Outstanding work! My favorite part is the last segment -- the roster of every member of the squadron is such a great touch, acknowledging that none of this is possible without the contribution of every team member. (The accompanying photography is jaw-dropping, too.)

@@TheCloudhopper Agreed, Im hoping they bring some kind of basic Electronic warfare payloads to the A-6 when it comes out and from there its a pretty short jump from the Hornet we have now, to a growler (from a module design standpoint)

Oh, and the growler is based directly on the Super hornet airframe, and the EA-6 series is "a completely different airframe" than the A-6 in the same way the F-16I is completely different than the F-16C. Obviously you're just splitting hairs in order to seem condescending, which is what a child does, when he doesnt actually know what he's talking about.
Got tears of being proud of who we were during this deployment, our loved ones at sea, and the hearts left behind at home...standing strong for there return❣️

Little late on the comment here, but out of curiosity - anyone know what those pods are that have the little propellers on them? haven't seen those before
don't know if anybody who knows is going to see this but what's the difference between the flight helmets with normal/more retro looking visors and the big ones with visors attacked to the grey piece at the top and kinda look like a flys eyes

Noticed several shots of legacy Hornets..I thought those retired from the Navy/Carrier ops years ago and are now serving only with USMC?
Those were marine units.
VMFA-323 flew the final Hornet deployment with our airwing

DCS needs to come out with a real Super Hornet and not just a F 18 C with a Rhino skin and actually represent our Navy’s full capabilities? A Block 111 would be nice too.
Great video. VAQ-129/131 AT MOS 6668 ECM here (mid 1990s). Can anyone tell me why they're all wearing masks? I mean go out to sea, "quarantine" and then stay out there - without masks... Seems a little crazy. Am I the only one who notices/thinks this? If masks don't work in say New York or India how the hell are they gonna work on the boat?

These Hornets are "Growlers" and them pods, are part of what allow them to Jam Radars.
