These are all the bad endings that I've found so far. A bad ending is an alternative ending that you get when all your penalty health is gone. It's different from the guilty verdicts that your client gets when this happens.

is this a reference to that case with de killer in it?
I just love the mood whiplashes in this. One second Blackquill and Edgeworth are joking about how bad Phoenix's attempt to find a contradiction is, the next second Simon is fucking dead
Rest in fucking pieces. XD
I felt so guilty about giggling at this.
I'm guilty for laughing.
May as well get in one last laugh before getting killed right?
Earl Grey
The trial Simon mislead.
The next day, he has no head.
SIMON IS FUCKING DEAD.
2nd one : Meh.
1st one : THE MIRACLE NEVER HAPPEN.
1st one : your both friends leave you, your daughter is taken away from you. the entire government is corrupted and broken. all because of that badge.
@@Pwithstar thats trucy. maya isnt in the game. trucy is phoenix's adoptive daughter.
@@Pwithstar I mean Dual Destinies ending, which Trucy is taken away from Phoenix.
everyone talking about the "apollo stopped smiling" when phoenix literally never gets to see his daughter again???? that broke me
Lmao ikr i mean whats worse, someone not smiling or a 17 year old vanishing with other hostages forever?
@@waldened she was his LIGHT....im sobbing
Trucy literally means the world to Phoenix,,,so knowing she’d be taken away, never coming back, UWSHSJSJSK IM TEARING UP……..
Poor Phoenix
Yuh
and that, kids, is why you save like a maniac
and have a walkthrough with you 24/7...
and that kids, is why you shouldn't show your attorney badge in court.
and dont trust innocent people, trust guilty people and arrested cilent
I like how the first one is basically "everyone dies or vanishes or their life is ruined, and the worst part is that I'm not a lawyer anymore."
because of that FREAKING badge
It probably has to do with the thing that Phoenix became a lawyer to do justice but his actions ruined many a lives.
Not really, I'm assuming the game over text is coming from Phoenix recollecting his memories from later on after the case, and after losing his daughter to a hostage situation that he could have prevented it's extremely sympathetic of himself to just downplay his losses there compared to the others'
@@samthebudiman you’re right. Not only would Phoenix quit his career, he’d also live with heavy guilt likely for the rest of his life.
0:10 Prosecutor Blackquill, your statement is inconsistent with my shiny badge.
Phoenix Wright and your shiny badge is inconsistent with your new job as a janitor

The second one was kind of eh.
The first one...Capcom knows how to make you hate your life.
Like seriously, Simon executed, Aura and the hostages disappear forever, even Athena, Apollo is never fine again and Phoenix leave his attorney badge again...? This is FAR worse than JFA's bad ending.
Yep, lot more worse than JFA.
If I write the ending then I would go a little more extreme like Simon executed the next day as schedule. Aura kill all the hostages including Trucy and herself. Simon's death led to Cykes psychological trauma and left the office with guilty in her mind forever. Apollo change into ruthless lawyer who willing to do anything to get his win. But I won't have Phoenix hung himself. Phoenix just resign in shame is already extreme though.
They didn't even make it as bad as possible.
*SPOILER AHEAD*
Remember why Case 5 even got its start: Athena was the suspect of Clay Terran's murder. You find Simon guilty of the UR-1 and can't accuse the real murderer of killing Metis Cykes, there's no way to prove their existence to accuse them for Clay's murder. Athena doesn't just "leave the office", she gets found guilty of killing Clay. Aura vanishing with all the hostages probably still happens too since Simon was executed.
HinataChan30 Actually, no. The #4 trial was only about UR-1. It wasn't about Clay until Apollo showed up.
Okay. That "Apollo stopped smiling" broke my heart.
+SplendidXShot Same here ; ;
His smile and fineness: Gone.
Bye-bye Trucy! What a terrible ending

*rimshot*
"And I, realizing my uselessness as a lawyer, took off my badge for good."
