Is it a matte or glossy panel?
@@achmadberniando8632 it has anti glare
You can actually change the volume and brightness from yr mac if u download a software called Monitor Control
Does this monitor support 2 different input sources at the same time by dividing the screen in half ? For example on the left PC on the right MAC.
I LOOOOVE the mount!!! That in itself is so wonderful!!! I have a nice mount with great movement but wow...Love this out of the box! I'm an LG fan when it comes to TVs and Displays. Using an older LG Ultrawide and LOOVE it still.
Looks so nice! I love that it comes with the arm, someday I will have to upgrade to a 4k monitor like this
I could have saved $200 buying a desk clamp with my monitor... loving this option
I’ll take two of those... put it on my tab... honestly, it would be great if manufacturers can come out with more 4K or 5K ultrawides!
Congrats. Whole video and do not touch upon most important part of monitor: image quality.
Right?
Exactly what I was thinking!
Who cares about image quality when it's ergONOMiC
THats because it sucks and inferior to the true Ultrafine LGs sold on Apple's website. Credibility for AI gone.
Umm... did you not watch the whole thing? He talked about it multiple times.
Just picked this up, excited to set up it today! Great video!
I like several features that seem either unique to this monitor or are very hard to find on other modern hi-res monitors: The ability to pivot so that this monitor can be used in "portrait mode" is invaluable for many word processing and page layout projects. Having full 4K resolution is helpful for photo and video editing. (Although it doesn't offer the extreme resolutions for imagery from some cameras above 4K.) You cannot beat having a ready-made heavy-duty VESA-mounted monitor arm right in the box. And it is sized to make it easy to read from sitting back at a distance by using such a huge 32-inch screen. Modern Macintoshes, and PCs alike, demand hubs, docks, desktop speakers, etc., so that's a given unless you're buying an all-in-one. But if your work makes an M1Pro or M1Max computer a serious possibility, you'll likely want a good monitor like this one.
I've placed a preorder for this, excited about using it with my Linux desktop.
Great review! Is it solid or shaky? (I mean when you type or work on the desk). Thanks!
i ordered mine yesterday cant wait to set it up!!!!!
Finally a stand with a free monitor !
Im always amused by how you guys have nothing better to do
Great that you choose larger text in the display preferences as available in the built in display of the mac!
Many thanks for the video. Is the monitor "32" also for intensive office programs
and staring at the screen for hours is well suited? (read and
write) especially for those who wear glasses and have sensitive eyes?
(thanks in advance
I love it when a product is really well engineered. This is a great example. There are so many pieces that make so much sense and work so beautifully.
Thanks for the review. What is the wobble of the monitor like?
great review and nice Volonic charger.
Nice monitor. They keep getting better all the time.
How’s the light bleed situation? The Amazon reviews complained about it!...
Very nice review , can you use the MacBook to control brightness and volume of the monitor?
Awesome monitor, I like that it has such a nice mount on it. I actually made a video on how to control the brightness and sound on these LG monitors through Mac so don't worry about those controls! :D
What are your recommendations are far as color profiles between the monitor and the MacBook Pro? I have the monitor set to DCI P3 and vivid profile and there is a noticeable but very slight blue/green hue to all the whites.
Great and informative video! 👏🏻 What color profile did. you use in conjunction with the MacBook Pro? LG doesn't offer a specific ICC profile on their website for this particular monitor... thanks 🙏🏻
Other than it probably being overkill - is there any reason not to get this to serve primarily as a iPad Pro display with ShiftScreen? I have a PC that I can't quite justify upgrading just yet (though when it dies I'm definitely going MacBook - so this future proofs that too.)
I am curious about a nice table(desk) depth to use this monitor. Could you share the depth of the table in the video, or even better link to the table?
What are your thoughts on the spec comparison of this vs the upcoming Eve Spectrum? (Before any comments about its history come up, I researched it and am aware. Supposedly some changes in supply chain were made, and I've read enough to possibly give it a chance.)
Also, I see that Dublin block on your desk. I'm not far from there! Fun to see my area on a video like this.
That's actually fairly affordable considering the features it has.
Great video! Can I ask what Picture mode you're using (or were using!) - I'm a photographer and it would be great for your input :)
Do you know if this or either of the 27 inch (the 27QN880-B or 27UN880-B) are VESA compliant? Reason I ask is because to have this mounted on an extra tall mount or a dual setup. Any help would be appreciated.
