In real life in Iraq and Afghanistan the general rule in coalition units is to always have an American with you, so that when things got hot-basically unlimited resources would come to your aide.
Heard an unverified story of a French unit calling for American support and a JTF detachment sent a mechanized platoon,CAS as well as assigned a few howitzer batteries for support inside of 45 minutes.
@@TheJackel27"use it or lose it" does pay off sometimes.
@@TheJackel27I remember a similar story, unverified of course, where UK, I believe, requested support, got denied by their higher ups, then they get a radio call to sit tight and that the Americans were flying that way now. I believeee it was returning from a nearby engagement so it wasn’t so much rapid response as ‘I’ll drop some ordi on the way thru.’
@@TheJackel27 I heard a Verified Story from German soldiers in Afghanistan. Where German helicopters couldn't start because of a sandstorm Americans had the same order but didn't cared so they started anyways landed under heavy fire sometimes didn't even touched the ground because the landing zone was so hot it was basically the floor is Lava.
Flew the injured to the base took up some Marines there and went back in.
This fight is known as the Good Friday battle.
I think on this day the number of casualties in the Afghanistan conflict doubled. 5 lives where lost many injured and even more scared for life.
I remember that saying also
Most badass line I heard in a long time was:
I'm old, I'm sick, and I got a bum leg. I figure I got about one good fight left in me.
Do you want it?
This story reminds me of that.
He must be a Marine. 🫡
Frank from N.C.I.S. the knife fight in the rain when he died in front of Gibbs house is where that's from.
I completely enjoyed this action/space opera, it was well written & narrated.
A huge cut above the numerous teenage sex fantasy scifi stories that appear to be written by AI.
I appreciate it 🙌🏼
Yep.
First of all, awesome job. I love the story. More please!
Secondly, I get the feeling that “oxidaze” was a mistranslation of his name. When metal rusts it is a oxidizing reaction.
So Rusty being called oxidize makes sense as something getting lost in translation.
🙌🙌
The author has a bunch of stores written on Reddit. Yes, Oxidize is a mistranslation of the name Rusty, and he gets annoyed when people use it. xD
When I heard the standard AI voice narrating this one, I thought it was going to be another POS, AI generated story as well. However, other than a few mispronunciations of a couple of words (which, honestly, happens with human narrators as well), this was a pretty good one!
Thank you so much for your feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to listen and share your thoughts. It means a lot!
This is one of the better voices. Actually it is a mystery why bad voices are still in use in some stories.
With respect, thank you for your service....
I appreciate that
This is a total Hoot! “Bob?!…is that what he’s calling himself these days”?
I hope this gets turned into a short film
I’d like to see what all “bob” has done including why he hates the bugs so much 😂
It was engaging, and unlike others, I listened to the end. It was kind of all0over-the-place though, and would have been better as a short series, where other topics that were "squished" in could have been developed.
Whoever wrote this is a Terry Pratchett fan.
RIP Terry 🕊️🕊️
I'm less concerned about the AI generating so much as what said AI is learning.
That being said, the future is inevitable. Hopefully it's more fun than most of the past.
Edit: the consensus that democracy demands is that sometimes your side loses. Then, in a functioning democracy you take up opposition and make sure that your opposition are doing their jobs properly instead of bitching like... well, modern politicians.
Also just saying.
How do you do the narration it sounds just like the voice from hitchhikers guide to the galaxy it’s 🔥🔥🔥
Good story 😂 Good job 😘
Glad you enjoyed it
rrofl, loved it
I’m glad you liked it 🙌🏼
you dont have to sell me im already in lol
Don’t threaten me with a good time. 😂
I'm glad you liked that
Go BOB😂😂😂!!!!
😂😂
BOB

Commercials every 4 minutes? A bit excessive that equals like 20 commercials
I feel you! Thanks for sticking around, though! 🙌
I got Premium of that reason.
@@michaelpettersson4919 Exactly what they wanted you to do.
Add blocker apps are a wonderful thing. You should try one.
HU RAHHHHHHHH 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Jesus how many commercials was that I lost track after 6
Sorry, it's Automatically from RUclips 😔
Sounds like someone is using the youtube app on their phone. Use a web browser on the phone. The frequency of ads is noticeably less. Sure the browser gets ads, but the app has way more ads and way worse ads.
@ thanks didn’t know thru the browser.
I forget it's a thing I have grandfathered in pricing.... I couldnt do it now. I m sorry
@@Kishandreth it's the other way around for me. Next to no ads on my phone in app. But on TV it's unusable. 5 mins 12 ads. Switched to phone 30 mins no ads.
Im sure that sounded threatening in British, but i eat bugs isnt really too intimidating
If you are the bug in question it may be to personal to be optimistic regarding your future
Nice voice

Wtf is with the amount of ads?
I watch u tube all the time. So much so it worth 16 a month for no comercals
Definitely agree. That it comes with yt music add free (and offline) as well is a nice bonus 😂
🙌🙌
Animals do this in real life...
Lost me pretty early on, but the misandrist comment with author affirmation killed it. Only made it 7:30 in before the female author managed to step in it.
Rescuing slaves from the enemy and not using weapons? 😆 Why do you make the women in this story so monumentally dumb?
This person is only synthesizing voice tracks for Reddit stories someone else wrote.
@@kayleekayt3306 Thank you, I am aware.
Consensus isn't democracy. Damn it, use the proper words!
They seem to have use the correct word in all uses that I heard through the story
@@jerryeverest7098 Then you need to up your english.
@noelsteele they were reaching an agreement, or a consensus. Reaching a democratic decision through votes would be reached by a different set of words to describe such, but ya know words are just so difficult eh?
@@jerryeverest7098 You literally proved my point. Consensus isn't democracy. Thank you.
I believe i see where you are comeing from now, but I never said they were the same thing. I said I believe they used the word 'consensus' correctly, but I can come to a consensus with someone, or a small group of people, without it being a democratic agreement with 500 people. That was what I meant by I believe they used it correctly