Geez, I dunno, but the fact that the evidence that gave him the final penalty was his badge itself, just makes this ending scarier... It is like phoenix was a shitty attorney that screwed everyone that met him when he worked as one. After that, i was afraid the next text was gonna be something like "Cosmos commited suicide after Aura's crimes" if it wasn´t obvious this was his last say.
Way to go, capcom...
Well, he shouldn't showed that badge, should he?
MAYBE NEXT TIME YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE PRESENTED YOUR BADGE.

What, why?! If it is in the court record, it must be presented.

CURSE YOU, CAPCOM!!!!!!!!!
+David Guthary Yeah, because it was properly translated.
There's actually a third bad ending. Where you can't prove Athena innocent after you prove Simon innocent. Athena gets taken away by Aura in ransom for the hostages never to be seen again.
Sounds like an inconsistent ending to me. I mean, the court has police officers all around here, so they could of stop Aura from kidnapping Athena.
GameRHero95 Aura wouldn’t release the hostages until she had Athena
Can you drop a link to that 3rd bad ending?
its the second
I got this ending..that's why I wanted to find any others.
Everyone’s talking about “Apollo stopped smiling”, which yeah, is sad but are we not gonna talk about the fact that YOU WILL NEVER SEE YOUR DAUGHTER AGAIN? She is taken as a hostage and disappears, and probably dies of thirst and starvation because I’m willing to bet Aura doesn’t want to have to provide for a bunch of people who she doesn’t care about.
Which is completely true, and I agree with you, everyone is like Apollo stopped smiling broke my heart, but phoenix rather would be sad at trucy's death, trucy been with him much before Apollo.
Tbh I kinda read it as Aura killing all of the hostages + herself and that's why they never saw any of them again, which definitely doesn't make it better 😭
She likely just took them somewhere where the police will never find them and killed them all and herself.
'He better not be making fun of my hair!
...
Oh wait, I just ended any hope of saving the courts and Athena. Oh well!'
Wow, I never knew this existed! Just watching the first one made my soul die a little... geez! Talk about overkill.
Glad I never failed in this game... very glad.
I tell you, I've never saved so much in a game...
Goddamn....
Ace Attorney can be fucking dark at times....
"Prosecutor Blackquill was executed as scheduled the next day."
Well....
Shit....
As for Aura Blackquill..
She and her robots took Trucy and the hostages away and vanished without a trace..
...
She... most likely... Murdered all of them..
*MAN. WHAT A DARK GAME.*
No wonder it's rated *M*.
Who knows what happened to our main trio, in such a depressed state
Dang... That's some dark stuff, but the whole "Apollo stopped smiling" thing did break the mood a little.
Guess it was this game's: "The miracle never happen".
Honestly, I wonder why he keeps smiling in the first place. That guy's been losing everyone he had. First his dad, then his real mother, then his friend, then (if the bad ending happened) he would lose Athena, then his sister... and then.. well, a lot of other people.
How does this guy even smile anyway?? It doesn't seem he could smile to me, with all of these lost people.
@@usernamel4265 then he lost his adoptive parent

+Geometry Dash LOL1982 I laughed way too hard at this comment
that ending was better from this one.
Very sad ending even you fulfill the wants of the killer and you cannot save maya back
Dual Destinies is the Justice for All feels-ride for the Apollo series.
This is Athena’s game, SoJ is Apollo’s
holy shit, i just realized the justice for all part
To be honest.... the second bad ending in this video seems more neutral than the first, considering the first bad ending results in one of the characters leaving, another quitting and another suffering an emotional hit (or two). So if they were to choose something as canon, (assuming CAPCOM uses the same style as Dead Rising 2, where they literally used the second best ending, A as canon) there is a slight possibility the second may be used, or, use it in a spin-off (if it came to that), both are emotional however.
You losing Trucy forever made my blood turn cold
Wait...in the first bad ending, shouldn't Athena have been convicted of the murder of Clay Terran? Though that would've been even worse, so...
yeahhh, i would've thought athena was convincted for clay's murder and simon's sentence was upheld, which is even more messed up.
