Have never seen the beautiful tree with the yellow flowers before, stunning.
Thanks For all you faithful and reliable Thursday videos over the past few years.
Thank you very much, MP 😉😊
You are most welcome. Keep up your good work. @@tommyandpeter
It was 32°F this morning in Bellingham Washington. I envy you on your lovely, warm beaches!
Next week in Texas we are finally getting some cold weather coming. Looking forward to it. It was such a hot summer
We were glad we were successful in extending our summer in Cyprus, at least for a week 😊
The flowers on the dining table are Stelitzea, sometimes called Bird of paradise, they grow in the wild in South Africa.👍
Where's the beer Peter? Fridge is almost empty! 😃 Is nice you get to enjoy many vacations and trips! This looks nice too!!!
Ew, who drinks beer? Certainly not us 😀 We tried Sangria instead 😋
We love going on these short European vacations and luckily it's quite affordable 😁
The basil is impressive, it doesn't get quite as big here and also dies back in winter. Honeymoon from hives that feed on basil and eucalyptus is of the best I've tasted, have only found it once. ❤
What amazed me about Cyprus and the town of Paphos is how much the landscape, Palm Trees, and sea promenade reminds me of my home in San Diego. We also have an abundance of purple jacaranda trees which line the streets. They are pretty but very messy when they drop the purple flowers. My two favorite elements of your vlog were the fun and colorful chairs at the ice cream shop, and Peter posing as a work of art! Thanks for sharing guys!
So interesting that it reminds you of San Diego. We really need to visit one day!
You chose interesting moments from the video 😁
Peter, you are an excellent vacation tour guide. And the beach looks wonderful
Thank you, glad you like my babbling 😁
Very few people, no wonder it’s so clean…great place to hang out.
Yes, we really liked it 😊
You boys sure are spending a lot of time at beaches running around in your cute little bathing suits. Keep those videos coming! You two are too cute! 😊
Thank you. We don't want to be overdressed on the beaches 😁 More videos are coming 😉
You guys take the best vacations. Enjoy. ❤❤
Thanks Andrew, glad you like our vacation. They are definitely different to what most people expect from vacations 😁
Nice place you have there . I never got to Pathos while i was stationed in Episkopi Garrison during my time doing National Service in the Royal Signals 1958-60 , great weather there for sure. That is why me and the Misses migrated to Queensland Australia for the sunshine in 1964 from Edinburgh.
Thank you. Glad you were able to see it at least through our video. Life is definitely easier in nicer warmer weather ☀️😊
The harbour view love it . Guys thank you I have great memories of Paphos .❤️❤️
Hi Anne, we are glad we could bring you back to Paphos 😊
Another excellent video. You guys are building so many memories. I envy you both. 🌴
Thank you. It's the best going on these short holidays, we love it 😊
I loved every minute of your vacation. I would like to go there.
Aww, thank you, we are happy to hear that 😊 Cyprus is great, we recommend 😉
Awesomeness! 🎉
Thank you 😊
Awesome lunch on the beach guys.👍❤
Thanks 😊
WOW THIS IS SOOOO AWESOME. Would love to live there year round. LOVE ❤️ 😍 💖 the ocean. Love you guys soooo much
Thanks Kristine, the house was amazing, we definitely recommend 😊😁
Hello guys. This is a great video. It is our first time watching your videos. You two are absolutely LOVELY. Now we are trying to watch all your past videos to know you two better ☺☺ This location in Cyprus is really stunning and staying in a house facing the sea is absolutely awesome! We are also a couple 👩❤👩 and we like places with very few people, mostly if they have our same lifestyle 🌈. Well, we are eager to watch your next video. Have fun in your holidays. Cheers from the USA
Hi, thank you, glad you liked the video 😊 Good luck with the old videos, some of them are quite bad, especially from the first year - we were very camera-shy and sometimes also struggling with English 😀 We loved Cyprus! We found so many hidden places, especially pretty beaches. There will be a new video today with beautiful spots that we discovered 😉
Greetings to the USA 😉
What a BEAUTIFUL town square ! Everything looks looks so Clean .
Thank you, in the end Paphos was a nice town 😊
Amazing!!!
Thank you, Jodie 😊
Another uplifting sunny video for winter time, nice scenery, lovely house you are staying in, near the sea and not many people around, thanks guys. 😎
Thank you, it was great for us, we enjoyed it a lot 😊
Well guys, you’re following in the footsteps of me and the husband! We were in Paphos about 15 years ago and we too found that the old town evaded detection. We climbed to the same height and all we found was some run down streets and an abandoned mosque!! The promenade was just as noisy and busy as seen in your video. Also…the ice cream was horrid. We did however enjoy several hours exploring the tombs of the kings, which is a massive (Roman?) cemetery cut into the rocks.
