How to Crochet Granny Spike Stitch

- The Granny Spike Stitch creates a substantial fabric with a lot of visual interest and loads of potential for colour play. It is a very relaxing stitch to work. You can change colours every row, or every two rows as I did. which gives the illusion of a wavy pattern. This crochet stitch would be amazing for blankets!

So lately I’ve made several blankets, but haven’t made a granny spike blanket yet, now is the time and as always your tutorial is easy to follow and I have plenty of leftovers to start ❤️
It will be wonderful in leftovers! Thank you!
Lindo❤
Love this 💕. Can it be done in a square ??
Hi! I love the pattern and I am working on a round project. Can you explain how to decrease with this pattern? Thank you 😊
Thank you so much, such a great explanation. When using three colors, do I use multiple of 4 +2 or just 1
Stitch multiple stays the same 😊
Love this. What border do you put on here?
Hello Carmen. This is a pretty stitch and it looks easy to do. I am just learning how to crochet, and I am not familiar with the different yarns, can you please tell me if this yarn is cotton or acrylic. Thank you.
I think the yarn I used was a cotton/acrylic mix. If you decide to make a blanket, acrylic is great and easy to wash!
Thank you so much for this pattern love it do you have a pattern for hat and sweater also
I don't sorry! And thank you
Lovely stitch. If I want to decrease number of stitches in a row, how do I do it? Could you please guide me in this regard? Thanks
You need to use the multiple given in the pattern:)
@@anniedesigncrochet thanks I will give it a try 👍🙂
Is there a way to carry your yarn when you are going to do a color change? So that your not having to cut and sew in the ends for color changing?
If you are using a lot of colours, it is easier to weave in as you go:)
Thank you.
Hi Annie, Can u do this granny spike stitch for a shawl or a poncho?
I have never tried that but I don't see why not!
I don't do well with tutorials, is there a written pattern for this?