Good point. Great deductive abilities, as expected from the Queen of Dragons!
You’d think
in this specific part of the trial, Simon is confessing to committing the murder which derails the whole trial and Edgeworth is unable to prove that the confession is false. This means that you must prove it false and if you are unable to prove that it is false then the logical conclusion for all sides is "Simon is guilty"
Nice catch! I would take you in to be a lawyer, but I screwed up as evident in this video.
Holy shit the 1st one is the most down right depressing bad ending I've ever seen. Simon Blackquil, an innocent man, executed. Phoenix's daughter along with several other hostages, dissapear forever. Athena, never to enter another courtroom. Apollo, never to be happy again. And Phoenix, a broken man who's lost everything. Jesus Christ Capcom.
That first ending is so messed up, probably one of the worst endings in all of Ace Attorney. The second one is a bit more standard "Ace Attorney Game Over".
Bad ending 2: "You let the killer get away. Oops."
Bad ending 1: "An innocent man was executed. You failed to save the hostages and never see your beloved daughter again. Your co-workers fall into despair. It's all YOUR fault, and so you resign out of shame."
*Looks at desk*
*Welp theres my heart capcom*
"apollo stopped smiling" no i think i stopped smiling
yEAH Q_Q
I hope at some point, there is a case where the attorney badge has to be presented in court.
This, is my badge, and it proves that I'm a lawyer
@@TsukasaRui71684 And, This is infact Means, Whatever I say is correct , Your honor.
Maybe the final case of the last ever ace attorney game, the final culprit says “Why, Phoenix Wright? Why do you pursue the truth with such vigour?” or something like that and you show your badge “Because it’s my duty to my client as an ace attorney!”
When I got the 2nd Bad Ending, I just thought "Well at least I proved Athena and Simon innocent!"
Seriously, I remember when I failed Turnabout Samurai on the final day (after you prove Will Powers innocent) and he still got a guilty verdict!
It's nice that they make sure the bad endings make sense (even if some of them are just horrifically depressing...).
Yeah Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice were very good with bad endings for ‘specific’ scenarios
That second long Trucy shock animation is just really unsettling, plus the rest of it, I guess the miracle never happen..
"apollo stopped smiling."
Atleast it wasn't "Apollo became Von Karma but a defense lawyer and Phoenix hung himself and Trucy and the hostages were executed then add the second bad ending."
A little bit of formatting and rewriting can make that sound much more plausible, actually...
"Apollo eventually became the Von Karma of defense lawyers after the trial. He always got his verdict, but in the worst possible ways. Falsifying evidence, rigging witness' testimonies...there was no dirty tactic he wouldn't use to get his way."
"Pheonix couldn't live with his guilt, so he tried to hang himself...but ended up unable do it. Not because he had second thoughts. Rather, he did it incorrectly. He suffered a far worse fate: being stuck in a vegetative state for all eternity, fully aware of everything happening around him but being unable to do anything about it."
"The hostages were executed...all except for Trucy. Aura saw her abilities and used her robots to brainwash her into becoming her right-hand woman. She simply couldn't let such a vital tool escape her grasp."
"As the days passed, the dark age of the law...grew the darkest it could possibly be."
@@PearangeProductions...My. *Lord.* If that were the bad ending, it would have given the "Miracle never happen" one a run for its money. Probably stole it as well. Poor Trucy...
And I thought the bad ending to JFA was bad but comparing it to the first bad ending in DD, geez.
There are actually two other bad endings in this game. One is a third Bad Ending for Turnabout for Tomorrow, during the chapter 'Remembering the Killer'. The other is the Bad Ending for Turnabout Reclaimed, during the chapter 'Cross-Examining Rimes'.
1:21 I presented the wrong evidence on this statement and almost got a bad ending.
THANK THE LORD FOR THE TRY AGAIN BUTTON!
0:51 Blackquill be like: "Aha! Man i'm dead."