Sidewalk? Shock, horror, Peter!! It’s a footpath: 🇬🇧. 😉
Hope there’s more from Cyprus next Thursday. (We’ll skip over Peter’s budgie smugglers without comment!). 😳😉
Your pal in Ireland, Stefan x
It's a very well-hidden old town 😁 Maybe it was a good thing that we didn't try the ice cream. But we think it would be delicious 😁 We didn't visit the tombs of kings; we are not that interested in archeological sites but we saw some interesting pictures on the internet.
Haven't heard of footpath until now, haha 🤪 There are more videos from Cyprus coming 😉
@@tommyandpeter Footpath is the correct term, of course. 😉 You missed a corker of a place by not visiting the Tombs of the Kings. It was amazing. When me and the hubby were in Cyprus we tried ice cream widely, but it really was not very nice, so we gave up. Usually, we’ve found really good, tasty ice cream in Spain, Portugal and Italy. 🍦🍦🍦 I’ll look forward to next Thursday’s further serving of delights from Cyprus.
Beautiful beaches and beautiful beach boys!!! Thank you for taking me somewhere I have never been or will ever be. Such a lovely place! Your accommodations were very nice as well.
It was fortunate that you were able to find areas that were not very crowded. And Tommy, go ahead and get yourself an ice cream. I'm sure you will walk off those few extra calories!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you, glad you liked tagging along with us 😊 We always like not very crowded areas, so we were glad there were some in Paphos. We'll have ice cream maybe on the next vacation 😀
Wow beautiful house lovely couple enjoy
Thank you 😊
Guys, you really take us to discover an exclusive holiday away from mass tourism. As they say, authentic and unconventional adventures. You have never thought of opening a tourist agency obviously - only for solitary tourists - "Robinson Crusoe holidays". See you next time R and D 😎🌎🏖🗼🗽⛩🏝
Thank you R&D 😊 Yes, that's definitely what we enjoy, being away from mass tourism 😁 We are so different to most people, it would be interesting to have a travel agency for solitary tourists, haha 😀
Yes, gelato is mandatory every holiday, and vacation, and 🎉
Hi Gina, we shall have ice cream on the next vacation then 😁
Love the place, so close to the beach and private. I would have preferred mermen as art though.😂❤
Haha, that would definitely be interesting 😁
I want to be in that private paradise right now!!!!!
Beautiful house and the view from the terrace is really enchanting.
Falling asleep listening to the music of the sea is a priceless and unique experience.
Paphos and Aarhus (Denmark) were selected to be European Capitals of Culture in 2017.
Did you visit the Tombs of Kings?
Amazing places guys. Kisses.
Thank you Liliana, we absolutely loved our time in Cyprus in this lovely house 😊
We didn't know that about these towns being selected, so interesting! We didn't visit the Tombs of Kings, we prefered going to the beach, haha 😁 But seriously, we needed to keep some places unvisited for the next time when we are in Cyprus 😎
Ok now guys. Last week you were telling me about toiling away for coal miner’s wages. This week ya’ll are ballers rolling up to a mansion on it’s own private beach. 😵💫. I will say that you work very hard and deserve each moment on holiday. Even in a mansion with a private beach. ❤❤
Hi Greg, you are right, we deserve it, especially when one of us is the King 👑😁 It wasn't that expensive though, the whole house around $100 per night (which is definitely cheaper than staying in resorts with other people). We were there for 6 nights so you can see that it's not something that would bankrupt us 😋 We love all these unique accommodations on our vacations; you just need to be smart and know what you are looking for 😉
FYI....there is not always a $ button. I had to search for mine and found it under the ... on the far right of the subscribe button. Great video Gentlemen!
That's RUclips and its neverending design changes. We have no control over that 😃 Glad you found it, we appreciate it 😊😉
-oh yes so many words for basically the same thing, terrace-balcony-patio also lanai-porch-deck i am sure there are more names and each one has a slight differing definitions depending which regions you are
you called that thing in the bathroom a sink, when i was little i remember people said lavatory which i hated that word since i had difficulty pronouncing it, now i hear most people call it a sink in the bathroom too
i would assume that fake plant it fake because it is an orchid which i think is expensive, but the plant corpse on the table looks to resemble what i know is a bird-of-paradise, and i want to call that tree in town a lilac (well that what it looks like to me)
There are many possibilities in English, same as with our languages. It can get quite complicated, haha 😁 In the town it wasn't lilac - they grow in more moderate climates, like the Czech Republic - we have lilacs in our garden. The purple flowers looked kinda similar but the whole plant was completely different. Later we found out it was Jacaranda mimosifolia - a sub-tropical tree native to south-central South America but often grown in the Mediterranean countries 😉
ooo i see you stayed in what we call in croatia prvi red do mora ( first row to the sea) in 99% cases illegal building used as a cash cow... flooded with every big storm and huge waves. but aside of that, great video, i saw parts of cyprus wich i never visited. you guys realy geting great in this, in year or 2 you could make like traveling documentaries or simmilar, like a podcast with bunch of local myths or something.. not sure what is english expression, we call it putopis, like a travel record or something longer than 23 minutes or maybe to have 2 videos per week.
