Contempt for a natural cycle is so on point! When I got my first period I was eager for it, looking forward to it, I just would stay awake at night praying for it to come that day, I was so excited to get my first period!! Even now I see a period as a time of release and a hiatus. I don't feel like myself until I get a period, especially when I am in the postpartum stage. In the Bible God tells women to take it easy, take a week off, and to relax. But with commercials from places like Tampax and Always society is shoving the idea that a period is something that only holds you back rather than being a time of taking care of yourself, or on the flip side you should not take it easy at all when you do have a period and that you should be going the speed of a freight train. I'm so glad you brought that up!

Mines is so painfully unbearable, I have to take ibuprofen at the strongest level. It’s definitely not a joy for all. I think I have endometriosis. I can’t work at all the first day and have to consistently call out of work which isn’t good when I work for someone else.

People begin to redraw from you and want you behaving the way they want is what I’m facing at my work place .
No one talks to me just cause they not used to you saying no.
And I’ve gotten to realize that’s a form of manipulation and you need to stay strong .
    You’re enough for yourself.

Women are encouraged to be masculine? Are you forgetting that those women were little girls at some point and the adults in their lives robbed them from the beauty of femininity and instead of embracing it, they started to resent it? When all they hear is "having a boy is easier"?

I loved the section on living a "soft life," and couldn't agree more with your insights. The soft life content never sat well with my spirit, even though it was often from professing Christians. I was literally lying in bed thinking through this last night and love that this was the first video I saw today. God is so cool🥰

I completely agree that prioritizing a soft life can make you weak in all aspects. Similar to how bacteria strengthen our immune systems. We have to go through challenges and obstacles to refine those characteristics such as grace and kindness because we can relate or understand the struggles and experience. You are on it!

Hi Jasmyne, I would like to truly thank you. I am a young teenager and for a while I felt the need to act masculine to fit in with others I set aside all my morals and beliefs just to fit in especially because of social media and bullying, I once despised my period because I got it when I was 9 I thought I was disgusting since that's what everyone around me said I was so scared of being a woman. Then I came across you. You brought me back to what my parents guided me too when I was a kid. The safety and softness I felt when I was a genuine feminine kid I can now feel again. Thank you for being such a safe space and thank you for truly saving me even if you never knew it. Keep glowing. Sorry for the long read 💓

I’m really glad I found your channel. What you said about the “softness” movement makes a lot of sense to me. I have envied people in the past who seemed to have a super relaxed lifestyle when I myself couldn’t seem to get the hang of it. But I started to realize it’s like living in a bubble which isn’t realistic and likely not the way we are to serve in this life. The way you explained it is great, it makes so much sense to me.

Once I started understanding my menses were a preparation and cleansing, I developed a deeper appreciation for it. I mean it still hurts and is inconvenient but I don't resent it or my weakness to it anymore. And that's a step up for mental health.

I needed this video so much. Releasing the hatred of my menstral cycle at the beginning of my spiritual journey really helped me embrace myself as a woman. But I wasn't aware all these changes would help as well. These days you don't get how to's on femininity. You get "empowerment" and "bossbabe" dogma. I'm so tired of not being allowed to be feminine. Of not allowing myself to be soft and giving by nature. I want to let go of being a "control freak" so badly, it's caused consent anxiety in my life having to do everything and never being allowed to have help. Never allowing myself to accept it, receive.
This video is a godsend. Thank you.

I love cherry picking your advice - very little of it works for me personally, but I value gaining insight from people I disagree with. It helps me stay aligned with my value of seeing the humanity in all people. I already use "you and me versus the problem" in my relationship, but seeing it applied here in a different way has allowed me to understand another perspective I hadn't considered before. I also really value your points about stress being good for us, and for striving for teachable moments, embracing challenge. I think a good word here is striving for grace. Giving it. Accepting it. Expecting it.

Yours is the most nuanced take I've seen on the soft life trend. I think it's an overcompensation for those who want the softness of femininity but not the vulnerability, and it's as fragile as porcelain. Can't wait for your hormone video! I'm getting ready to get off the hormonal IUD I've used to manage horrible periods and would love to be better prepared to help myself heal.