CURSE YOU, BERNKASTEL!!! THE MIRACLE NEVER HAPPEN!!!
"I'm an attorney, so you're lying." "Uh..." "GUILTY!"
FAST FACT: you only get the Phoenix hand over his head animation if you lose and it's the only animation that you can never see if you get a perfect play through
Tails Prower Oh yeah is does when Phoenix found out that he just got (avoid from being spoiled) suspected in the murder
Allencool12 Hmmm, no, after DePlume's breakdown. Also, what suspect?
Nielsisback Atena
Allencool12 Athena was not a suspect in Reclaimed, get ur facts straight
Nielsisback Can you remind me which one Turnabout reclaim is again
there are THREE bad endings. the one you missed is when Cykes confesses, you fail to answer any of the forced questions.
Oh jeez.... Even if it turns out okay in the real ending, Aura is actually worse than Shelly de Killer! At least he didn't actually disappear Maya in the bad ending.... ;_;
+David M And why would he need to do that? In JFA's bad ending, Phoenix gets an acquittal for Matt Engarde and Maya is released just as promised. In this ending Phoenix didn't keep his end of the deal.
David M If my memory don't fail me, there's also a bad ending in which Phoenix don't see Maya again. I think that shows an illustration of Phoenix walking with his head down.
-Matt gets the not guilty
-Adrian is in Prison
-Shelly Releases Maya as Promised (he doesnt know Matt wants to blackmail him)
-Phoenix leaves the town
-Never sees Maya and Pearl again
- Matt is blackmailing Shelly to kill his rivals/People he doesnt like
TnT and Investigations never happens
@@halitoyt Adrian's likely to get executed after that.
Never sees Maya again because she has just as strong a sense of justice as her elder sister did, the elder sister she thought Phoenix was following in the footsteps of. But he just proved her cared more about personal relationships than justice, effectively spitting on her sister's/his mentor's memory. She was utterly disgusted with him for that decision, of course she'd never want to see him again.
wow wtf such a depressing ending the game over from blackquill's execution O.o
He had no regrets. He achieved his goal of protecting Athena.
And to think that the first bad ending was Andrews being found guilty and Phoenix apparently wandering the streets.
Okay the ''Apollo stopped smiling'' touch some nerves in me... i mean, yeah, he lost his best friend, ended wound and Simon (Who he barely know ) was executed... but man, Klavier got his brother in prison(probably executed too) with his best friend, his mentor died and he found in AJ that in his debut in court he got Phoenix to get away from law for 7 years for something that his brother did and guess what? he doesn't stop smiling :I
+tabata188hab His mentor... died? Who is this "mentor"?
Godoat the goat Constance Courte was his mentor.
Ohhhh, right. I totally forgot about that.
+tabata188hab Apollo was essentially alone all his life, effectively abandoned by his mother. Klavier probably grew up in a stabler and less lonely environment.
+tabata188hab
Klavier had a second life, and knew full well that many loved him. He would have been smart enough to realise that what his brother did was pure psychopathy. He also probably further realised from this how he wasn't the one to blame for Phoenix's badge being removed, and that he was being played by a puppet.
Apollo, meanwhile, had an incredibly lonely life, lost almost everybody close to him in a matter of months, and had no second career or any 'loved ones' to turn to in the case of disaster.
Jeez this game was so easy that I didn't even know there WAS a bad ending. Hell, I didn't even know there was a consult button.
TotallyTheJiffyBot Me too. How to consult?
***** Thanks. I always reload when lose. That's why it doesn't appeared I think?
The consult button appears when you've gotten a penalty three times in a row. The only time I ever has to use it was during Professor Means's testimony, because I was tired and misunderstood one of his statements and kept presenting the right evidence at the wrong statement. It made me feel so stupid.
Thanks for doing the endings I can't bear to do.
This whole video is a bummer.