coz now you evolved as a content makers and your videos start to be great in a sence that not just quality, but everything, even your property videos contain huge numbers of details in picture and in informations, it is in sam e time entartaining and educational, if that makes sence what i am saying.
anyway dont mind me i am in a wired stage lol.. filled with ideas and plans, wich is strange, this never happened to me in this time of year, this if first time coz usualy i am depressed and on meds in this time of year. this year is just different, we ae going to iceland on thursday will stay till after 3 kings/wise men.
i am planing to go back home to iceland or to move completly to my ''cottage''. it all dependes about miron's decision, but he does not know yet that my decision will be made upon his, coz i have no clue is moving to iceland something what he wants. all i know is that i cant stand my life in croatia and croatia at all at least not in a city... i miss iceland so much, my whole life was left there and i always planed to go back there, to my cozy apatament, to visit blue laggon again, to hunt aurora on sky while siting in a geysir, i miss a sound of a language that i even started to watch the most trashiest icelandic movies..yeah as i said wired stage.... btw batery in my keyboard is low so sorry for missing letters and typos etc....
Haha, sounds interesting with such houses. We doubt this one was illegal because it was in the middle of a village with a registration number and everything. Luckily there wasn't any water damage visible 😁
Would be nice being able to create such travel videos. Sadly nobody is interested, our audience is very small and almost 100% old gay guys from the US 😊😁 No general public here. But we are glad you like our videos and you notice that they are getting better.
Wow, looks like there is a big decision ahead of you. Cottage or Iceland, quite difficult to choose. Good luck 😉
@@tommyandpeter guys the world was not built over night.comparevhow many subscribers you had year ago or 2 years ago. Views too. Many people watch and never subscribe. Part of your problem is that your videos never show as recommended or trending. Most of us stumbled on you by accident or watching someone else. I was watching husband and husband and saw your comment, left to check and when I saw you are from Europe I was intrigued. When I discovered you are fellow slavs well I was like ok gonna give it a shot. 3 videos in and I was hooked.
Your content is more for mature audience 30+ years in European sence, 35+ in USA sence lol. Coz younger people and superficial people follow more party nudity, se%x gossip, drama stuff. You know for yourself that many big RUclipsrs dissapiered or got canceled coz they did not mature and grow with their audience. I mean is pathetic to watch 30+ old guy acting and talking about stuff which were funny when he was 22 like his audience. Give it a time. People are interested but did not discover you yet. Your content matures with you if you get me. I am pretty sure if you were 22 or 25 your content would be different, more focused on university life and stuff you liked and preferred when you were in that age. You are in an age when people start to domesticate, build a home, have vacation property, have hobbies wich are directed towards relaxation, to travel to more quite areas etc.. just continue to do it the way you like, people will come.
P.s. Croatian prvi red do mora often got papers obtained on different ways, false registration number etc, greeks are simmilar to our coastal people in many things when it comes to sea buisness haha...
De blue tree is a muscari armeniacum.
The yellow tree is a tecoma stans.
And Peter: he splashed you out of love haha!
Haha yes, absolutely out of love 😁
We found on the internet that the blue one was probably Jacaranda mimosifolia... Could that be?
@@tommyandpeter
Of course it couldbe but I have an app, named Picture this: you can take pictures of the plant and then it gives you the name of it? 😊
@@wtkoemans we often use probably something similar - iNaturalist 😊
@@tommyandpeter
That is funny, I immediately go and try this app too! Thank you.
23:34 With all the publicity you do for Lidl, you should ask for sponsorship ! 😉
Haha, maybe we should. I was embarrassed when Tommy mentioned Lidl again but actually Lidl should be honored 😀
So far, Cyprus doesn't seem as interesting to you as journeys you have made to other Mediterranean lands. Would you go again? When I lived in Germany I always wanted to go to Crete and Knossos. Any chance you could take me there one day? 🙂
We knew Paphos wouldn't be that interesting and breathtaking to us, but we still wanted to see it and it was quite lovely in the end. Otherwise we loved being in Cyprus. You'll see in the upcoming videos but we would return immediately if we had a chance 😁 It was more relaxing to us because we did less sightseeing, we were in less of a rush to see everything. And instead we were enjoying the warm sea and empty beaches, which we absolutely loved 😊
Stay subscribed and turn on notifications and maybe one day a video from Crete will pop up. We will definitely go there one day, that's for sure 😊
@@tommyandpeter Wherever you go, even if it's just to your berry bushes, I love your commentary, camerawork, editing, and subject matter. Don't worry I'll stayed subscribed; it will be an extra treat the day I see "Crete" in the title line! 😀
