How much does the soft box help?, I have a cheap light but its huge and cumbersome, I’m trying to. Simplify my studio. I use my living room to get the blurry background. I have a few rooms I could set up a studio but they are not deep enough. Thanks for all your help. When you let me know, Ill order this light through your link. I got want to know if the soft box helps a lot.
I hear you! I have a corner. LOL. Blurry background you can get with your lens. If you’re using a kit lens the aperture is like a 4 or 6 and the smaller that aperture number the better bokeh or depth of field you’ll have (blurry background). I use the sigma lens 18-35 on my canon m50. It’s the best lens period! The aperture on that is 1.8 so even if your just a few feet from something it’ll blur what’s behind you. I purchased the EF mount of this lens because that’s compatible with canon but if you have a Sony camera you’ll need an E mount lens. The canon m50 has an m mount for lenses because it’s mirrorless so I had to get a ‘speed booster’ to get my old lenses on my new camera. So the speed booster is like a converter you can attach lenses to your camera that aren’t that cameras mount. The speed booster creates a gap between the camera and the lens because of its depth and so whatever aperture your lens is it increases it. So my Sigma with the speed booster makes the aperature 1.4! Crazy bokeh! I just use the viltrox speed booster, it’s cheaper. Your image already looks good though👍. Yes! The softbox makes a huge difference! I recommend getting a good light like the Godox but not this one. Get the Godox ML60 with the softbox that comes with it, the fan is silent!! This fan has some noise and you won’t need 100 watt light. The ml60 uses a it’s own mount not a Bowen’s mount so that’s why I recommend getting that softbox. To really make your image pop, get a hair light and use lighting in the background. Hair light you can just put behind you the opposite side of the key light just to illuminate the top of your head and shoulders, this will make a big difference with your image! Good luck!
Yes, my first couple of video’s where with my Iphone, then i got a Nikon 5100 (Still didn’t know what aperture meant) for $250, then got a 1.8 lens for it. Now I just got a Sony ZV-E10 and love it, Then I got a Sigma 30MM 1.4, Ill see if you have a review on the other light, if not ill still order it through your link. I’m about to get Amazon affiliate, been crazy busy at work and this is a hobby but I’m having a blast with it……would have never tried it without your channel teaching me how to use LumaFusion
@@b4ugo Aperture is the number on your lens. The 1.8 is the aperture. 1.8 is really great. That’ll let a lot of light in and give you that bokeh, blurry background. Your channel is going to the moon my friend👍 I’ll get to say I knew him when he was just a young buck coming up. 👍
Cool light. I think a lot of the cheaper lights just use PWM ( pulse width modulation) to dim the lights and that’s what causes the flicker like your strip light was doing. I nice capacitor bank can help smooth the voltage spikes out. I had the build a set of LED lights for a chronograph and the capacitors really helped. Have a great day and be safe out there!
@@tammysypniewski1891 yeah i get the noise in my audio all the time, thats when i end up switching to the SM7B mic because it swallows that noise up quite a bit
Thanks for this. Looks appropriate for my needs.
Incredible video TAMMY. Thanks for sharing. Nice light. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an awesome night. Much love. Huge hugs
Thanks Tim. I’m almost done with the pike of stuff now. LOL
Awesome video review! Just bought one. How is it compared to the Sl60w? Much brighter?
Awesome video Tammy!
Thank you👍
I bought the GODOX ES45 based on your last review. It’s a great light especially with the remote control box. GODOX makes a great affordable light.
I use that light to go live and for my hair light, I love it too!
I have the 60. Like you, I would have gotten the 100 if it was around when I was shopping back then.
That was my first gear purchase that when I looked at it I was like woe I’m in this now, besides the camera of course.
I got the SL60W a while back. Very pleased with it
Thanks for poppin by and watching. I love that light too.
Hmmm 🤔 i might have to check this light out. Great video
A light I wish I could afford I really want one.
Do a good job with your new light video and it may get you noticed. 👍
Thanks for the review. I might get one. It may be next year though.
Thanks for poppin’ by to watch! 😉
I like that light dome mini you have, I need to get one because this light dome I currently have is not what’s up
That was an old video of the light dome mini, I actually gave that away on one of my giveaways. Do you have the new generation?

Thanks for poppin’ by to watch! 😉 The flicker on the RGB doesn’t bother me because I usually film in 24fps and there’s no flicker at that frame rate.
I have an SL60w but I’ve been wanting something brighter and something I can use the Godox app with.
It's a good light but that fan noise though.
