I think what I want to see from smash 6 is for the dlc character trailers to somehow make a story, as in one character would be announced in a cool cinematic, and each cinematic would end in some sort of cliff hanger teasing the next character very slightly, or even not at all, but at least to be able to continue through a story of collecting all these new characters, till the final character gets announced. The trailers all together in the end could wrap around to the original game announcement cinematic, and then a flash of smash 6 logo. That would be a true wish
There's a youtuber called King Bob who makes trailers like this. You just have to watch till the end of the video for each of his trailers.
I think it's safe to say that Geno's chances have skyrocketed with a Super Mario RPG remake in the works.
Let's not forget Scorpion for Moral Kombat, he was my most wanted character since brawl.
If NetherRealm, and the community, were okay with toning down the violent themes of the characters and the series the character is associated with, Mortal Kombat, then I could definitely see Scorpion as another fighting game third party character. That’s a fighting game character and series with a legacy and significance in gaming history

The lack of Klonoa in Smash, is a bit odd, considering he is a classic, but niche character. I’d expect him to at least be an assist trophy. I’d be down for him as a fighter, but he may be too niche for Nintendo to put him in sadly

I have 5 essential characters I love to see, I don’t expect all of them but I would be happy with at least one of them.
5. Meowscarada- I just love the design and we don’t have a fully evolved grass type starter.
4. Tails- Mainly because Sonic needs more reps.
3. Indie Character (Shantae, Shovel Knight, etc)- I know we got Steve but if anything I wouldn’t mind seeing indie reps in Smash.
2. Crash Bandicoot- He was originally a rival to Mario and Sonic so just seeing them together would be historical.
1. Rayman- Ever since his debut as a trophy in Smash 4, Rayman is the one character I want the most. I know he’s not as iconic as Sonic or Banjo but that doesn’t mean he’s an impossible pick.
Meowscarada is a cool idea for a smash fighter. Personally I would want Metal Sonic over Tails. Also Smash Bros. has never had a true indie rep (Minecraft was bought by Microsoft). I would love Shovel Knight or Enter the Gungeon or Fall Guys, Among Us, Downwell, etc. to get into smash, but I just don't see it happening.

I thought that SSBU IS SSB6.
I mean, it IS the sixth installment of the SSB series.
Both Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS are considered the fourth installment of the Super Smash Bros series, as these titles are different versions of the same game.
Which is pretty much why the competitive scene calls the Wii U game, Smash 4, and I think the community is correct in their assessment.
However, Sakurai does refer to them as separate installments so make that of you will.

Sorry, but half of this list can’t happen. Sakurai has stated that only VIDEO GAME CHARACTERS can be in smash.
Though I would like to see Riku or Kiari or even Roxas in the next game.
One character I really want in Smash (even though they have no chance) is King Bob-Omb. I would loe to see him in it and technically he could count as a retro character.
Why wish for a 6th Smash Game when we can do it ourselves? Nintendo would NEVER add someone like Minori from Toradora for example.

Deadass, all I want from a new Smash game is Kamek getting an invite under the Yoshi series, thats it.
My most wanted feater would be new gameplay "gimmicks" on stages that could be used in competitive. I think that's what they tried to do with ladders by adding and promoting ladder attacks as if it was a big thing. So like why not have some legal stage layout with one or two ladders to see how people play and adapt around them. Other than ladders i would like them to change the way watter work again to be able to be added in competition (maybe have stages with floating bubbles of water like in new super mario bros) and idk make it so that being in water allows for new movement options. New attacks or combos. So that it's interesting to be in water

Spyro and Geno are still the two characters I want in a new Super Smash Bros. But Crash, Waluigi, Master Chief, a lot of these are characters I would like to see added, As for movesets, Mario being able to use Cappy from Super Zmario Odyssey, his Spin from Super Mario Galaxy, The Ground Pound, his Hammer would be great, Link having more of his Champions abilities, and Paraglider in his recovery would be good ways to spice up the veteran characters. They need it.
I couldn’t agree more! All of those additions would be exciting, or at the very least, really fun additions. And Mario, while he’s fun to play, really needs his moveset upgraded. Link is one of my mains, and I really like how he plays, but that does not mean I’m opposed to him getting some interesting changes that reflect the new direction the Zelda series has been taking.

Fox and Falco actually have more stuff they could reference as their moveset than you think. You mentioned Starfox Adventures but not Starfox Assault, even though they're on the same console. Assault has about half the game as ground missions where you can pick up a variety of weapons like Machine/Gatling Guns, Rocket Launchers, Sniper Rifles, etc. It would also be cool to see Fox and Falco's shield changed to look like the Barrier Sphere, which renders you completely invincible for a short time. It could even not shrink as it takes damage and instead change color from blue to violet, and finally red before breaking.
Also the Belmonts' bad recovery isn't really referential to their games. Their low jump height and bad air control sure, but the Uppercut Up-B taken from SotN's Richter mode actually goes super high in that game.
I also disagree on needing to rework the Belmonts and Robin. The Belmonts need some tweaks and Robin definitely needs major changes, like changing Up-B so it has more variants that use more or less of the Wind Tome so that he doesn't lose his recovery so quickly and can also recover from farther if needed to make up for it being very vulnerable from above, but not full reworks. Robin is already one of if not the most unique FE character in the game.