I think you forgot the bad ending where Athena was taken by Ms. Blackquill and never heard from again
I'm sorry Phoenix. I'm sorry you FRICKING DIDN'T LISTEN TO ANYONE EVER, PRESENTED YOUR BADGE, AND SCREWED EVERYONE TO HELL BECAUSE OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good job.
THE MIRACLE NEVER HAPPEN
BECAUSE MIRACLE DONT EXIST
"Your statement contradicts my attorney's badge!"
Also, there is a bad ending in Turnabout Reclaimed that hasn't been shown on RUclips yet, i think. You could be the first! Just fail to prove that Orla didn't kill Jack!
I hope Phoenix can put his badge back on, because Capcom just murdered my entire freaking soul. Jeez...
The last one you said, I've tried that before. All I get is a guilty verdict that is the same as any other case.

the words that broke my soul into many pieces
Are you German?
Ich lerne Deutsch.
I know just a bit but what
This is why us fans always save THE SECOND we are presented with a prompt or testimony.
Justic for all had a depressing ending which made me sad.
Apollo justice(first one) had a creepy ending which made me sleepless.
But this bad ending is traumatizing.
according to this comment section apparently someone not smiling ever again is worse than losing your daughter and never seeing them again, having a person that was innocent be executed the next day for a murder they didn't commit, a friend who literally dreamed and worked so hard to get said person acquitted of all charges, only for that dream to be crushed so they left the office, and removing your badge and quitting your job as a lawyer in shame because you failed to prove a person who was falsely convicted to be innocent.
I find these endings to be somewhat weird. Let's start with the first one.
Blackquill takes the fall and dies, Aura takes hostages and dissapears, that makes sense, but then Athena left the office? Even if Simon took the fall for Metis, Athena was still far from being aquited for Clay's murder, and Phoenix had just lost a daughter, because of his own incompetence, no way in hell he was in condition to get Athena out, she was likely to be convicted of that murder as well, especially after what Apollo dug out. She probably was in prison, possibly waiting to meet Simon on the other side. And apollo left the office earlier, when Phoenix left it i see no reason why would he meet apollo again.
As for failing to prove Phantom's identity, how is it connected with dark age of law not ending? DAoL was started when Phoenix was acused of evidence forgery, and Blackquill was sentenced for murder(the fact that 2 isolated incidents could destroy court system that much seems silly enough to begin with, but that's beyond point) Phantom had nothing to do with it. True he was a culprit in one of these cases, but still, Simon was aquited, and forgery case was solved already. They even knew Phantom was culprit in both Metis and Clay's cases, they just had yet to find him. There was no reason for DAoL to continue.
Zero the Faceless The dark of the Law is fueled by the utter lack of public trust in the court system. This distrust causes Attorneys to lose trust themeselves and resort to forgery. The Phantom escaping from under the law's nose would become the final straw that will cause people to reach the conclusion that you cannot win using legitimate means.
Actually, Athena studied the law and became a Lawyer in order to help Simon with his false charge. So, in the bad ending where Simon got executed, she must felt somewhat powerless and responsible for his death as well. Therefore she left Wright's office.
Isao Hayashi You misunderstand. The problem wasn't her choice to leave the office, but that she was in position to chose anything at all. She got away from Metis's murder, but she was still accused of murdering Clay, and Phoenix just lost his daughter, he was in no condition to defend, and Apollo wouldn't defend her, since he suspected she was in fact the culprit. She could either rely on officially given attorney, who was most likeny nowhere near the Phoenix's level of skill, or defend herself, but after failing to defend Simon, and pssibly believing she killed her mother, she wouldn't make it. So in that ending it was close to imposssible that she got away from Clay's murder, meaning she was in prison, possibly for lifetime, or even awaiting execution. She was in no possition to chose to leave anything.
Zero the Faceless Ah I see your point now. Hmm... then my guess is Capcom thought of some ways for Athena to get a not guilty verdict for Clay's case, or they just completely forgot about that.....
I just finished watching all the cases from this game.
Now I see the bad ending and watching this makes me feel depressed for a few minutes somehow :( I'm so glad it didn't turned out like this.
