colours!
I’m a beginner. May I ask why should crochet a single crochet at the beginning of the new row? What is it for? Thank you!!
I know it will lose some of the beautifulness but can this be done in one color, one skein? 🤔
I love this stitch. Which texture would you recommend for a fingering weight yarn scarf? Any experience appreciated.
Could this be used for hats? It’s beautiful!
Bellissimo punto, per fare una copertina per neonati, quanti grammi di lana occorrono, grazie
On the first row of single crochet stitches, should you have as many stitches as your chain? Example, you chained 14, will you have 14 single crochet?
Would this work up nicely for a thick cowl?
I would love to make a hat for my husband? Can it be done in rounds?
I was thinking im a hat, but my trouble is about increase or decrease, it depends on where I have to begin the work . 🤔
I love puff stitches but they're yarn eaters. Beautiful stitch though!
Ok. I understand that you're using a cotton yarn. Is there a reason? Or is it doable for acrylic? Just wondering?

Is there a way to turn this into a hat?
Can this stitch be worked in the round?