@@dylansmith5206 Krystal I can see using her staff as a weapon, plus magical attacks with it that Fox used in Starfox Adventures, but I have a hard time imagining a moveset for Slippy or Peppy. All 3 existing Starfox characters are already pretty similar to each other, we don't need more semi-clones.
Universality Of Super Smash Brothers
It's weird to me that the kirby community wants bandanna dee the most. Like, you look at all the colorful characters and the modified waddle dee if your pick? He's definitely not a bad pick, but it just feels weird.
Ezio would be awesome. But then, they should include the yelling of a certain german youtuber called Rainer Winkler

Ikr! She’s an awesome character who’s had a lot of relevance to the DKC series, with DKC 3, and with her absolutely being the best partner in Tropical Freeze! The DK series deserves some more love in Smash.
She was originally going to be a part of a tag team with diddy Kong kind of like ice climbers so I wouldn’t be surprised if she gets added assuming they ever make another smash game

I have crazy suggestion : Popeye The Sailor-man. Nintendo made a Popeye game right after Donkey Kong in 1982, plus the character will be public domain next year.
Knuckles in Smash over Eggman all day. He’s already in smash ultimate as an assist trophy. I think egg man would basically be an echo of bowser jr.
Arle and Reimu are my 2 most wanted characters. I understand not wanting to talk about them if you don't know the franchise (though to be fair, most Touhou fans haven't played any of the games, and some don't even know it is a game franchise first). Here are some ideas I came up with for how they'd play.
Reimu: Bullet Hells as a genera always have your hurtbox be smaller than your sprite, so I thought she could use the Bowser Jr. gimmick. Instead of it being the head and the cart, Reimu would have most of her body would have a 0.75% multiplier, attacks that hit the center of her model would take 1.25% more damage. The numbers may need some adjusting, since she would be a floaty lightweight, but she would also be a zonner with Homing Amulets and Needles acting how they do in Touhou. If you want to see where her grounded attacks would primarily take from, play Touhou Suimusou (7.5) ~ Immaterial and Missing Power. She also gets Peach's Float ability.
Arle: Puyo Puyo's entire gameplay loop is to match colorful blobs into combos to send over massive damage. So why not have her have a combo mechanic. The more consecutive hits she gets, the higher the damage of each hit, growing exponentially. As for her attacks... Most of her magic comes from the Sorcery Saga franchise, where Fire and Ice Storm do exactly as their name implies, a basic attack with Fire and Ice magic. In the Sorcery Saga series, these cost no mana to use, so they can be used for tilts. Bayoen in Sorcery Saga puts enemies to sleep, but for Smash, I will lift the animation from Puyo and make it a jumping recovery with the flowers acting as hit boxes.
Can you tell I have a hyper fixation on two characters that are likely not going to make it in due to their lack of international relevance? Also, Reimu would count as a "Popular Indie character" since the entire Touhou franchise has been made by 1 guy since 1997 and is still going strong. There is also a shit ton of fan game. I would bet money that there are more Touhou fan games than Sonic fan games.
Reimu would more likely float the same way as Project M!Mewtwo or Pomme from Rivals of Aether, in my opinion.

Wait. Buring money is against the law? My childhood middle school burnt money in front of everyone every year to shock the children and teach some sort of life lesson about materialism.
While that is not an entirely terrible message to send to kids, that method of teaching is technically illegal in the US, with a sentence of up to 10 years in prison, alongside various fines. However, it is very rare that anyone is ever prosecuted for burning money, so while that is illegal and not a great idea for a public school legally, I can see why they never got in legal trouble for it.

you think that Little Mac, Simon & Richter can't recover and think K. Rool, Plant & Sora are unpunishable? K. Rool & Plant and some of the easiest to punish recoveries in the game
Plant is definitely easy to punish for a lot of characters but I wouldn't say they're one of the easiest to punish, a decent amount of characters don't have a good option to easily deal with their recovery, though I guess I see where you're coming from if your main(s) have a really good disjointed move/strong projectile
k rool is definitely not one of the easiest to punish, you usually need a large disjoint or counter to challenge the propeller, they have up air(and sometimes down b) to stall/mix up the recovery timing a bit, projectiles to cover themself, and belly armor, a counter/reflector, or super armor to get past attacks they can predict the timing of/react to
Little mac's recovery is honestly decent as long as nobody touches him offstage, he can recover from the side blastzone at ledge level but basically anything that sends even slightly down usually kills him, his vertical recovery is horrible and if he gets hit offstage after using his double jump or side b he's probably dead
also Simon and Richter's recovery is horrible, what are you on about, it's extremely predictable unless they somehow manage to land a down air on a projectile you threw at them, they have like 2 options most of the time and essentially no mixup, they either use a whip move or up b, and if they get hit after their double jump they just die, their recovery is legitimately worse than little mac's, at least mac has mild mixup potential, a counter, and super armor on neutral b, Simon and Richter usually have no way to defend themselves

