    IPL laser hair removal is a common misconception. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and laser hair removal are two different technologies. However, both are used for at-home hair removal devices.
    An IPL device uses broad-spectrum light to target and heat the melanin in hair follicles, leading to a reduction in hair growth. IPL emits multiple wavelengths of light, which are absorbed by the melanin in the hair, damaging the hair follicle and slowing down hair growth over time.
    A laser hair removal device, on the other hand, uses a single wavelength of concentrated light to target hair follicles. This focused light is more precise and can penetrate deeper into the skin, making it potentially more effective for hair reduction. Like IPL devices, laser hair removal devices also work by targeting the melanin in hair follicles, heating them and damaging the follicles to slow down or inhibit hair growth.
    Both IPL and laser devices are available for at-home use, offering a convenient and cost-effective alternative to professional hair removal treatments at salons or clinics. It's essential to read the instructions carefully and follow any safety guidelines provided by the manufacturer before using these devices at home.
    Keep in mind that both IPL at home and laser hair removal devices tend to work best for people with fair skin and dark hair. They might not be as effective for people with darker skin tones or lighter hair, as the light may not be absorbed as efficiently.

    How do you like the 2 of these so far?
    I got Braun first, but then stumbled upon Ulike, so I bought it as well. I only used them both for a little bit but I definitely like Ulike a lot more because of the cooling feature. I don't feel anything when using the first mode on Ulike, I can feel the second mode but it's not painful, third mode is on par with Braun's first mode when it comes to pain. I'd say Ulike's third mode is pretty manageable still. When it comes to Braun there is just more pain and I didn't even attempt to use the third more. I think I'll return Brown and keep Ulike. How's your experience so far?

    If you've been doing ipl hair removal for 14 years, then you're a billboard for the fact that it doesn't work?
    Not trying to be mean, but if it's still there 14 years later, then isn't that literally the opposite of "it works"?

    • @Baseem
      @Baseem  2 месяца назад +1

      Absolutely. Some places like my armpit it worked like magic. I barely have any hair there. Other places like my back it comes back but much thinner. bottom line it's not %100 and really depends on the area and hair color.

    I wouldn’t recommend using this at all especially if you are suffering from ingrown hairs. I had to stop using it due to the fact that they were getting worse after only one session. Please if you really have to use this, ONLY use it on the body and no where near the facial areas (especially if you are a man).

    The downside of the laser is that you have to shave first.
    It might not be an issue for guys but women should not keep shaving because the hair would eventually get thicker and that applies to everyone

    • @Baseem

      This is with all laser. And no shaving doesn't make hair thicker it's a myth

    • @JudyPatootie

      This is and has always been a myth. I have had multiple electrologists and dermatologists tell me so. Also, personal experience.