Can you control the volume from your Mac if you have a separate set of speakers connected to it?
How far does the stand pivot forward on the arm when clamped to the back of the desk? My desk is 60cm deep, I like the monitor to be quite close to me because my eyesight is not great. Also, how long does it take to clamp and inflame to you desk if you want to move the desk and monitor? Thanks
Hi Andrew another great video mate in fact i just bought it but i have a question for you, Where can i get the software so i can use the split screen function and what’s the name of the software,
Thanks mate.
Does it take a second source and can switch between the two (eg, PC)?
Thanks - ordered one
What setting would you recommend for photography editing to see true colors and brightness? Thanks
What is the name of the manufacturer of your wireless charger?? It's cool looking.
This display is awesome!
the ergo stand sold separately? or exist an similar to this?
Is this good for PS5? or would you recommend other 4K 32'' 60HZ display for PS5? (Gaming picture quality)
Apple Silicon M1 compatible? I read about font aliasing problems with those
Great vid, gotta ask where u got those display cases for the little simpsons figures? I have a bunch of them that size I’d like to display but want to protect them from dust and such. Thanks!
I have a late 2013 MacBook Pro. I’m looking at picking up this monitor, what is the best way to connect my MacBook Pro with the monitor? Since I only have two thunderbolt 2 slots, should I just connect my MacBook through HDMI?
Can a Macbook Pro 15 with Touch Bar 2016 handle a dual monitor setup? Planning to get 2 of this monitors if it works.
umm i have a question, as a long time ios user is this monitor capable of running mac.os and if so how/// I dont mean like screen sharing with my macbook to the monitor i mean actually running ios like in the video if that helps thanks
Yeah after extending researching and understanding this model is 2 (Two) years old...ordered yesterday anyway ! Just could't found ANYTHING comparable in this price range. And like a lot stand & moving possibilities.Thank you for good pointing.
Do you need to still plug your macbook to your power brick while connecting to the monitor with usb C?
Does this monitor have HDMI 2.0? I need a monitor to connect a PS3 and PS5 too.
About controlling brightness and volume. That isn’t an issue with the monitor, but rather with MacOS. You can easily fix that with something like Lunar.
How come night shift and true tone is not available where it can just sample from the Mac that it was connected from (especially MacBook)?
Which is better 27ul850 vs 32un880-w please help.... required for video editing ❤️🙏
Nice looking
Best monitor for mac...whats your 1st preference????
Do you know how to use this monitor with the Macbook fully closed? Thank you so much!
Looks like the best monitor, ever. Your video has an annoying mains or fan, hum! You could have probably improved the sound in post. (Izotope RX7, anyone?). Thanks for a great review, however. :)
Do you think they’ll ever make one of these touch screen?
What is the Keyboard brand and the mouse? Can anybody mention?
Does the monitor stand "click" when you pivot it to 0 degree (landscape) and 90 degrees (portrait)?
When the monitor is not in use (standby) will it still charge the Macbook?
can you flip the mount so the monitor is mounted to a shelf on the wall?
Did you notice the weird gap between the backlight and LCD at the bottom of the monitor?
Is it possible to use with a iPad pro 2nd gen?
Does the Freesync work with a Nvidia GPU?
It seems that if I use the hole mount I will lose the ability to run cables through there and therefore will need a second hole. Is that true?
I know is not related but...what os that simpsons art on the Window? Link? Please 🥺
Does it support macbook's truetone and night shift setting?
I can see the IPS glow through the video :(
That's what grinds my nerves on my current monitor as well. Especially with a light source shining at the monitor.
does it come with a display port cable?
Which one do you prefer? 27 or 32 inches?
hows the color display? Is it 99 RBG? How are you gonna spend 8 minutes on the display and not talk about the color accuracy.
It isn't. They don't advertise it's sRGB. Crazy!
P3 (D65) 95%

Many thanks for the video. ist the monitor suitable for intensive photo editing (photoshop & indesign) 5-7 hours a day ?
wondering the same, any answer?
The screen doesn't shift to nightshift colour when you activate in your laptop? That's odd no.
How's the screen wobble?
Want to know what’s the max clearance of the c-clamp? The edge of my desk is lined with approximately 2 inch wood panels.
