Am I'm the only one that thinks it is ironic that a story that makes fun of the speech patterns of the AI is being read by a text to speech program in a flat monotone style with no punctuation
There’s an infestation of barely comprehensible AI text to speech apps on RUclips that I believe reflects the fact that while a lot of the people running these channels either don’t have English as their first language or don’t have confidence in their voice, and they’re compelled to use the most inexpensive solution available. I’m hoping all the money being thrown at AI by big players like Google will improve the situation soon but I’m not holding my breath.
@@markfergerson2145 I just started my own channel doing similar, using a free software, and with even a slight amount of care, it's easy to not have these glitches. it just takes a bit of care. the free version of capcut for the pc has like 40 free voices, and will speak 500 characters at a time. paste the text, generate the speech, listen to it, adjust anything that sounds wrong, then before exporting the video, listen to it all the way through. I can't crap out an episode in 10 minutes, it takes a few hours, but I'd like to think that the quality will be there and will eventually be rewarded. (this isn't my narration channel, this is my gaming one)
@@markfergerson2145 That's very true, tho I don't think current LLMs would make the amount of grammatical errors... That said I think it is more than just "use AI" to make these.

This story is very good
Will there be more.
Seconded. Despite the wretched AI reading of the story I want more. The morning after scenes should be fun.
How lazy are you? read the description
It seems very few of these channels actually listen/correct the reading glitches.

I love your story , but are there any other humans, beside the whites who you’re showing?
P
as the author, i can assure you that only seven of them are whities.