Thank you so much for this video. Your content is pure and informative. I 100% agree with the period part. I started my cycle at 11 years and they always felt like an inconvenience. However, a few years ago I didn't see my periods for close to six months and I was so worried, Dr's found cysts on my ovaries and said I had PCOS at 22 and that broke me. I read about it & prayed, reduced carbs, sugar, exercised, etc and after one round of medication, my cycle resumed. I asked God for forgiveness for hating my periods and I also apologised to my body. I now appreciate them even with the discomfort. I haven't missed my periods since.
Also I'm highly passive aggressive because whenever I aired my concerns they were met with retaliation. Although I'm learning to be assertive, no shouting to get my points across.

Now when I know it’s coming around I eat good foods, clean my room, clean my bedding and make it all comfortable, choose clean comfortable clothes to wear, take a shower right before, put a heating pad, water bottle and ibuprofen next to my bed, and I feel SO much better.

I see your point where you come from, but two other RUclipsrs (Habits of a Homemaker & Bindi Marc) they do not describe Soft Life in that negative way. They don't teach it in a way of avoiding all work, struggle and stress, they talk more about how to change things and get a routine to help avoid unnecessary stress, so that you can slow down and enjoy the moment and be content in homemaking etc. However, I am glad to see you approaching this topic since there are some out there maybe showing it in the way you are describing

hallo jasmyne, i trink you‘re a good kind of a woman and you inspirier me to be more feminine. After watching one video Iimmediately subcribsed to your channel. I really believe in your voice and words. I grew up with a single mother who always wanted me to be to become some sort of a career woman, to be independent, strong blabla. So, Now i am going to be married and I have found the one. what i was going to aim at is that being feminine doesn’t mean you are weak. It means embracing your natural self, how i was born and how god wanted me to be. Due to my I upbringing I struggle to put that into reality… I wanted to personally say thank you, you help me realising my aspirations. I listen to you, your voice is soothing and more meaningfully your words have depth. I think more people/ young women should hear what you say. Since feminism/ i rather call it „aggressive feminism“ so many young women believe that masculinity and femininity can be lived out in the same way or can be put on the same level. But that’s not right! Those two entities are far from being the same, they cannot be equal, they do not have the same character… You’re astoundingly pointing that out. I just want to say thank you and god bless and may the holy ghost lead all women on earth to recognising and embracing our true self, our femininity.

Thank you for your videos. My parents are really woke and I felt something was wrong. I became a Christian years ago and I learned to cherish my. I didn’t realise how many subtle attacks there were on my gender until recently. Being feminine (not trans) these days is an act of rebellion.

Hello, I really like your videos, and I'd appreciate it if you could make a video about how to coop with anxiety. I think that's something that a lot of women go through especially when in public.

I would like to offer a video idea, if you want to do this kind of video ofc! Can you make a video on how a woman in this modern world can be self preservant without seeming "boring" or stuck up/off putting to men? For example, if you don't want to have sex before you two are in a relationship? But your boyfriend/ a guy you are seeing, is sort of pressuring you into it, saying that if you don't want to "give him sex" that means you don't like him, you should chill out a bit etc. Are these relationships worth it or is it a sign that he's not mature yet and/or doesn't want a relationship with you? How to find a man that values you, how can you know he's the one? Those are just some of the questions going on in my head when thinking about modern relationships.
Thank you for your advices, your videos are meaningful 💕

I actually love getting my period now and hate being on birth control or having mirena IUD bc it makes me feel like I don’t know what’s going on. Plus when I’m on my period I have a reason to slow down and this is a good reminder. I see it as such now and it really makes me love my woman self.

For the first time in 13 years I stopped taking the birth control pill completely after seeing your video about it. I had been thinking about it for almost a year already. I'm on my last "fake period" at the moment. I'm pretty nervous about it since I have severe chronic depression and anxiety, and almost weekly migraines (that I feel might be hormone related) that last multiple days. I don't want it to get worse because I'm at my worst right now. But I really want to see how I do without it. I'd absolutely love a video about balancing hormones because I feel like mine are all out of whack because of the amount of stress I feel daily. I hope stopping the pill will allow me to exercise more since I'm barely able to do that with the amount of migraines I have.

I hope things have stabilized as your natural cycle reestablished. I had hormonal migraines in the second half of my cycle which turned out to be triggered by an inability it properly utilise progesterone so it ended up throwing all sorts of other hormones off (it was one of many symptoms of PMDD for me). It is worth tracking where in your cycle migraines occur as they can be hormonal triggered, the benefit if they are is that they tend to reduce or disappear after menoupose.
