You want a mob6 for indoors, a mob7 1s for light freestyle outside and indoors cruising, and you want a 2s mob 8 for outdoor riiiiipping! Haha. Theyre all super fun and you can't go wrong! Get all 3! Also, they're awesome for part bundles for other builds like I said! I've probably purchased 10 mobulas in the past year and a half and I use them for parts and builds. They're the best!
I have the Mobula6, I upgraded the motors to SE0802-KV25,000 and it rips now, even with bi blade props. I enjoy flying it outside but I can definitely feel it when the wind blows. I want to get one of these Mobula8s and start flying with 2S. Only thing is I don't want to go too big because I have neighbors that I don't want to annoy, so the smaller more inconspicuous quads work better for me.
Not only is this a great whoop as is but it's also the perfect whoop to buy for parts! You can buy this and a carbon frame from jacks 3d printing and then you have the perfect components for a rocket race 2s 2inch or a star lord or many other builds! It's the absolute best and most cost effective way to get all the parts you need for a 1-2s ripper!
Just for the onboard SDR, I still prefer the Larva X HD. Does woop at well so it can fly indoor. It'd a pain a swap woop/toothpick so I guess you mostly would use one or the other and almost never swap.
I am really in doubt of buying a Mobula7 vs a Mobula8. I'm still a total beginner in the world of FPV. I have 0 experience flying actual fpv drones (only flown heli's in the past, and DJI drones) I do have multiple hours of experience on a sim. I will probably mostly be flying indoors in the beginning but would love to move outdoors quickly when I get more comfortable. What would you recommend for me? a mobula 7 or a 8, starting with 1s and moving to 2s outdoors?
@@HalfChrome thank you for your reponse! I just ordered the mobula 8 with a bunch of 2s batteries. Do you have any advice for adding a throttle cut to a switch of the Jumper T-lite v2?

I agree. I have the analog as well and it was the most fun I’ve had in a while. I got into FPV in 2015 but had a three year break and just getting back into it. Just like in the past after flying the Mobula 7 and now the 8 I came to a conclusion that to enjoy flying outdoors you need at least a 2 inch prop and the M7 is tough flying outdoors but fun indoors. In the past the tiny hawk was my go to since I live in NYC.
I have a newb question. I'm thinking about moving up to a 2s but I currently have a good many betafpv bt2 batteries (450 & 550 mah) I'm still learning the hobby, but I was wondering if I would be able to replace the connector on this with the double BT2 pigtail instead of the PH connector that you mentioned and just stack some batteries that I already have ? Looks like it should work.

I have a question, flying a Mob 8 analog ERLS version, using a Radiomaster TX16s, with a Happy Model ES24TX module I can go maybe 100 yards before I lose video/connection with the drone. I am using the stock antenna for the module and the drone. Would you mind sharing your radio and drone settings cause if I go around a house or small building or behind some trees I no longer can see the video and or control the drone, thanks.

Just gonna warn everyone that this isn’t a good starter drone especially for flying outside.
