My old man was a red ripper. Flew in the f-4j phantom.. they painted the back of the carrier with “another home of the red rippers”. Lol gotta find the picture
@@okie1011 Good shit. Keep at it brother, I hope to be down there in a few years. If you don't mind me asking; which commissioning source did you use? What do you hope to track out of primary? If you went to OCS, the route I plan to take, what was the most difficult part? And what is one tip of advice throughout the entire process that you would give to a hopeful? Yeah yeah I don't usually write novels but I thought I'd try to pick your brain a little, haha. Much appreciated, I'll be looking forward to hearing which path you take!
@@Noah-rz5gz I was ocs. Indoc phase was the hardest, just remember why you’re there. Show up in shape and enjoy it, OCS was the most fun I never want to have again. I want jets but at the end of the day it’s the Navy’s choice more than mine.
x-ripper 86-89 AO3 here.....I thought NFO's had been retired with the tomcat....I thought I saw many of them on the video.....I have trained many retired military pilots and never heard them mention NFO's at all and assumed that they were obsolete.
And once again I appreciate each and every individual service for their country. As a puke civilian. Just looking for a little closer to perfection. Anybody else? Or are we done working now. I think we're done here!
(science fiction) - Ford 2, ya ready? - Ya one. Let's go. I go first. - k. Just two of us. - copy - launch - here we go, Tim. Follow me - right behind ya
- Tim, I have a missile lock. - Do not fire. Have you heard about the stories about these flying objects that "do not exist"? - Some. What are you pointing out, Sarge? - They not only are able to avert the damage, but they are also able to return it back. - Yeah, I kind of figured that out. These are not Russians or Chinese. Absolutely North Koreans who need to kill their kind just to get food. - Right. Let us not try to harass that aircraft more. Do you agree? - Absolutely Tim! Let's return to the base. What do we tell? - Good question. Let me think. - It was a fast-moving ball-lighting. - Tim, we will get away with that. It is so much better than we would tell about the truth about chasing an alien scout ship. We would be fired immediately, Tim. - I know, right. I will try to figure out something. In my contract three is a clause of truth. I will take the hit. At the commander's quarters the next day, Sergeant Tim was present. The commander said, - Sergeant. You claim you chaced an alien ship, right? - Not just me, but Ford 2 was helping me. Definite assistance. - Right. - Sir, it was my fault the enemy got away. Not anyone else's fault. I understand if you want to fire me. But I can tell you Sir that it was amazing. Technology is beyond our understanding. I would like to study it. It might become our advantage too. No promises though! - Right, Sergeant. Fine. You will have facilities and the best team with your selection. - Thank you, Sir. I appreciate your trust in me. If I fail, what do I lose? I was born with nothing, I die with nothing 🙂Null-equal 🙂

In the Rhinos they are typically referred to as the WSOs. In the Growler they are EWOs. The NAVY adopted the air force terminology.
Did a promotion video capture something EXTREAMLY interesting without realizing it? @4:48
Never mind whatever it doesn't matter
