This is so true! I’ve worked hard to keep my skin tone as even and balanced as possible! At 46 now, post acne marks and discolouration doesnt disappear as fast as it used to! AHAs,alpha arbutin,vitamin c and niacinimide along with retinol has saved my skin!
@@KatenJace I use 30% at first then go to the 50% platinum skincare, they give you alittle set, start super slow though even with the lower percentage you will burn your face off lol and that is not a good feeling, like I’m talking 30 secs then wash you’re face
This is true because in my 50s I have worked so hard for my skin tone and I get so many compliments on it and no one even notices anything else really like my crazy roots
@@VKat I think that it was BBL Forever Young. Easy in office procedure. It took about a week maybe a week and a half for all the little burned off brown spots to flake off but it was totally worth it!
@@rubyrosemary1210 Thank you! I tried IPL but it didn't really make much of a difference, so I am starting hydroquinone. But I'll keep BBL in mind for my next office procedure :)
The way this is SO true. I’ve recently worked hard at almost 40 to fix my skin tone through hydroquinone and swapping that out for alpha Arbutin when needing to have a break. Also paying attention to my skin barrier with a ceramides moisturiser even though I have oily skin. Anyway, I’m so focused on my fine lines but just today was out of the blue told “you don’t have a wrinkle on you” (absolutely not true) “your skin is fantastic” and completely put it down to the fact that my skin now looks far more even toned and overall glowy. The fine lines that are definitely there don’t catch attention because the overall appearance of the skin looks healthy. I only do at home skincare so it was such a nice compliment and truly have Dr. Idriss to thank for the information I’ve gained in order to take care of my own skin. ❤🙌

Saaaaame. I’ve tried prp, something that’s like fish sperm (😮) and tbh none of it makes a difference. HA filler comes with mixed reviews so I’m avoiding it. I wish I could inject fat there but seems near impossible to get it right in that area 😢

Don’t believe the nonsense about freckles being sun damage, it’s just another way for the skincare industry to con money out of people. I think freckles are cute af, I love mine
I kindly disagree, dorogaya. Volume and shape changes (concavities or convexities) are, IMHO, what makes us look more different. A face with added lines and/or dark spots can be still self recognized as yourself but once protrusions, hollows and sagging enter the chat, you start not recognizing the woman in the mirror as yourself anynomore. I take ridiculously good care of my skin, I have since I was a teenager. My skin tone is pretty even, I don't wear foundation BUT My first sign of aging was under eye bags/noticeable hollows, and a saggy neck/jaw line. Honestly I'd take the discolored skin over the saggy skin...
Agree n disagree, to me, the biggest sign / tell tale of aging is one's neck, specifically when they talk, watch how the platysma behaves when they're speaking, it'll almost instantly tell u their age or thereabout..
I know I’m old because not only is my skin tone not even, but I’m still shocked when I hear someone say fuck because back or my day it was basically the worst word you could say and now it’s like no different than saying poop.

No. I have freckles and think they make people look younger myself included. Maybe some people feel insecure about the placement but makeup artists put fake freckles and blush over it to make themselves even appear younger.
No freckles are not sun damage, the skincare industry make these things up to con money out of women. I’ve had freckles since I was a kid and my skin is good & healthy. I love my freckles, they make me look younger

How does this compare to vitiligo? Technically that creates a very uneven skintone, even if it looks different from dark spots. I've definitely noticed that my vitiligo patches age and get wrinkles maybe 5-10 years faster than the rest of my face (not exaggerating--the eye bag creases are literally only within the perimeter of the vitiligo patches and stop at the first cells with melanin. It's wild.) but I am curious if the patches can have a similar effect as dark spots or if they aren't as telling aside from wrinkling earlier.
Is there any way to get an even skin tone without fading your freckles? It took a long time for me to learn to love them, and it would break my heart if I lost them now ;~;
Yessssss, please help. I'm 56 and chubby ( but pretty lol) and if my skin was all the same colour, watch out! Lol Buuuut, I need a quick fix bc I'm not diligent enough for 20 steps. 2 would be one too many 😂
