Just ordered a mobula7 and stoked to rip around with this little guy. Shopping for a pile of extra batteries to run 2s right now. Will consider these! Cheers.
I use these sometimes on my Mobula7 and Trashcan. The discharge rate is really good and they provide good power and flight times HOWEVER, they are noticeable heavy. If you like quick, racey flying, the 300mah and even 250mah batteries are better. For ultimate quickness and control the 250mah can't be beat, they just can't handle full throttle well without really bad voltage sag.
Paul M I was wondering the same as you. I’m don’t have a 3D printer either and having just got my Mobula 7 V2 would love a couple of these holders as well
Thanks for the video. A bit late to the party here but just got my Mobula 7 and would really like to buy a couple of those 3D printer battery holders from you. Would this be something you’d consider ? 👍🏻
Thanks for the advice. Did you order your batteries from banggood? It seems that they are no longer shipping batteries to the UK. Do you know of any other cheap battery suppliers in the UK where I can order some of these? Thanks in advance.
Brexit has definitely disrupted shipping options from China. They will find a way again though. Amazon isn't bad, but also check the usual UK suppliers.
How long would u recommend these battery's stay fully charged on the bench for?? Before you would consider storage charging them? Just curious as i never here of this question being asked.
Well yeah thats why im asking how long should 1s batterys sit for when they are fully charged? some say you shouldnt leave them fully charged for any length of time others say a couple days are ok. I tend to try use them straight away but having them fully charged and ready to go for when the wind drops is great but sometimes the wind dont drop so i have to storage charge agian till the next day and so on so forth.
It would also be good to charge all my batterys the night before so when i wake up to fly at sunrise there ready to go but out of fear of ruining them i dont, what do u think to over the top??
I am wondering since the eachine trashcan has a slightly bigger motor 0803, would flight performance and time be similiar for the trashcan as the mobula with these batteries?
I ordered the Mobula 7, and am going to get the FS i6 or i6x transmitter soon after. I noticed the standard version comes with a 6 bank batter charger for the batteries but no power cable. And since I’m new I would like to get the wall cable, and I just want to be clear is the yellow port on the side where you can plug in a Lipo batter to charge the little ones a XT60 plug in? Also could I just use a regular DC cord with the barrel connector and plug that in the wall also? What would you recommend?
thomas mccauley yea I found a wall charger that has the XT60 connector on the end I might order. will the charger tell me the voltage I’m putting into them? Also will it stop when they’re full charged or does it keep charging them? And then also can’t you ruin them if you discharge them too far? If I don’t see the FPV Camera how will I know when they’re run down to the recommended discharge value?
@@LJT9393 I'm a noob in a similar position, but from what I have gathered you can set up your controller to beep at you when the battery gets to a certain value... I have an older transmitter so I'm not sure if it will work out for me.. if not I plan to get a Jumper transmitter. I'm sure the chargers won't overcharge. Even the cheapest ones do that much. Lipo's are dangerous they say. I keep mine in a steel box and am careful not to short them etc.
weeral1 yea I got my FlySky i6X transmitter set to throw an alarm when they hit 3.22V then I bring it in. Problem is my charger, it charges them up apparently to 4.40V on some ports. I had some suspicions about the accuracy of the display to be off, and it is WAY off! I took one of my batteries, flew it till I got the alarm. I believe there are 2 actually. I have the RX battery Internal sensor set to Low:3.12V; Alarm: 3.22V; High: 4.70V. I here a first beep that I’m pretty sure is the alarm one, cause then when I keep flying another one comes on that sounds more.. urgent lol. That’s the one I bring it in on. Anyway I flew one till I heard that 2nd alarm going off, took the battery out and plugged it into my charger right away to quickly check what it was reading. And the display said 3.72V or so.. that’s like 0.50V+ off! I’ll be ordering a new charger and some better, higher power and performing batteries next month. For now I guess these will do. Just sucks cause my charger cuts them off on some ports at 4.36V and 4.42V on others. But I was told by Joshua Bardwell, he has a YT channel all about this stuff and is incredibly knowledgeable about all this (betaflight actually lists him as 1 of the 3 contacts for support) he said since they’re HV batteries they can actually be charged up to 5.35V, and that would give me probably another 1.5-2mins flight time.
Nice review. I've ordered such LiPos for my mobula7, waiting for delivery. With stock batteries it is much charging and little flying, about 4,5 min only ( Nice fly record, but still original Mobula7 camera is really shitty (
In my opinion, the GBN batteries are not much more expensive and a lot more robust. The Uruav 300mah died pretty quickly in my UK65 and Mobula7, while the GBN still work well.
I spotted those last week and ordered some. Just waiting for them to arrive. Even better value and it'll be interesting to see what they weigh. I'll review them when they arrive.
Wery nice idea, love the tpu brackets for the new lipos. How does the extra weigt feel whith those on the mobZ? Must have some better inertia when flying acro, but it is quite hard to tell on the video since it is more of a stick feeling. It should in theory make it easier to fling it over stuff, if it still has enough power due to the increased weight.
@@WhirlyBloke thanks, I might try to get some of these to try out. I have alot of 1s, self built drones that can fit those batteries, and I need new batteries anyway. Great deal on those btw.
Probably the PH2 will limit the ampdraw anyway. I didnt want to take the batteries apart to solder a Red JST on it so i just went for the 300 2S nanotechs. Still get over 5 minutes of flight-time with 3blades and 80% throttle limit.

QuadCloudNine very true, I notice a difference in 300mah and 250mah
But u only get 2 mins fly time or less on the trashcan
@@verofpv6152 ya, less than 2 mins with 250's. It's fun though!
common! a trashcan stock battery weight is about 7-8g, you can just parallel it and get 600mAh with about 15 gramm on 1S
Have these batteries, havent flown them yet, but im excited to.

They are cheap batteries and perform fine, but you need to look after then.

the trashcan frame doesn't need an adapter for running larger 2s

Me personally, I am using a random plug I found around the house. As long as the plug is between 7-25 volts
And yes the x-t60 port allows you to power the charger with a Lipo. Just make sure to keep an eye on the input voltage so you don’t kill your Lipo!