Personally I think it would be wise to put Zelda and Sheik back together and let the freed slot occopied by Toon Zelda/Captain Tetra.
Speaking of Zelda characters I think Midna + Wolf Link, with Midna * Shadow Wolf as alt or vice versa, would be a nice addition. I mean: They made the Duck Hunt Duo work. Another character on their fours shouldn't be that complicated. And yes, even Amaterasu would be nice to have, or Wolf Link with an Ameterasu alt color.
Speaking of characters on four wheels instead i'd love to see Coupe from Wild Trax/Stunt Race Fx. Who need a Disney Cars character when Nintendo had their own cars like characters? Coupe would fit like retro characters or WTF character.
And speaking of WTF characters, one that would catch everyone unprepared would be Tara Croft from Spyro 3. Yes! That NPC mouse parody of Lara Croft. She could be a bunus DLC character if you buy both Spyro DLC and Lara Croft DLC.
Arcade Bunny would be another good WTF character IMHO. His instant metamorphosis would put up a funny moveset.

Honestly rather than Nintendo making a new smash game I think it would be better to get a new fighter pass for smash ultimate because then we don’t have to cut characters and they could just keep on adding to this game.
I definitely could see them going the route of making a Super Smash Bros Ultimate Deluxe, or “Definitive Edition” on their next console, and launching it with new characters and stages, alongside introducing a Fighter Pass or two down the line.
But I’d be happy with a third Fighter Pass too, Mario Kart’s Booster Course Pass has shown the viability of adding content to a game years old, but owned by so many people on a popular console. It’ll likely come down to Nintendo’s roadmap in these later years of the Switch.

Smash for 3DS/Wii U are different versions of the same game, as described by Masahiro Sakurai in his Game Concepts video on the titles. Furthermore, he described both titles as the same entry, Smash 4, in his Game Concepts video on Kid Icarua: Uprising. This makes the next Smash Bros. the 6th entry.
They need to add Pauline, Captain Syrup and Professor E Gadd as fighters.
If there is a Smash 6, I will vote for the Villain Expansion pack. Would you agree that Waluigi, Gruntilda, Dr. Eggman, and King Boo should enter the game for the first?
The second expansion pack should be fist fighters since I like the Street Fighters, Tekken, and SNK to stay. I suggest adding Geece, M. Bison (Vega), Jin Kazama, and Captain Commando as the mascot of Capcom to enter the Smash Bros. Universe.
The third expansion pack should be sword fighters. Here are good examples: Vader, Devil May Cry (Dante), Nightmare (Soul Calibur), and Ryu Hayabusa.

7:15 "I wouldn't think it'd be too far fetched for doomguy to use a weapon wheel to access a variety of weapons" If they do ever add doom guy there's almost 0 chance that'll happen, that would use up a very significant amount of development time which could be spent elsewhere if they went with many of the other, easier approaches to his moveset, most likely being something similar to the type of moveset you mentioned for master chief at 8:40. They'd have to model and (maybe) make a different moveset for every gun, make an animation for every single move that uses them,(most likely different for every single weapon they decide to add, even if it's the exact same move but with a different weapon), and code every single move and/or hitbox that the weapon changes, which would likely be a lot of them considering that doom is an fps game. Also the shulk monado arts doesn't really make sense to refrence, it's basically just a selection wheel of easily changeable stats plus some particle effects that change color depending on which one is selected. The only thing kinda close to this scale would be Steve due them redesigning all of the terrain just so he could build and mine, but that was only because it's an essential part of their game, you wouldn't have Minecraft without mining or crafting, I can almost guarantee that they wouldn't have done anything close to that if it was an option, even then though, they only gave him like 6 different blocksassed, plus all the blocks and tools are the same shape, same size, and have pixel graphics so it'd be significantly easier to make than anything else, it's basically just a bunch of texture and stat changes.
TLDR: lmao no, that'd take wayyyyyy too long to do compared to other options for the moveset
12:28 I'm like 90% sure they only made the mii costume to try and shut up everyone annoying them with requests for a side character from a single 1996 spin off game from a genre the mario series never went back into, though if they continue to screw over waluigi fans(they probably will) then there is a semi decent chance that they'll get in at some point as one of the new mario reps added in every smash game, probably after they add all the generic Mario enemies though.

Toon link also has a lot of moveset potential??? Why weren't they mentioned whatsoever? They have a lot of unique and/or interesting source material that can be pulled from for the moveset, or at least some minor tweaks like being able to move with grounded up special.