0:03 "This is my badge... and it proves that I'm a lawyer!"
This was absolutely depressing
If you thought the first 1 was already bad, it gets even worse.
Simon dying was his happy ending.
Simon died thinking this was the best thing he could do for Athena.
But ofc, this is just a theory.
(Also something that makes me think Simon wanted this was that they showed the sprite of him smiling, not a serious one)
0:58 I like how Trucy smiles then gets surprised and disappears in a flash. Literally the disappearing scream meme.
If Trucy can help fake her dad's getaway as a child and also fake a mafia attack as a teenager in Turnabout Corner, I feel like she could get away from Aura Blackquill.
Both were in court and involved humans who gets distracted and cannot hurt her. This involves robots which can murder you when you try getting out.
...I...like the second ending in this video more than the canon one...
and this is why we don't mess up trials, cuz our emo boi gets executed, the girl who became a lawyer to save emo boi just up and leaves and the guy saying ''I'm FINE!'' won't be smiling and saying that statement again... or we get in on that dark age of law action -_-
Apollo Justice = The smile never happen
Phoenix: *Presents badge* Your Honor, the testimony contradicts my badge!
Judge: No.
Phoenix: Fuck!
Nobody here acknowledges the fact that Phoenix, in the first ending, gets an innocent man executed. Yes, Trucy disappearing and Apollo being emotionally ruined are bad, but Blackquill is literally never returning because he was accused despite never murdering anyone.
More so, imagine how Athena would feel. She believed in Blackquill's innocence but couldn't do anything until she became a lawyer, so an ending like this would break her.
*So in the first ending an innocent prosecutor is executed on false charges, your own daughter + many other hostages are potentially dead, one of your co workers is emotionally devastated, one of them leaves office, and you just quit your job*
And then in the next one *the dark age of the law is never ending and the phantom is never found. The truth is never recovered.*
This game is dark..
This was so depressing.
1. Simon blackquill gets executed.
2. Aura and her hostages (including trucy) disappear without a trace.
3. Aura and her hostages are potentially dead.
4. Phoenix will most likely never see his daughter again.
5. Athena leaves the office out of guilt.
6. Apollo is emotionally ruined (turns out that apollo justice is not fine).
7. Phoenix takes off his badge for good.
Damn, this is dark.
Even darker than the JFA and AJ bad ending.
tbh when simon when black and white to show that he died i didn't notice it at first
Nahhhh they have me fucked up oh my god phoenix never sees his daughter again and simon dies and apollo never smiling and athena leaving.. .. ....... Im cryinfg

I read (havent gotten it yet though) about one more bad ending that says if you fail to answer one of Arura's forced questions she takes Athena and the hostages like Trucy and you never see them again, I will work on it when my dad brings my 3DS back to my place to try it for you, and see if that ending is true
I tried myself and yes, it exists
I also think there's an ending that if you take too many penalties before the trial even starts, the black screen appears and says, "You suck."

"Your Honor, the evidence that contradicts Blackquill's testimony is my attorney's badge, that proves that I'm a lawyer!"
that first one... what the fuck. i- wow.
*OBJECTION!*
*LOOK AT MY FUCKING BADGE*
good lord the first one, thank god I only failed at the 2nd segment
I came here because I never saw the first ending, but I wanna say it feels more worse because the second one is just “See ya suckers I’m outta here! Enjoy your dark age of law!”
And the Ultra Worst in this Bad Ending, Pearls has dislilusional and has Never!!! Forgets Phoenix Wright for this.
Yeah, Athena left the office...mostly by way of being thrown in prison because she was still under arrest on suspicion of murdering Clay Terran at the time.
Did we forget this little tidbit? Simon threw his life away for NOTHING because his mentor's daughter ended up getting (presumably) found guilty of a different murder simply because he refused to speak up when the time was right.
We all know that Simon did all of those stuffs to save Athena from being convicted. Consider that people calling him a "samurai", naturally it is his duty is to protect Athena till the end...
