I just left mine alone. My bermuda filled in on it's own in a couple of weeks after fertilization. I guess some people have more time to kill and need to feel useful. lol

Use post hole diggers...bigger plugs, more coverage.
Pro tip: Sprinkle epsom salts and water generously and in 2-3 weeks you’ll have no bare spots and it will grow so rich in green 😻

Sadly doesn't normally work for most cold season grasses
If the bare spot root cause (no pun intended) is invisible fungus, this will not work.
Really is like Minecraft
Every time I use my plugger the dirt just get stuck in it never comes out
Probably too wet when you do it