I'd also like to know
One thing to note with USB C video cable for 4K .. the max you are going to get is 2 metres in length and those are expensive if you want them to work, cheap ones will not carry the signal. Shorter USB C video connectivity is cheaper and more forgiving quality wise.
I’m looking right now to pair with this monitor to my Mac Pro m2 14 inch…do you have any recommendations?
very cool video. I have MacBook Pro 2018 "13" -I7 2.7 GHz with 16 GB RAM, this MBP is suitable for 4k 32 inch monitor.THX :)
Getting curious about that Lego collection in the background
But is the PPI too low vs. say a retina iMac?
How many ppi is this? I wonder if the texts are crisp.
This has almost everything I want:
HDR10
P3 Color gamut
4k
USB-C with power delivery
But missing 120+ Hz refresh.
I don't think such a monitor exists?
Do not trust "hdr10" . Due to 350 nits brightness, it couldn't make any significant difference
How stable is the mount? In another review I saw there's a significant amount of 'side to side wobble'.
I think I saw that video. He totally put it on wrong, there is a bit of wobble but it's secure.
This monitor is great since is not "apple" specific like the other crappy LG that Apple sells.
This one you can actually use it in any os without issues.
Can we disable the charging, because after 100%, it is not good to charge the mac.
Hello, is this monitor suitable for graphic design? Are the colors accurate?
did you find an answer? wondering the same
$649 at Costco right now. I didn't order yet because their website didn't list it as HDR 10. Now that I know it is I might and then I'll return my 34 inch Samsung SJ55
Looks like a great companion to the M1 mac mini!
Q: does the display auto reconfigurations when you rotate it 90 degrees into portrait, or do you have to do that manually?
Yes it does or you can manually do it through the Display setting...
i just found out my laptop has terrible ghosting and ever since I found that out I've just been noticing it and it bothers me so damn much smh it hurts my eyes
hi do you got the dimensiona of the c clamp?
This is an old review…so I wonder… in Late 2022 … can you control the brightness of this monitor by software now on a M1 mac????
That keyboard, I want it, is that Dell product?
The joystick is one of the best features of LG monitors, I would buy LG just for that.
At full height, would it be able to clear a 16 inch MBP? This looks like exactly what I need.
Same!
I’m following too.
I'd also like to know
Can you plug macbook without charge by usb c
I have a different LG monitor (34 inch ultrawide), is it possible to just buy that ARM?
Blue Mars Not sure about that specific arm, but there are a wealth of options of aftermarket monitor arms which will function very similarly
Is it HDMI 2.0 or 2.1
how is this monitor compared to BenQ PD3200U
The monitor looks good, but 60W isn't enough for 15 and 16 MacBooks... I'm still looking on DELL U2720Q (provides 90W)
Bought the Dell and promptly retuned it. Awful build with plastic and bulging display. On paper, it’s great; in reality, very disappointing. From my research online, I’m not at all alone.
@@vonEitzen I guess I got lucky, mine is perfect.
@@vonEitzen Dell, like all display manufactures make a variety of monitors from budget consumer to pro. Next time state which Dell you bought, since you get what yo pay for.
@@krane15 Seeing as I replied to a comment specifically about the Dell U2720Q, I assumed that would be understood as it was by @MarioPL. ;-) The U series is their premium one, but the U2720Q is far from it when it comes to build, sadly.
Dell is definitely better, especially with customer support, but 60W would definitely be fine. It just charges your laptop slower than the 87W standard Apple charger. That's all.
It looks like it kinda wiggles around when you move the display?
Honestly this is perfect .... just need the refresh rate to be higher :[
Why is the refresh rate Important? What’s a good rate?
@@malcolmjelani3588 screen movement is much smoother. 144hz is a good starting point for a smooth screen experience
Looks simmilar to BenQ EW3280U, same res, adaptive sync, DCI-P3 95%. BenQ got better speakers, DP 1.4 and 10bit (dunno LG). Im curious about that Nano-IPS panel, hows sRGB and Adobe RGB.
BenQ is more expensive and no such a cool arm
What kind of screw driver did you use to adjust the arm? I got the 27 inch model and could not unscrew that for my life! I have an unusual tick desk.
It is a Dewalt screwdriver kit. Worked well!
Do you know if the clamps fit a 4”thick desk?
